Mar 2018 - $48.00
We were promised a pull thru, none available on arrival, had to take a back in and these are not pad sites we parked on. Something in the way of concrete is a better option for us. It was a bit strange to try to go down a muddy road to access the park. Hopefully better in the future. Many living there don't make for a good camping experience as the dogs leave poop around where they go. Our experience wasn't the best so we moved on after 2 nights of our week stay. - Ginger56
Sep 2017 - $75.00
Public bathroom are basic concrete. Wifi never worked the entire weekend. The grass has thick stickers, so bad that the dogs could not even go to the restroom. They would cover and stick to the bottom of your shoes and, in turn, you carry them in the house. - goodnightfamily

We stay here from June 2016 until August 2016. Great experience, clean, staff friendly and a quiet place!!! - Gj0825

We stayed 4 nights in our motorcoach and enjoyed this park. They made it easy to make a last minute reservation and hemp us set up. The sites are all super long concrete pads which helped a lot. 50amp at all sites was a plus with Dual water connections. We will come when we visit our grandchildren every other month. - Ginger56
Aug 2017 - $50.00
This dirt "lot" they call a RV park is horrible. The people who own those are ripping everybody off. They charge $700 a month! There is nothing here! Nothing! No restrooms, no showers, no pool, no amenities whatsoever other than a flatbed trailer where you put all your trash on. Don't stay here. - D-law
Jul 2017 - $40.00
Man, came in during the middle of the night due to maintenance issues in our Prevost and the owners met us because it's pretty hard to find in the dark. Small place. Clean level concrete pads, 50 amp service. The night before we had a spot in the panhandle with trucks rattling the place all night so we were shocked how quiet this place was. Big gas station convenience store a quarter mile away was pretty convenient. Got the feeling we were out in the middle of nowhere but turns out civilization was only 2 or 3 miles away. Couldn't get anyone out to look at the rig on Sunday and didn't have air conditioning in July 100 degree heat. The maintenance guy for the place offered to look at it and had it up and running in an hour and wouldn't take a penny for it. I just can't say enough good things about these people and their little park. I'll be back. John K. - John_Kelly

May 2017 - $40.00
Do not arrive after the office closes. Fortunately we didn't as the site we had been assigned in advance was worse than bad. No electricity on a full hook-up site. The water hookup was flooded. Many long-term stays in park. Probably the noisiest park we have ever been in. Pass this park by unless you need to stay close to north Dallas. - gene a
Oct 2013 - $40.00
The only good thing about this park was a place to stay while visiting my daughter and grandchildren. Take your own toilet paper as none is ever in the restrooms and do not know if or when they are cleaned, the showers are just big enough to turn around in barely. People take their dogs into the bathrooms and some are not on leash . This is the only park close to where I needed to be that had any sites or I would not have stayed here. - possumtrotky
May 2013 - $20.00
Rate reflected two-week stay. This is the ONLY RV park in Plano, or we probably would have gone somewhere else. We were here to visit our son, so not much choice (other campers said the same thing). It is a pretty run-down camper / mobilehome park right along a frontage road next to the very busy freeway. People around you are nice and pretty much keep to themselves, but the place gives you second thoughts about staying there. We did stay the two weeks, and had no problems at all, so it wasn't as bad as it "looked". - MarieB

Mar 2018 - $42.00
I made this reservation weeks ahead of our actual stay. Then I called a week before our arrival to see if we could come in a day earlier than reserved. Due to flooding in the area the park was having issues when I made the first contact, in February so I needed to know if the issues were corrected so all services were now working. To ALL the above questions, I was told YES. I called the day before we were to arrive and I was told everything was good and We could go into my reserved site with no moving. When we arrived we were told we did not have a reservation until the next day! I explained what I had arranged with their reservation folks on the phone. The reservation clerk at the check in said that could not have happened because there was no mention of it in the computer. She was very hostile and very negative with us. it was a really bad experience. And it went down hill from that first encounter with this husband and wife team. They were rude, accusatory and very unwelcoming to new campers. We were stuck with no place to stay with a large fifth wheel and my husband needing to go be somewhere else the next day (we were not on vacation). They finally gave us a spot but were told we had to move to the originally reserved site after the camper that was there now moved. As it turned out we were told later by another reservation person we were going to have to move a day earlier because the husband and wife duo double booked a site. Other guests checking in during this awful event were also not treated with appropriate decorum either. I don't think either of these people ever smiled or said a welcoming word to anyone while we were there. This appears to be a really nice park, but the mix up with the reservation and the very nasty unprofessional way were treated left a very bad feeling. All other park workers were very nice and helpful. But I did expect much better treatment from a Good Sam affiliated park. Not sure I want to try another stay. - JLH1950
Feb 2018 - $58.00
This is 1 of the nicest county parks we have stayed at. It has the spaciousness of a campground but the amenities of a private park. The landscaping is nice, everything is new and well taken care of. The staff is present but not intrusive and puts a lot of care into the maintenance of this campground. The location is about 30 minutes drive from downtown Dallas and the town of Grapevine is very cute with some shopping and dining. There's a really cool park (Oak Grove Park) which is a couple of miles away. It has tons of walking trails, a really cool fenced in dog park and plenty of space for outdoor activities. The campground itself had plenty of room to stretch your legs and an off leash dog area by the lake. There is also a small sandy swimming beach. There was a small walking trail through the woods and overall it's a pet friendly place except for the stickers that get stuck in the dog paws. Those are plentiful here. The sites are level, paved 50 amp FHU with cable. Some of the lake front sites have a private deck right off the site. That was really cool and a great place to have a drink and relax. Verizon was 5 d/l, ATT was 20d/l and T mobile was 15 d/l without a booster. I didn't try their free wifi. There is no onsite propane but there's a delivery company that comes on Saturday and will fill your tanks for you. It's expensive though but it is a nice perk to have. You don't even have to be there when they fill it. Just call them in advance and get on the list and they'll pull right up to your RV and fill your tank. - Jessie1975

We had to get our rig aligned at Cowser Tire and Service on a Monday so we stayed at this nearby park over the weekend. They were completely full due to an event at the racetrack but due to a cancellation, they were able to get us in. We had site 204 which was spacious. Some other sites were pretty close together. The staff here are some of the friendliest we have met! It's clean and well maintained. We had a concrete patio pad. The skeet shooting is nearby but it wasn't bad. - Honalee
Dec 2017 - $60.00
We have stayed at this park many times over the past 8 years. Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff. We have watched the park grow from a trailer park with a few RV spots to a very nice RV park. We especially want to thank the staff for working very hard to accommodate our change in dates due to the early arrival of our grandson. They jumped through some hoops to get us a nice site despite being full and busy. - krj89

Feb 2013 - $35.00
Went here when the price was reduced for the "off" season. A nice park but we have been to much nicer and far less expensive parks. $65 on season is ridiculous. It is clean and the senior citizen staff attentive. Over priced and nothing special. I believe this city owned park on a Corps of Engineers park takes advantage of its central Dallas/Fort Worth to overcharge customers. - artgpo
Nov 2005 - $50.00
We camped here for the Inaugural Dickies 500 NASCAR race in November 2005. We weren't expecting much and we weren't disappointed. Shower room is big; we didn't use it but lots of folks did and we didn't hear anyone complain about it. Grocery concession run by Albertson's with typically high prices for an event such as this. Ice was $5 per bag and it half-melted before reaching the trailer. Church services on Sunday morning before the race and several other activities available in campground area. No golf carts allowed, no gasoline-powered cycles or ATVs allowed. No motorcycles allowed in campground areas. If you don't have a bike, you walk everywhere. The big draw is the NASCAR race. Camping is convenient to the track so there's no three-hour wait in traffic to get to the race. Keep in mind although it's Ft. Worth, it's technically the desert; it's hot during the day, even in November when we stayed here, and cold at night. No quiet hours: it's pretty much a 24-hour tailgate party. Sites are 20'x50' but there's no limit on the number of RVs and vehicles that can be crammed into each site. The site on the awning side of our trailer had two small travel trailers and a Class A on it. Speedway offers fresh water fill-ups and honey wagon service "for a nominal fee". We didn't fill our waste tanks, and our fresh water tank had more than enough water for the weekend, so we didn't use either service and we can't give the cost. - Rick&maribethinMS
