This should be a great place, based on its construction but, grounds keeping is poor, rules are many, staff is uninformed, lazy, remote and less than friendly. The short term site are long, beautiful, paved pull thru. Hook ups work well. There is a very large section of long term residents, separate from the short term sites. A huge addition to the short term section is being constructed. There is a nice pool, but no playground. We saw no children. There were a number of high end rigs. This place could be amazing. But it needs to grow up. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly with concrete pads. Showers and laundry were good. Dog park was small but good for letting dog off lease. Small pool, small exercise room and book exchange was okay. Campground was good for walking with the dog. any activities were over for the season. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

70 percent seasonal campers. Small residential size pool, medium size hot tub. They are expanding the campground but the construction noise wasn't noticeable. Clean laundry $1.50 washer and dryer. Picnic table at our site was old and falling apart, others looked better. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a good stay at the park. Quiet at night. The park is currently expanding so during the day the construction machinery noise was noticeable. The concrete pad was narrow as others have noted. The park advertises free cable, but receiving cable stations requires using a cable box, which is free for the daily rate, but I was told that they didn't have any more cable boxes available and there were probably 6 empty daily rate sites available. We were able to receive several over-the-air TV channels. We camped here in our Motorhome. We will consider returning to this park. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We are a younger family with 2 kids ages 8 and 10 so it really wasn't the perfect campground for us. It is mostly for older folks. The location was ok to visit Austin, but definitely not ideal. The campground is very clean and easy to get to. Hot tub is nice. Highly recommended for older travelers. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice park on the east side of Austin. Easy in and out of the park with plenty of pull through sights with easy connections mid ship. No issues with power or water. The park was in the middle of landscaping/construction and equipment was in use during our visit. Nothing intrusive and noise did not start until 830 am. No noise noted through the night. No security gate noted. Park does not appear to be old and was fairly full during our January visit. I made the reservation the afternoon of the visit for that night with no issues encountered. I would return to this park again. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Austin has food, shopping and nightlife and known for being 'weird'. Which they appear to be proud of on their literature. Its a good city to investigate.

This is about the best RV park in and around Austin. Well manicured, everything is kept clean. Showers are my favorite of any RV park. Like being in a hotel. Really large, private and plenty of space. We've stayed here numerous times, but I haven't reviewed it in a few years. This place is almost a 10, almost. New management since last time I was here. It's now managed by Roberts Resorts. The online map site numbers are incorrect.

Pros: Close to Austin, Wifi strong, Secure, all amenities are kept up, Management is friendly, They sell bags of Ice, Level sites, lots of shade. Cons: The pool...It is beautiful, clear, clean, secure and super-heated. I measured the temperature at 101 degrees. There is a hot tub above the pool with water cascading into the pool. They told us due to the size of the pool it just gets hot during the day. Wrong. We have a pool and hot tub at our house. I've been to Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and live in Texas...the pool they have here is heated. Almost no one used it the entire time we were there. maybe that's what they want. It was a bit of a disappointment. The pool was unusable. Lastly gas grill needs an upgrade, it needs to be trashed and replaced with a something that is not rusted out. Lastly the cable system. Yes the cable is free, but you have to hook up one of their cable boxes, it is free to use, but a bit of a hassle I thought.

Really those cons are small, I rarely use the Gas grills at RV parks but they told us they had one to use, it was dangerous to use. If I was planning on using the a pool in the summer I would not come here. But if a pool doesn't matter to you this place can't be beat. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Planning on visiting Austin, easy trip into Austin. I don't know about traveling into Austin if you don't have your own ride. I guess taxis would come out, but seems like it would be expensive. Close to lots of eclectic restaurants.

Location to Down-Town Austin, University of Texas and their sporting events/buildings are very good. Improvements to the Campground facility itself is being made, I hear new management (?). We did not venture off beyond our campsite, the restroom/shower facilities, office and dog park, therefore I cannot comment on the alleged abundance of full-timers. I will say that this park provided everything we needed and wanted, full hookups, and clean facilities. If our next trip to Austin is based upon University of Texas sports and/or Austin Arts and Entertainment, this will be our first call. Only downside was that it is close to Manor, and not the best side of town. The closest grocery store is a HEB. It should have everything that you would need produce and grocery wise, flip-side is that it is located in a rough side of town. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is o.k. if you need access to town district of Austin, located east of 35 & west of the tollway. Concrete pads are very narrow & ours was sloped at the nose. Needed to wash coach & tow, but be aware that Austin is big on water conservation, & could not wash coach. Wifi was adequate & trash pickup was daily. Might stay here again. We stayed for three nights. It was an OK experience. The sites are long but very narrow. A little tight for a bug rig. The facilities are very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and used the laundry. All nice. It would have been nice if the concrete sites were wider. Our step went out to the dirt. That made a mess. Some sites have grass. Ours as not so much. We'd stay here again but, don't get too excited about it. Big rigs are OK. You might need to cut a corner short. Their streets are way too narrow. But we are about 70 ft.

FYI. The place is primarily full time rentals. But they have done a nice job of separating us from them. If you walk back into the full time area it it absolutely disgusting. But you do t need to do that. Up front is very nice.

Don't hesitate visiting Austin from this park. It's an alright place to stay. And Uber is there now! We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for location, cable TV didn't work, WiFi was the worst of any RV park we have stayed in-basically non exists. New owners, lots of old RVs in monthly sites, people walking thru sites not theirs. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here just for a few nights to attend a wedding in Austin. It was a quiet park and the spaces weren't slammed on top of each other. There are three separate dog run areas. Wide open entry to the park but it was a bit tight getting into the pull through sites in the front with our 40' MH and toad. Verizon and ATT are good here. All power pedestals were lit (nice touch) and some sites had clear satellite reception.

We did not use the pool, bathrooms or showers. Trash is picked up each morning by putting the bag at the end of your spot. That was nice. We will stay here again when coming to Austin. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Under new management but park continues to be one of the two or three parks that are above average for the Austin area. They will be expanding and adding more sites in the future. One negative is you apparently need an HD cable box to operate your TVs on their cable system now. Check in with office before it closes during the week and see if you need one. Office closed over long 4th weekend. Other than that it's all good. We camped at Oak Forest RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
