This is now owned by Sun Resorts so a corporate presence is now very evident. We have come here for many years to stay several months each winter. However, it has become increasingly difficult to make reservations because of the increased number of cabins that have been added each year and consequently the number of rv sites has been reduced dramatically. There are also many more permanent residents who use up many spaces as well. Reservations for several months now need to be made at least 2 years in advance! Campground is clean; all services are now contracted out. Since managers only look after this resort there has been a loss of the personalized atmosphere that was so unique and special when owners were running the campground. No Christmas lights or decorations this year that were always done in the common areas of the campground. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Although this is a very clean and spacious park it is not worth $57 per night. I had meetings in Austin so we stayed a week. The sites are nearly all pull through, are wide and long enough for any rig. There is a picnic table and grass on each site.

However, there are really no other amenities. A small exercise area and a nice laundry (but at $2 per load). They have an activities room which I did not use; perhaps it has an appeal to some. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Austin is a big city, take your pick. We spent a few hours at Balcones Canyon NWR and enjoyed that.

Very nice commercial park with all the amenities. Only complaints are its 15 miles outside the city and is pricey. However, it is very clean, has excellent utilities and full hook-ups. Adequate space between sites with nice grass area in between. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Great RV Park located near Lake Travis. The park has two heated swimming pools along with a hot tub. There is also a game room with ping pong/air hockey/pool table/other games. Everything in the park was well maintained. Garbage was picked up everyday at your site. The WiFi worked well although it required that you log on each day. The park was bought by Sun RV Resorts in 2015 and they are still in the process of changing over the management of the park. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Traffic along RR620 can be very busy (especially during Austin's rush hours). The park is located a few miles away from shopping areas.

Above rate was for 6 days with 7th day free. I agree with previous ratings of very nice park with good sites and good utilities. I would have given it a 10 it if had a stronger wifi to allow streaming. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Very clean and well managed park. We had a great site in front. The section we were in the site was sloped toward the front so it made it a bit of a challenge to level. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean park with wide sites. Both pools are closed for renovation. Good power and water service. Curb side trash pickup daily. Many full timers with tidy sites. Rules say no pet fencing but I notice two sites with them. must be nice to be special. Overall a very nice CG but very pricey. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

The average nightly rate we paid includes the monthly rate discount with our bill for electricity usage added.

We had a long, level gravel (crushed granite) pull-thru site with concrete patio and picnic table. The access roads are all asphalt and the hook ups were very good. The Tengo WiFi was fair to good (depending on what time of day you were using it). They collect all of your trash and recycling (you must separately bag and mark it if you plan to recycle) at the curb every morning The staff and very friendly and helpful and the grounds are very well maintained. The only negatives about our visit was that the beautiful swimming pool was being renovated during the month of our stay and there were very limited social activities coordinated by the park. If we were in the Austin area, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed twice for a month at a time - Great sights and fantastic staff. everyone is friendly and helpful. Pool is clean and nice. Huge dog park. Park is kept groomed and spotless. They even come around and pick up garbage. Could easily live there. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is nice, campers are great. Nice sealed roads and large spaces.

Lawn mowing frequency is TERRIBLE. Expect shin high grass presently and BYO lawn mower. Many campers are complaining that they pay $600 a month and the lawns are being mowed only every 2-3 weeks in the height of summer. Makes the place look scrappy. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Huge, level sites, easy to maneuver (even for our 43' rig), large dog park, hot tub, two pools, camp store, pavilion, two very clean laundry rooms, mail, garbage pick-up, etc. Nice area of Austin for accessing Lake Travis and Pace Bend. We had Time Warner in to hook up broadband internet and phone; park provides cable tv channels. They allowed our x-pen for the dog. Great for monthly/seasonal stays. Lots of Canadians in winter, which is great. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The little mexican restaurant down the road, Los Pinos, is awesome and has $1 breakfast tacos to go. If you are there in early April, check out Turkey Bend, on the other side of the river, to see the most amazing Bluebonnet fields.

The website makes this park look exceptionally nice. I have to say I was disappointed. The space between the sites is standard. We had a long gravel pull-in overlooking an empty water storage/pond/? That was fine. Both our neighbors were long term as were most of the sites in our area. In walking around most of the park was filled with long term renters. One area of the park, west side and kind of hidden, was filled with people who had been there a long time. Many of the trailer were very ran down. What I don't understand is why do parks, this one included, put long term renter with short term stay people, i.e. 1-7 days. We are traveling, they are woking, not a lot in common to share. I did like the curbside trash pick up. The place was very clean, easy check in and easy in/out exit to the road. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The city of Austin, Winery/Hill Country, Lake Travis, biking around Lady Bird Lake, The Capital, and Congress St and all its great restaurants.

We have stayed in this park before. Many of the campers are seasonal or long term. We were one night. The park had had an unusual amount of rain so the site was a little soggy on one side but we were able to get in ok and get out our slides. The park is nice but a little pricy in that the price does not include cable. There are a lot of local channels though and shopping, groceries, and gas are within a few miles as well as places like Home Depot. We would stay here again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For walking dogs at night, take a flashlight. There is limited illumination.

Rate was based on monthly rate plus electric. Park is nice with comfortably wide and long sites that drain well in rain storms. Sites are mostly pull throughs and roads are paved and in good condition. Park is pretty easy to get around. The site we were in was pretty level, but some others slope quite a bit.

Office staff is friendly and helpful.

Park uses Tengo Internet which goes down frequently for 30 minutes here and there every day.

Cable TV is only available if you get a set top box from the cable company and can hook it up to your TV. Hooking up directly to the pedestal connector just gets you a message that you need a set top box. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are very long, plenty of room for my 45' motor home and car. They are level, gravel pad; most are pull-through sites. Each site has a picnic table and grassy area. The campground is well maintained and the staff is very helpful, nice and friendly. The roads are nicely paved. My only comment would be I would love to have more space between sites but that is the case in most RV parks. This one is better than most. I will definitely stay here again, in fact we already reserved a month in October! We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Eat BBQ at Rudy's on 620. Also delicious tacos at Torchy's also on 620. If you visit between April and November go see the flight of the bats at the Congress Ave. bridge at dusk.
