Sites are very long, plenty of room for my 45' motor home and car. They are level, gravel pad; most are pull-through sites. Each site has a picnic table and grassy area. The campground is well maintained and the staff is very helpful, nice and friendly. The roads are nicely paved. My only comment would be I would love to have more space between sites but that is the case in most RV parks. This one is better than most. I will definitely stay here again, in fact we already reserved a month in October! We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
Eat BBQ at Rudy's on 620. Also delicious tacos at Torchy's also on 620. If you visit between April and November go see the flight of the bats at the Congress Ave. bridge at dusk.

First, the positive - the location. Now, the negatives: none of the sites are level. We moved once, but the second one wasn't any better than the first. We gave up and stayed in the second one and then discovered that there was no cable TV to the pedestal. There was a new cable hanging on the pedestal, but without a connection. I reported the problem to the registration clerk and nothing was done for the week we were there. Their attitude is take it or leave it. I wouldn't stay there again except the other RV parks in the area are even worse. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.Undo

Very nice park. Super helpful staff when we had a problem with our surge protector. They put in a new plug and a new breaker without complaint only to find out it was our surge protector that was the problem. A little pricey but good sites and pretty park. Our second time here and we will stay again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.Undo

Helpful staff. Many people winter here. Parks closer to City of Austin were all booked, so we were lucky to get in. However, I wouldn't necessarily agree with the 5 Star Resort slogan they self promote. Our "pond view" site was a fenced in ditch with an old cheap fence with aging signs. Sure, there's been a drought, but you would think they would mention the absence of water before or during check in. HUGE dog park a bonus, but as other reviewers noted, the gate lock is a cheap chain that can hit your pooch while you're trying to fasten or unfasten it with an eager pup by your side. Be careful. Electrical tape holding down power switch for hot tub. Many sights were not level, including ours. I spent as much effort setting up blocks in the gravel here as I have in state parks! Power and water worked great. Nice and quiet. Very relaxing, especially with the wonderfully "violent" hot tub. Best hot tub we've ever discovered (sans the power switch). Heated pools. Nice little work out room. Lots of shopping around including all the big box stores. Not too long of a drive to the city, but it started to get old after a few trips. If I wanted to stay for months, this would be ideal. But if we're fortunate enough to visit . the great city of Austin again, we will plan way in advance and stay in town. Price is about right for what you get. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice park. I'd probably rate it 3.5 out of 5 if I could. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
Got to go to Hopdaddy burgers when in town on S. Congress St. Line can be awful long, but it's worth the wait. We chose a weekday and arrived around 11 and were able to have our order placed within 30 minutes. Go at popular times and you'll wait at least an hour. Outside seating available for pooch.

Very well done resort. Lots of winter Texans and the sites are level and are of high quality construction. Saw some weeds at places. Overall, very satisfied and will stay again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.Undo

Great park. We had reserved a back-in site but it had low-hanging branches that would have scraped our roof. The staff moved us to a pull-through site at no extra charge. They also accommodated a departure delay. The park uses TengoInternet and staff said the equipment had all recently been upgraded. Also said most residents are long-term and are using cable Internet rather than Wi-Fi. Nevertheless the Wi-Fi service was useless for most of our stay. Even at 5 AM Tengo Wi-Fi performance was substandard. If Wi-Fi was good I would have given the resort a 10. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Rate is based on monthly. Add for electric. Good how up. Got own WiFi. Paved roads. Site concrete pads with grass between. Friendly staff. Some activities. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.
Eat at Franklin BBQ worth the wait. Drive to other areas in Hill Country.

Overpriced. Rate shown is with Good Sam discount. Many long term people here. Clean park, nice buildings, but one site next to me had an older Class C with junk piled around it. Water hookup leaked. Location of park not easy to reach. Probably will not stay here again. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is a big park with a lot of "seasonal" residents settled in. A very neat and tidy park. FYI- park is in Lakeway, TX- 25 mins. from downtown Austin. However, they are both in Travis County. Randall's grocery store is Safeway, a 10 min. drive. We had power issues our first day- but was able to resolve them and it didn't happen again. The nice maintenance man suggested that we not run multiple things at once, but a park like this should be able to handle the ac and microwave at once!! Check in was quick and easy. The facilities were nice - pool never crowded- they have an adult pool too! Verizon 4G good. Tengo was adequate. Laundry $2.00/Dryer $2.00- 45 mins. They also pick up your trash in the am. Never saw dumpsters. Dog area is huge but there is no lock on gate, just a cheap chain to thread through gate. This was our first visit to this campground. The staff was very friendly, check in was easy, and we were escorted to our site. The site was able to accommodate our 43 ft. with no problems. The site was clean and spacious. The other campers were friendly and the campground was well maintained. Our only complaint was that the bikers were quite noisy and seemed to come and go at all hours, even very late in the night. We will return to this campground when we are in the area again. It doesn't get much better than this. Sites are large, with grass and patios. They could be more level, but I did not have a problem getting level. Office staff was nice and helpful. Nice facilities in general, and good, wide roads. Cable TV much better than typical CG cable. Did not try the Wifi. If the price was lower (mine was the daily Good Sam), it might be a 10. Very good Verizon voice and data service here. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.Undo

Stayed for 3 nites in late April. Called and got reservations for a pull thru site on a weekend. Utilities were good and all worked fine. Site was gravel but needed one block to make trailer level. Rate was $51 after Good Sam discount. Location is close to Lake Travis and nearby attractions but narrow curvy roads are common in the area. Check your GPS directions before driving to it to make sure you don't route yourself on difficult to drive roads. Quiet at night. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Not our favorite type of park, but on a holiday weekend we were very happy for a nice site and friendly welcome. We were parked amidst a Prevost/Harley rally. It truly is a destination resort where everything works great and everything you could want is available, except water in the pond! Highway construction back into Austin to visit the LBJ library was too complicated and long for us to tackle. Local knowledge from the RV park was needed to get to the LBJ ranch. This is a well-run, attractive, upscale park. It is the second time we have stayed here. This time we got one of the pull-in sites to the left of the office. They are exceeding long and wide and would normally have a view of the putting green and pond, except that the drought has turned the pond into a quarry. My biggest complaint about the park is that there was some kind of festival/activity going on the weekend we stayed there and music was played at high volume the entire weekend. At 10:30 at night it was still going strong. It's not that the choice of music was so unpleasant but I would complained if my site neighbors played loud music for this long. Why is it any better if the park management plays it? If our site had been even closer to the music I would have lost my mind. Other than this the park deserves a "10". This is a big beautiful park with lots of amenities and an active "winter Texan" group. Management should pay a little more attention to grounds maintenance. Some sites have weeds that are over a foot tall. Their propane dealer needs to be more timely when delivering propane. It was cold this winter and several campers ran out of propane due to failure to deliver propane when promised. Management needs to stay on top of this.
