This park was nice, but the management is more concerned with controlling campers than running the park. Lots are extremely close together to the point you can hear others in their RVs if you are outside your rig. Entire park is nothing but gravel roads, sites, etc. Extremely dusty and God forbid it rains then it becomes a severe mud hole. Sites are all on an incline and it makes it very hard to level your RV. There is an extreme problem with dog poo not being picked up and the SNAKE problem is not good. There are lots of water snakes and copper heads around the common building, you have to be aware of this when you go down near the water area. Boat ramp is small and not much room to back into it. Issues are a big concern with water pressure; most times it's so low it makes taking a shower very difficult. Water lines break a lot which in turn causes water to be turned off to RVs for long periods of time without warning. Would not recommend this park due to its many issues. Gated, clean park; however, not for long term stays. Management is too concerned about running and controlling people and not managing the park. Women, beware. Manager does not interact very well with women, but does make a point to be overly friendly with gentlemen. My husband was uncomfortable and felt she got in his "bubble" a few too many times. We were planning on staying for up to a year or longer, but did not feel like we could handle all the gossip and "Peyton Place" behavior. You could never see or talk to the owner, management made sure of that. The RVs are very close together, and you could hear RV doors slaming open and shut at all hours. Very annoying. Boat dock very small and crowded. It was hard to relax, wondering what the manager would confront you about at any given time about the most trivial things. We saw her confront many of the residents about things that didn't concern her, and it caused a lot of strife and discomfort. It was told to every resident, your "sh#!t" is on wheels, you can leave at any time if you don't like the rules, etc. The water pressure is horrible most of the time. The laundry room is very nice but never hot water and they don't get the clothes very clean because of the pressure. I have been to several RV parks, and management has never been as unprofessional as I have seen here. Drinking too much, talking about other residents to residents, and allowing her employees to drink while on the job were just several things we saw during our visit. And if you do express a concern, she will only turn things around on you and find reasons to get you to just learn to say nothing. Just not a peaceful environment. Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $15.00
The Boat ramp makes the stay worth the hassle. The owner has very little to do with the park and the management has changed hands since our stay. The park is good for an overnight stay or even a weekend stay however long term stays beware. Nicely put, the management is too involved in everyones lives and they leave little room for a quiet private stay. There is no swimming allowed from the boat ramps and they charge to store your boat.
