This was our second year visiting Shady Creek. The monthly rate increased over $150 per month. At the same time, the wifi was unusable but was upgraded in January and was much better. The dog park was flooded from construction next door and the paved roads were in need of repair. We had problems with unstable elec in our first site but was immediately moved to the new section which fixed the problem. Site flooding was an issue forcing a walk through ankle deep water to dump the tanks after a rain storm. Don't get me wrong, the park is good given the available campgrounds in the metroplex. The value, in my opinion, has suffered. No picnic table, no patio, no cable yet one of the highest priced parks in the area. Just check it out before you book. Flooding is a problem in the new section so watch out! No pull throughs. Tends to serve long term stay clients. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Park is very neat, clean, and well maintained. The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Park roads are paved with long level gravel pads. There are no pull thrus; however, I had no problem backing my 38' fifth wheel into the site. My site was perfectly level. There is ample parking for RV, tow vehicle, and a 3rd vehicle. All the hookups are in their proper place, are well maintained, and properly functioned. There is nice walking trail through the park, and there is also a very nice fenced dog park. The park was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. There is no cable, but there are plenty of air channels in the DFW area. The WiFi is, as with most parks, spotty and intermittent. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back again. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a reservation. They were full during our stay. Office staff was friendly. Despite the name, there is not much shade here. Asphalt roads with mostly level, gravel sites. About average distance between sites. I would not call it spacious. They recently added about 50 sites at the far south end of the park. Those new sites have more room between sites. No picnic tables at the sites. Room for parking two cars at all sites. The park is mostly permanent residents, but their sites are neat and clean. They only have 6 large capacity washers and 6 dryers. Not enough capacity for a park of this size. Nice, clean, common area with swimming pool and BBQ grill. Grass mowed regularly. The wifi is horrible. It is very slow except during the middle of the night. Some tight maneuvering on the roads. Poor drainage. Fenced dog park, but frequently wet/muddy. Water puddles around many sites and the creek floods during heavy rain. During the spring rainy season, I have seen the dog park completely under water and running water under some of the rigs parked along the creek. There are new housing developments going in behind the RV park and just north. As more concrete is poured, the flooding will get worse. Lots of nice grass for walking the dog. A big downside is having to travel on hwy-360 to get to the park. The speed limit on hwy-360 is 60mph with stop lights and numerous businesses along the road. Take your time and go slower with your RV. Propane is available on site. This is a very nice park, but I think it is poor value. They are a little over priced. There just are not many RV parks in the North Dallas area. Next time we are in the area, we will probably stay at the state park. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Nightly rate based on monthly rate. Rate for one night is $45. Park is very nice. Spots are gravel, and very near level. All spots are back-in but are angled to make it easy. No patio, but lots of grass. Lots of space between between spots. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Park is well maintained, grass is mowed and trimmed every week. Lots of full timers, but all are well kept. Outside of city, so nice and quiet. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here on and off for 6 years. Spending a full year at one point. I continue to see improvements. One big problem is the WiFi, we couldn't connect. It would be a big improvement to get cable tv. Money spent on landscaping could have been spent for cable. Staff is friendly, park is clean. And thank goodness they have stopped the trash removal at 4 am. We'll be back, best park in the area. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

If you can't find something to do in Dallas, it's your fault. Plenty of good shopping and eats. Try Market Street in Frisco for your groceries. Area is growing so fast I won't even recognize it next time.

This an oasis in the fast growth crowded far north Dallas suburbs. We were visiting relatives in Frisco and Shady Creek was an excellent choice. Easy to find, very clean, extremely nice and helpful staff. Pool was pristine, sprinklers kept the grass green and it was well trimmed. Yes, there are full timers, but the only way I could tell was at around 6:00 PM when they were returning from work. Shady Creek has rules (non burdensome, just normal RV park rules) and they appear to be enforced to ensure a pleasant stay for all. Yes, they do not have pull thrus, but very adequate hook/unhook for our 43 ft DP pulling a 4 door ram pu. We will absolutely stay here again. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Clean park with nice dog walk. Only 2 toilets for entire large patronage. Friendly staff but park is always very busy but they`re expanding with 50 plus sites in a few months. I would come again. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Travel Trailer.

Appears there are new owners and they have made nice improvements. We stayed over the holidays to see family like many others in the park. Outdoor fireplace and grill available, horseshoes and basket ball. Nice well kept pool. They are also expanding and will have more sites. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

This is a very well kept park occupied by many longer term rv's. Spaces are a little tight but didn't affect the quality of the stay. Pool looked great though we didn't partake. Laundry, exercise room and small library are clean and very nice. Propane and rv washing and waxing is available on site. Make reservations! This park seems to stay pretty full. 972-347-5384. 1893 FM 1385, 76227. (about 5 miles west of Dallas Tollway and about a mile north of highway 380). Great place! Large, clean, good looking park with many level, roomy gravel FHU (30 and 50 amp) sites. Very big rig friendly. All sites are back-ins but there are lots of grassy spaces behind and on each side of the sites. The front desk staff members were all friendly and efficient. Park has a laundry with several washers and dryers, clean restrooms and showers, great pool, outside gathering/ conversation area with large fire pit and chairs, fitness room, clubhouse, basketball court, activity schedule, designated dog walking area. Propane sales. Private washing service available for RVers who want this service. The WiFi, though free (and there were several towers), didn't work for us. We had to use our MiFi (as usual in nearly every park we visit now). Metered water and electricity. It was hot the week we were there, so that added to our cost. Depending on the traffic, about 25 minutes to downtown Denton and a half hour to Carrollton or Frisco. We could easily stay here again for a longer time. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here before in 2012, and has been a change of ownership since then. WiFi is now complimentary and some of the best we've seen. We were here during very heavy rains and the drainage is very good. Gravel sites still rut, the pool was under construction. Laundry facilities have been upgraded. The park is very well laid out, asphalt roads are a plus. Dog park was completely submerged. The FEMA trailers of old are gone. This park is on the upswing. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Like the mowed grass and the landscaping. The new gravel at some sites was a plus. I liked that fact we had plenty of space to back in and also park our car. Each site had plenty of room. Campground has a lot of longer term folks but no problem for us overnighters. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good place and we will be back. Park is approximately 98% permanents. Don't stay here unless you don't mind getting woken up every weekday morning at 5:15 am by your neighbor running his diesel truck for 10 minutes before he leaves for work! Very unfriendly park (except for office staff). Stayed here for a week to visit family. Facilities have greatly improved over 2 years ago, but still very much feels like we are in a trailer park. We won't be back. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Creek appears to be a fulltimers park with an occasional vacancy that allows highway travelers to come in for a night or two. Call early for an available site. The park itself is about ½ a mile off of an incredibly busy Hwy 380 so highway noise is not a problem. They accept Good Sam so the nightly rate was reasonable. Sites are all back-in with ping pong ball size white stones and parking for a towed vehicle. They have almost two pages of their park rules and regulations. Internet is offered but it is very poor and allowed us to connect for about 5 minutes during our stay. For our Internet needs, including posting this review, we were required to use our Verizon phone hotspot. This park will probably not make the list of my favorite RV parks. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

I stayed there for 5 days while visiting family and working in the Dallas area. The place is very clean, quiet, and well maintained. The roads are paved but the sites are gravel and fairly level. I've seen them adding gravel to re-level those sites that need work. I was told that they are under new management. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Making reservations was easy and they accommodated me well when I needed to add another day, even though it was a holiday weekend. They just said: We'll find a place for you and they did. I have stayed there 3 times already and I've always been very happy with it. I'd recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the north Dallas area.
