Good spot for an overnight. Park is gravel but smooth and level. Electrical power is good. Not fancy but more than adequate for a place to put your head down. I would stay here again. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Balmorhea is nearby. Very neat spring fed swimming hole. VERY cold!

Park is next to a Valero station and a pretty darn good cafe. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings. As good a burger as I've had for a while.

Traveling from San Antonio to AZ & needed a 1 night stop. This was perfect. They have plenty of sites in January with full hook-ups and close to Interstate 10 but the road noise is not too bad. Exit 212 and look for the Valero service station - RV park is behind. Park was clean & site level with stone. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Got fuel at Valero station saw the park and decided my day was done. Lots of newer spaces in back with new hookups, just drive thru dirt gravel spots. Nothing fancy here , but $20 gets you full hookups. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

No frills campground--no bathhouse, no showers, no laundry, no cable, no wifi, no picnic table--but you do have a pull through and full hookups with easy access to I-10. Two to three dots on Verizon LTE. Satellite reception excellent. If you're looking for a one-night stay, not a bad deal for $20. Self-serve registration at Site #16--cash or check left in the drop box. Located behind the Volara gas station and a small bar/grill. Long, level, gravel sites with convenient hookups. The front part of the park had some desert landscaping and most of the sites were occupied (longer-term?). We opted for the newer section of the park toward the back with only a handful of rigs. Hookups looked new, and a very small tree/bush had been planted at each site. One bonus for your stay -- killer sunsets with the mountain range as a backdrop. Felt safe staying here. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are over 30 spaces here. Super convenient to Interstate 10. All spaces are pull thru. Full hookups. Some lots have trees if you want them. Many don't. We were directed to space 16 together pay for our spot. Park is on the south side of Interstate 10 and is just a few yards west of the gas station. Super easy pull thru. Do not see any TV hookup. Zero local channels. Worth driving west past Fort Stockton to save money. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is an older section in front with smaller spaces and cactus landscaping between. We stayed in the new, back section, which is basically a gravel parking lot with large, long spaces, with full hook-ups, including 50amp, that allow for an easy in-transit overnight along I-10 in west Texas. The only other services at this exit are a Vallero station with separate truck pumps, and local bar/steak place which we did not try. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have the time to stop for a few days in this area I would suggest you drive off the interstate a bit further and stay at one of the two state parks in the area. As a convenient safe overnight in transit this is a solid choice.

We spent two nights here. It is just a bare bones park, no frills, but it was reasonable and fine for our needs while we visited Balmorhea State Park. I enjoyed the bunnies and saw a line of quail run across the street, which absolutely delighted me. Easy on and off the highway. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy on-and-off, wide access roads, and the site was extra-long and level with no trouble reaching the utilities, all of which worked without issues. About half the sites seem to be occupied by month-or-more residents, but all are tidy. There was too much firepit rubbish and evidence of oblivious smokers and dog owners to call it clean, but we found it unoffensive. In fact, if you appreciate high desert scenery, this is a rather pretty park, with mountain views, and at every site, a tidy rock-lined landscaped area with cactus, brush and a 15' to 25' scrub tree, as well as either a firepit or barbeque grill. (Whoever decided to paint bright yellow smiley faces on the prickly pears, though, was just trying way too hard!)

Park management is a bit loosey-goosey -- we called to confirm availability and the man who answered said, "Plenty of room, come on in." When we arrived three hours later, the woman at the counter said, sorry, they were full. On protesting that we had called earlier (though we never left a name), she said, "Oh, you called? Then one of the two empties must be yours." Collected our money, had us sign next to the date in a looseleaf notebook, told us to take our pick of empty sites, and that was it. In the park, we found four empty sites ... and the other three stayed empty all night. Glad we spoke up or we'd have been sent on down the road. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park IS the one at the I-10 Travel Stop, despite another listing under that name for Balmorhea.

Easy to get to off I-10. Nothing fancy but we didn't have to unhook for one night's stay. Most sites appear to have full time residents. Find an empty spot and that's where you stay. It appears they are trying to make some improvements with landscaping. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

A good place to stay overnight or even for a day or two. The rate is the PP rate. Hookups are easy to get to, and all work OK. These are pull through sites, so no need to unhook. Each site is attractively landscaped. We would certainly stay here again when crossing Texas --- good price, easy-in easy-out. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Passport America - can't beat the price for a nice long site with nice landscaping between sites. Plenty of room to maneuver. No #s on sites - make reservation that day and they put a cone out - pick out a site with a cone on it! No cable TV, antenna reception or wifi but for $10 who cares! Full store - a little pricey. There was a small bar - stopped in for a few minutes. Mainly caters to oil field workers. Would stay again for overnight. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Find this accidentally. Recently opened RV park. Many in Fort Stockton are full due to oil workers. Good place for passing through. Price based on Passport America. Would stay here again. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our rate was PA. This is a basic park for an overnight stay, right off the highway. There are no restrooms except off the restaurant in the convenience store. The lots have been landscaped and the park is clean. It was a good value. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Price quoted is Passport America price. Good for an overnighter only. Has some full timers that have make their sites look nice. Sites have small trees, but no shade. Prices in small store are very expensive. $5.19 for a half gallon of milk. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
