This is about the best RV park in and around Austin. Well manicured, everything is kept clean. Showers are my favorite of any RV park. Like being in a hotel. Really large, private and plenty of space. We've stayed here numerous times, but I haven't reviewed it in a few years. This place is almost a 10, almost. New management since last time I was here. It's now managed by Roberts Resorts. The online map site numbers are incorrect.

Pros: Close to Austin, Wifi strong, Secure, all amenities are kept up, Management is friendly, They sell bags of Ice, Level sites, lots of shade. Cons: The pool...It is beautiful, clear, clean, secure and super-heated. I measured the temperature at 101 degrees. There is a hot tub above the pool with water cascading into the pool. They told us due to the size of the pool it just gets hot during the day. Wrong. We have a pool and hot tub at our house. I've been to Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and live in Texas...the pool they have here is heated. Almost no one used it the entire time we were there. maybe that's what they want. It was a bit of a disappointment. The pool was unusable. Lastly gas grill needs an upgrade, it needs to be trashed and replaced with a something that is not rusted out. Lastly the cable system. Yes the cable is free, but you have to hook up one of their cable boxes, it is free to use, but a bit of a hassle I thought.

Really those cons are small, I rarely use the Gas grills at RV parks but they told us they had one to use, it was dangerous to use. If I was planning on using the a pool in the summer I would not come here. But if a pool doesn't matter to you this place can't be beat. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Planning on visiting Austin, easy trip into Austin. I don't know about traveling into Austin if you don't have your own ride. I guess taxis would come out, but seems like it would be expensive. Close to lots of eclectic restaurants.

Park is very clean. Transients park on very long and level concrete pads. Trash is picked up each morning at your site. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi is excellent. Park is very convenient to downtown Austin. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Location to Down-Town Austin, University of Texas and their sporting events/buildings are very good. Improvements to the Campground facility itself is being made, I hear new management (?). We did not venture off beyond our campsite, the restroom/shower facilities, office and dog park, therefore I cannot comment on the alleged abundance of full-timers. I will say that this park provided everything we needed and wanted, full hookups, and clean facilities. If our next trip to Austin is based upon University of Texas sports and/or Austin Arts and Entertainment, this will be our first call. Only downside was that it is close to Manor, and not the best side of town. The closest grocery store is a HEB. It should have everything that you would need produce and grocery wise, flip-side is that it is located in a rough side of town. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is o.k. if you need access to town district of Austin, located east of 35 & west of the tollway. Concrete pads are very narrow & ours was sloped at the nose. Needed to wash coach & tow, but be aware that Austin is big on water conservation, & could not wash coach. Wifi was adequate & trash pickup was daily. Might stay here again. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for three nights. It was an OK experience. The sites are long but very narrow. A little tight for a bug rig. The facilities are very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and used the laundry. All nice. It would have been nice if the concrete sites were wider. Our step went out to the dirt. That made a mess. Some sites have grass. Ours as not so much. We'd stay here again but, don't get too excited about it. Big rigs are OK. You might need to cut a corner short. Their streets are way too narrow. But we are about 70 ft.

FYI. The place is primarily full time rentals. But they have done a nice job of separating us from them. If you walk back into the full time area it it absolutely disgusting. But you do t need to do that. Up front is very nice.

Don't hesitate visiting Austin from this park. It's an alright place to stay. And Uber is there now! We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for location, cable TV didn't work, WiFi was the worst of any RV park we have stayed in-basically non exists. New owners, lots of old RVs in monthly sites, people walking thru sites not theirs. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here just for a few nights to attend a wedding in Austin. It was a quiet park and the spaces weren't slammed on top of each other. There are three separate dog run areas. Wide open entry to the park but it was a bit tight getting into the pull through sites in the front with our 40' MH and toad. Verizon and ATT are good here. All power pedestals were lit (nice touch) and some sites had clear satellite reception.

We did not use the pool, bathrooms or showers. Trash is picked up each morning by putting the bag at the end of your spot. That was nice. We will stay here again when coming to Austin. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Under new management but park continues to be one of the two or three parks that are above average for the Austin area. They will be expanding and adding more sites in the future. One negative is you apparently need an HD cable box to operate your TVs on their cable system now. Check in with office before it closes during the week and see if you need one. Office closed over long 4th weekend. Other than that it's all good. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful park, since we didn't use the fitness equipment nor the laundry I can't say anything about them. The streets were all paved, pad was concrete, the landscaping was nice & the surrounding area was beautiful to look at. You can put your trash out in the morning & it will be picked up for you. We only stayed one night & would definitely stay here again. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent a month here in a 5th wheel. Park is in a good proximity to explore the city of Austin. The park is part full-time population with some questionable RV's (i.e. old) and traveling RV'ers. The so-called fitness room was a joke as none of the equipment worked and the carpet was torn up. The park has a nice library of books for swapping which was nice. There were no planned activities. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of places to explore in Austin. A negative is the traffic around Austin and the need to always get on an expressway to get anywhere. Our lot could have been cleaned of leaves prior to arrival since it added to a messy site upon arrival.

Good Sam rate. Fairly clean, moderately quiet, reasonable paved if not roomy spots, overpriced for what it is. Mostly long-termers with a 20-some daily/weekly spots. Owners seem to be only grudgingly interested in short-term visitors. Internet varied between unreliable and nonexistent. Long drive to any shopping. No change available for the laundry. For a visitor in town on business there's nothing really wrong with this place, but there's nothing really right about it either. We'd stay here again, but only if we can't find a better place. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is Good Sam. Would have given an 8 but the laundry at the full-timer end of the park was unacceptable; three washers were broken and the one dryer used dried on hot even though the medium setting was selected. The doors on that laundry and adjacent bathroom were not latched, preventing the security implied by having a lock code. Also, the two aerobic machines in the advertised fitness room did not function. The three fenced dog runs were great and there was plenty of space and grass for do walking. The quiet setting under oak trees was pleasant. The small pool, spa and grounds were immaculate and the utilities were functional. The staff was friendly and helpful. Long pull-through concrete sites and paved roads. Would stay again. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wife and I stayed 6 nights while helping move daughter and family to Austin. This park was closest to new address and filled every need. It is very clean and quiet considering the convenient location. Pool even has handicapped assist chair for entering and exiting the pool. Very good dog place if you travel with one. Concrete drives and pads, shade and just a good place to stay. Check their schedule for "events" that could fill the park. Will be back. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I was not overly impressed with this park. It wasn't bad, it just was nothing special. We also had the worst site in the park, site #9. It is at the end of a row, which is usually better. However site 9 is flipped and puts you face to face with your neighbor. The site is also pie shaped, so our entry door was about 4' from the giant race trailer in the next spot. We were pretty happy when we came home the 2nd day of our stay to find that the trailer had left. So what showed up later that afternoon? Yep, another giant race trailer. In spite of several other empty sites, the office saw fit to put it next to us. We won't stay here again. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good convenient park when we visit our son, daughter, and friends in Austin. Managers are 5 star and park well kept. Utilities placed in sites correctly and work properly. Long pull thrus so big rigs have no problems. One item to mention is the park has dropped Passport America affiliation but has several other programs and discounts available. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
