Apr 2012 - $25.00
We drove through this park on a Saturday. There is another comment that they can accommodate a 40 ft rig. We never saw one that could accommodate anything larger than a 30 ft trailer if that. Although the price is good for the area, I cannot recommend this park unless you are ready for many people, lots of noise and very crowded conditions. We would not consider returning to this park. It is also quite a distance outside the main part of the city and not really handy for doing the tourist thing. - TravelingAdams
Mar 2012 - $25.00
Nice, trees, grass with paved sites, but old. No pull throughs. Rate was for a lakefront site, non-lakefront (50 feet from the lake) was $20. Plus there is a $5 vehicle fee. TV reception was excellent. No Wi-Fi but our Verizon cell and broadband worked well. Quiet except for the invasion of boats Sat AM. We didn't stay on Sunday. Park gates close and are locked from 10PM to 7AM so don't plan on staying outside the park too late,or getting an early start! Twenty minutes or so to central Austin. We will return to take in more of what Austin has to offer. - rncordy
Nov 2009 - $15.00
Great City park with 20 RV sites with water & 50/30/15 amp pedestals, and another 46 tent sites. Roads & Parking Spots are asphalt. Parking Spots are wide, but not real long. All are back-in. Tight Roads, but do-able. Entrance road has lots of hills and curves and is 2-lane. Roads could use some maintenance. Our site was right on the water at Lake Austin. We like staying there, just wish it was easier to get into. All sites are first come, first serve and there is an extra vehicle charge, $5 M-T, $8 F-S & Holidays. Get in mid-week & you should not have a problem getting a site. Check the sites before you pay to be sure you can fit if you are in a diesel pusher. - JIMNJAN

I was here to attend an airshow event and had to park in an overflow area for two reasons. One is that the CG is completely full of permanents and the other is that sites are open only to active duty National Guard members. Retirees are not permitted. Even if that were the case, the park would not be on my list of acceptable campgrounds. There is only one authorized entrance to the military base and it is some distance from the campground. Most of the sites are for smaller RVs (30 ft or less) and many are un-level. It is more or less a sardine can with little room to maneuver into the sites. They do have full hook-ups and some shade. I did not see a bathhouse. Check in is at the lodging office and that is not well marked, which makes it difficult to find. Normal rates is shown, but overflow is free. - RLM

This RV park on the south side of the river is very handy to touring downtown Austin and has easy access to the river trails. We like to walk and were able to access many places on foot. The park itself was tough to get to in our 40' motorhome towing a full-sized pickup. Although we had a decent pull through space we could not negotiate the turn into the site without unhooking. The aisle to our site was overhung with a very low power line, which had to be lifted (by the very helpful park manager) so that we could pass! - JanW
Jul 2017 - $45.00
Within minutes of pulling in, we were invited by a neighbor to a cook out. That is how friendly folks are in the older, quirky campground. Campers reserve months in advance for the few spots open to short term visitors, but we lucked into a gap of a few days when one site was open. Don't expect an RV resort. This is a crowded, older, delightful campground right in the thick of where the action is. They only take cash or checks. - ShoreXplorers
Mar 2017 - $39.00
The park is cramped but you can't beat the location. It is stressful to get to driving through city traffic and maneuvering within the park takes some planning. We had a little shade. Many of the other campers were permanent but very friendly. Expect street noise, trains, and music from nearby restaurants in exchange for being able to walk or take a bus to parks, trails, museums, and downtown. - Hikers

The management was nice and helpful and the guy that led us to the site gave a lot of helpful details. Sites are good size and well maintained. I-35 can be noisy so best to request a site further back from the road. Cable is not available but the local broadcast stations pick up well. Some sites have large hedges on the left and your left slide may butt up against the hedge so be sure and remove any items from the bins before opening it. - James C
Feb 2018 - $33.00
Very good. Rate is based on weekly rate. Only complaint is: they should have an entry at the rear of the park. I-35 and service road, main entry, traffic is horrible. Going to the store, which is very close, is a challenge - dlfishing
Feb 2018 - $27.00
Nice RV park. Nice and polite people in the office. 24/7 protection and entrance gate. To get their wifi you have to answer a lot of private questions. Day and night traffic from the main road. We will not stay here for the second time. - Obcy

Jul 2008 - $37.00
We stayed in the gated area of the park and inn for two days. Our slot was by the small laundry. Sites were nice with trees and grass. The lake is close by. Folks were friendly, and my site was a back in site, and the staff was very helpful getting it safely docked. The rating reflects that while the campground is nice, it is expensive for the services delivered. Cautions: There are no circuit breakers on the power dock. Note there is no store, restroom/shower facilities, or propane, and the cost is higher than we are used to. This is a mixed community of long and short termer's. - RealMcCoys
Feb 2008 - $37.00
We stayed here for 2 months. CG managers on site and helpful. Very scenic hill country area of suburban Austin and convenient to Downtown (20 min.) Some good wide and deep shaded sites and others are little tighter, but most are excellent. Paved CG roads, and good grass areas at sites. Lots of full timers here with dogs, whose owners do not clean up after. We have large dog and scoop every time. Other extended stay owners don't seem to abide by same rules which were stressed to us at sign up. Wi-Fi reception is OK depend on location and tree cover. No LP gas available at CG. In motorhome have to disconnect and travel 7 miles to get, very inconvenient. No CG store and need to travel only 1/2 mi. to store. Laundry clean and newer units, 3 wash and 3 dryers. No other amenities at CG, but would camp/stay again. - wldbysmx
Jan 2008 - $30.00
Very nice spot with great staff. Though it doesn't have public bathroom, shower, store, & propane gas. It's got large grass area and trees. Close to downtown Austin. The foggy morning in this park is breathtaking. The fogs are so thick and you find your own RV yet, it is so beautiful. We will definitely come back. - airstreamnyc

Aug 2017 - $30.00
One of the best rv parks we've stayed yet. Clean and quiet. Wifi was outstanding. The laundry was immaculate and, although we never investigated, I'm sure the showers were as well. Only thing missing was a dog run. Most sites are occupied by permanent or seasonal, but not ratty like trailer park residents. Owners aren't there much, but they bend over backward to take care of you. If we ever have a reason to return to Austin, this place will be at the top of the list. - CCandtheLADY
Nov 2016 - $35.00
Great people giving you that special Texas feeling of hospitality. It's really convenient to all kinds of places near and around Austin. Quiet, with a country feeling. Only complaint would be the Internet could be stronger, but otherwise we love it. - traveling bug
Sep 2016 - $31.00
This is a solid RV park with a few drawbacks. Turning in off the Hamilton Pool Rd is a little tricky simply because the traffic is fairly heavy. I would recommend better visibility for their signing. Our site was a bit uneven, causing one of our front wheels to be off the ground. Not a serious problem for a 3 day stay. The restroom/shower is clean and okay but not handicapped equipped. There are several tighter turns, got half way a turn and had to stop and unhook our toad.
One of the other reviewers mentioned the host - he is a real bright spot for any RVer. Accommodating and eager to help in anyway he could. - bigben

Apr 2018 - $50.00
Simply the most modern, prettiest RV camping in the Austin area, and priced accordingly. Staff is professional and friendly enough. Sites are immaculate gravel bordered by concrete with concrete patios, and are mostly level side-to-side, though some slope fore-aft. The pool and spa are beautifully maintained. WiFi is among the best I've experienced, with lots of access points so the signal is strong almost everywhere, and well able to handle all the connections, though at night it slows down as usage skyrockets. I'm in Austin several times a year on business, and this has become my go-to park. It's about 20 miles to the University area, which takes anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. There are places more convenient to downtown, the race track, and the rodeo for events, but for business travel this one works. - telecommuting camper
Apr 2018 - $60.00
We spent four nights at La Hacienda and really enjoyed our stay. Park is beautiful and well cared for. Staff was very helpful and eager to please. We will return here again and would recommend to anyone looking to visit beautiful Austin TX. - Two Jayhawks
Mar 2018 - $61.00
We have stayed here for six winter seasons This park in the last two years has deteriorated from a five star campground to maybe two stars at best. the lawn is not mowed regularly. The staff is not required to maintain their site. C24 is the worst in the park. When a resident complained about this site, she was personally attacked by the manager. The rates have been raised regularly but with no improvement in amenities or services. The heat failed at the pool and was not repaired for weeks. They were simply shut it down. The staff is poorly trained. If we did not have many friends here, we would be long gone. - kaptunkk

Feb 2017 - $20.00
We have been extremely disappointed in this park. We were told our payment was lost, although the check had been cashed. Our power pole was in such terrible shape that it ruined both our plug and power converter. The property managers are unfriendly and very hard to get hold of. Many residents have dirty, junk filled sites. - Airstream in Austin
Apr 2012 - $26.00
This is an old park with lots of permanent residents. However, we found that all the facilities worked, the families there were quiet and pleasant to be around. Lots of children, but very well controlled. Laundry room was large, clean and well equipped. Price was excellent for the area. Our Verizon worked well here, so we didn't use the WiFi. However, there is WiFi for free in the park if you can get it. We could not as we were in a back row. We paid for a week and the price reflects that. - TravelingAdams
Mar 2012 - $30.00
Turn around and run. Staff is jittery and the park is full of long term residents with little pride in their environment. Amenities are far from most sites and there is no common area. Scary chain link fence surrounds the property that is adjacent to the freeway. - AliRV
