Usually we have pull through but this time we had a pull in/back out site. They face the pool area and it was a week end. Not a good choice. Get used to everyone taking a short cut through your site. Site was easy in and out and unlike some of the pull throughs, not too far off level to the front. It is a nice park but now is part of the Sun chain so time will tell. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

One of the nicest parks we've stayed in over the years. Great, friendly staff. Nice facilities (biggest and nicest dog park we've ever seen!). Lots of choices in types of sites, from smaller backins to larger pull throughs. All sites are gravel, all roads are paved. Utilities were clean and worked well. The park is actually located in Hudson Bend/Lakeway area near Lake Travis. Groceries, shopping, golf, restaurants are all nearby. Wifi slow as is the norm in every park we stay in. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit The Oasis on nearby Comanche Trail. It is an entertainment and dining complex on the cliffs overlooking Lake Travis. Spectacular view and awesome sunset view!

I visited during the very busy season and the ladies in the office worked very hard to accommodate me. I stayed at this park 4 years ago and it was great. Now it is owned by a national company and it is still great. There were many improvements, but I don't know if they were done before or after the national company took over. The staff works hard to make your stay enjoyable and I have nothing but positive memories of my stay. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Stayed in a 45 ft. motorhome. Pull-thru big enough for rig and toad. Reasonably level crushed stone. This park is "sort-of" big rig friendly ... some corners are tight and there are big rocks placed too close to the corners. Close to shopping and restaurants. Quiet park. Nice area to visit. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

This is a nice large campground with paved roads, gravel pads, concrete patios with picnic tables, and grassy areas between sites. Our long premium site C6 faced the pool and retaining pond, but we had to use 2 sewer hoses because of the distance to the connections. There are some small trees, but we had no satellite issues. The wifi worked but was slow and disconnected unexpectedly. There appear to be many amenities in the park. Our main negative is the large drain at the entrance to the park. We unhooked our tow car at the entrance and drug our tow bar on the asphalt due to the drain - it was apparent that many others had done the same thing. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Weekly pull-through rate.
All campgrounds in the Austin area are expensive for what they are. We've stayed in several of the in-town campgrounds which aren't nearly as clean or spacious as La Hacienda.
It's a 5-10 minute drive to good shopping. Getting into the city (about 15 miles) took between 35 and 90 minutes depending on Austin's legendarily horrific traffic.
Wifi was good. Our site was well-groomed gravel on a slope, but out trailer leveled easily. Severe storms during our visit washed out some of the sites, but management quickly restored them. Personnel were friendly and helpful.
Will definitely stay here again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

Under new ownership, by a national company: SunRV Resorts. Park is elevated, so looking out you can see the West Texas Hills. Has gravel parking spots, very good asphalt streets, trees, grass, wide spaces, strong WiFi, a very nice park. Many winter Texans and travel trailers so this park stays FULL. Staff is very nice. Best place to stay if you do not mind the distance to downtown. Nice pool and playground. It is very quiet, has a very nice rec hall and all is spotless and nicely maintained. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Located at Lake Travis near Lakeway with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. About 30 miles to downtown Austin via good roads, but LOTS of cars and residential traffic. Easy drive to UT where Lyndon Johnson Presidential Library is located. Check for road construction.

We spent 6 weeks in this park and it was a very pleasurable stay. Our site was spacious and quiet. The dog run is the largest we have ever seen (1 acre). There are numerous activities available at the park. This is near Lake Travis in the Hill Country. There is plenty of shopping within ten miles or so and Austin proper is about 30 minutes away. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

This a lovely resort, made for big rigs. Nice pool and clubhouse. A mix of travellers and winter Texans. Everything was well maintained. The sites are large but unfortunately ours was not level and our 38 footer had the front wheels off the ground. Others seemed to be okay. The resort is at least 30 minutes out of Austin, but there's plenty of shopping close by. We stayed for 2 nights. Satellite access is not an issue, and all services worked like they are supposed to. Nice touch is the ping-pong table and air-hockey game available to all on an outside deck next to the laundry. Surprising for a resort of this caliber, but no gate or security at the entrance. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

This is now owned by Sun Resorts so a corporate presence is now very evident. We have come here for many years to stay several months each winter. However, it has become increasingly difficult to make reservations because of the increased number of cabins that have been added each year and consequently the number of rv sites has been reduced dramatically. There are also many more permanent residents who use up many spaces as well. Reservations for several months now need to be made at least 2 years in advance! Campground is clean; all services are now contracted out. Since managers only look after this resort there has been a loss of the personalized atmosphere that was so unique and special when owners were running the campground. No Christmas lights or decorations this year that were always done in the common areas of the campground. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Although this is a very clean and spacious park it is not worth $57 per night. I had meetings in Austin so we stayed a week. The sites are nearly all pull through, are wide and long enough for any rig. There is a picnic table and grass on each site.

However, there are really no other amenities. A small exercise area and a nice laundry (but at $2 per load). They have an activities room which I did not use; perhaps it has an appeal to some. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice commercial park with all the amenities. Only complaints are its 15 miles outside the city and is pricey. However, it is very clean, has excellent utilities and full hook-ups. Adequate space between sites with nice grass area in between. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
