Ransom Road RV park is well maintained and has all the amenities a Winter Texan might want, except no pool which is ok. My husband and I have been coming to Ransom Road for the last 9 years and stay 4 months at a time. Eight of those years were very good. Because of the friends we have there, it was always like coming home and was a fun place to stay for the winter. There are always activities such as games, pot lucks, etc. It's a beautiful park, friendly, helpful staff except for the manager. He is not the right person to manage an RV park. Most of the people at RR are Winter Texans who come and stay every year. But because of the management, most of them have moved on to other parks. That is a real shame because it has changed the feel of the park, it is no longer the close community that it was before. We loved coming here, but will not return. We will be back to this area, but will not be back to stay at Ransom Road. Maybe one day when the management changes. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the most well maintained park we ever experienced. Tried to get into park this yr a couple of times and were told full up. However, when we visited multiple times, there were always spaces. Told they do not want winter Texans. And told lots of winter Texan left and will not be back. Treated badly by manager. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very good park with concrete pads and streets. Helpful staff that takes you to your site. We had a very tight backin because cars were parked so close and we have a 20ft travel trailer. I'm sure not all the sites are quite so tight. Also the wifi was very slow and you have to pay extra for cable tv. Otherwise, good place, close to everything. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean and well kept park. Good help getting to the site and ensuring we had all we needed to hook up. We were able to get 2 nights at the Passport America rate but they were just in the process of changing their policy to only allow one night at the PA rate. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great RV Park, stayed two nights and we were even guided to our space. Assisted by Steve which he even helped us park our Fifth wheel. Great location, and great places to eat close by. Easy booking and easy check in. Mostly full timers there but they were very friendly. Public boat ramp very close by along with a park and public pier. Clean laundry matt and clean showers/restrooms . We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice RV park just a few miles from Aransas Pass. Clean facilities. Lots of seasonal rigs. Big Rig friendly. Sites were a bit tight and close to neighbors but this seems to be the way things are in many Aransas Pass RV parks. Price reflects weekly rate. Wifi poor. Picnic tables at sites. Clean facilities. Windy all the time. Nice walking areas near the water and adjacent county park. We will stay here again in our motorhome. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you are interested in sightseeing, bird watching or fantastic fishing trips, this is the place to stay. Extremely nice and hassle-free registration. John not only drove us to our site but also helped us back in. He gave us all the information needed for our dog and our comfort. Sights are level and well maintained as well as the remainder of the RV park. Didn't use restrooms on park grounds. Quiet surroundings. Park is located close to stores, restaurants, the bay and Corpus. We will stay there again. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This was the cleanest RV Park I have ever visited. Everything looked perfect. All sites are paved, the office folks were great and the campers were very friendly. I think there are a lot of older folks who have been coming for a long time because there was a lot of socializing. The community room was clean, carpeted and had a big screen tv, a pool table and a kitchen. More importantly, people were using it. A group of men were playing pool and food for a potluck was being prepared in the kitchen. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly rate and does not include electricity. We had a nice site on the canal with an extra pad. The park's facilities are meticulously maintained, landscaping is inviting. Close to town and boat launch. Staff is friendly and helpful. We have a large rig and were able to back it in with no problem. Plenty of width for slides and room to park two vehicles. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What a great park. We have been there 2 summers in a row. The staff is great. They have spoiled us by picking up our trash bag at our site 7 days a week. Fishing is good if you have your own boat; if not, pier fishing on Port Aransas a wonderful ferry ride over from Aransas pass. H-E-B is right down the street. Good little town. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a one month stay. Very nice park. Wide, paved interior roads are easy to maneuver for big rigs. Clean concrete pads, beautifully landscaped, super clean restrooms, showers, and laundry room. Book exchange in Captain's Den clubhouse. Cable was $10 extra to "rent" a converter box. WIFI was included and worked well for us, and a $100 electric deposit is required for monthly stay. NOTE: The unused balance of electric deposit paid with credit card will not be credited back to your credit card but will be refunded with a check mailed to you a few weeks later. A little inconvenient for a full-time traveler. Would stay here again. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Appears to be mostly permanent residents and oil field workers with few RVing people. Very noisy early in the morning when the workers go to work in their diesel pickups. Crowded park with no pool. They advertise having Wi-Fi but it doesn't work well enough to be useful. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice concrete pads. A lot of permanent or 6 month residents but very tidy. A little crowded because some of the sites back right into another site, but everything else was great. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate is based on Passport America. Nice park for short term stay (we stayed two nights in transit). This park is not for us for the long term....it is cramped. Sites are close together. Our slide out is 4 feet from our neighbor's slide out. It is neat and clean and folks are friendly. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Motorhome.
