Overall Rating:

Stayed one night. Easy access in and out next to SH 71 on Colorado River. Friendly staff. Park roads and sites paved with concrete patio area. Pull through sites are very long because they also accommodate two back to back RV's. As a pull-through there was more than enough room for our class c and vehicle. Our site was sunny; however, some sites have shade from decent sized trees. Grounds were clean, mowed and trimmed. Dog park was shady and grassy. Didn't use pool, showers, etc. since we stayed only one night. Wifi okay. Yes, there is highway noise because of it's location but very nice KOA close to many restaurants and shopping and fuel. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Rate was $46 per night with a 15% military discount which I think was to high as Rv park is located on south side ofTX-71 noise is very loud. Park is spotless very well groomed and owner at check in very nice . Sites all back ins so they gave us 2 sites over 100' so we did not need to unhook tow car. We were here for 1 night . Park mostly towable. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice park; close to highway 71. Some highway noise. The park is well kept. The owners are very friendly. The "pull thrus" are back to back. We were fortunate, no one was coming in the site directly behind us. Made parking our rig easier. We were able to park our vehicle directly behind our 5th wheel. All sites are paved as are interior roads. Wifi is poor. For our needs, we feel the rate we paid was too high. Even though this is a nice park, and the owners very friendly, we would not stay here again. We don't like having someone directly behind us without a road as a buffer. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nightly rate based on monthly rate. Very nice park by the Colorado river. Paved road and sites. Room for two vehicles to park. Owners are very nice and helpful and seem to be continually upgrading the park. Nice playground for kids and fenced area for dogs. Restrooms are very clean. The only negative is the highway noise. We plan on staying here again. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff, unfortunately the park is older. The sites are not level, there are thorns in the grass, and of course is next to a busy highway and train tracks. Definitely not worth the price and was disappointing as I have heard so many great things about KOAs. Also the trees need some trimming because they scrape up your rig, pulling into site. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a well maintained campground, with very friendly and helpful owners at check in. Interior roads and pads are paved and big rig access is fine. We had a long level and spacious pull through site with picnic table and barbecue and plenty of space for our towed. There is some grass between sites and some lovely shade trees. Highway 71/21 runs along one side of the campground, and it is noisy and not the best view to look at from your RV. Lovely pool with a splash pad. Bathrooms are spacious and spotless and the laundry room is clean and well equipped. Security gates and surveillance cameras add to a secure feeling. WiFi is fair. Pet friendly with a Kamp K9 and dog walk area, doggie bags and disposal station. Walmart and other large stores are in the area. We would stay here again, for us it was fine as a one night stopover, with easy access on and off the highway. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

I have only good things to say about this park. We loved being able to park on concrete pads and had a concrete patio. No mud to walk through. The park is imaculate, staff is very helpful and friendly. The only one thing is that the KOA sign is very small and easy to drive past. We give this park a thumbs up!!! Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do, excellent BBQ right next door at Billy's the outside doesn't look impressive but it's excellent. Great BBQ all over the area. Austin is a short drive and a must visit place. Go floating down the river on tubes and enjoy the day.

Appealing features include spacious pull-thru parking, location on upper bank of Colorado River with extended wood deck view, and friendly check in reception. I would stay again . Millenicom hotspot (Verizon) had poor reception; however, the site's free internet provided worked well. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Rate includes KOA discount. Super clean, nice people, easy on/off the highway, convenient. Stayed one night, long enough to relax in the pool and do laundry. Yes, there was highway noise but the convenience was worth it. Paved roads, concrete sites - long and level - grass between sites, short walking trail to the Colorado River. Sprint cell worked well, clear satellite signal. Big rig friendly. Entrance is in the front, exit is out the back into a residential neighborhood. Follow the sign posted at the exit. It says no waterfront sites but tents can camp very close to the Colorado River. Would camp here again. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Rate was military rate. Super clean, grass cut, paved spacious sites, scattered trees and very friendly staff. Park is parallel to Interstate 71, so some may be bothered by the traffic noise, but it did not bother us. We were in a almost perfect level site at ten pull through near the park down by the river. We were the only motorhome, all others in the 1/3 or less occupants were 5th wheels, campers, airstreams, etc. We were here for one night on way to Lake Buchanan...quaint historical town with many old buildings and cute shops. This RV park is very close to HEB and Walmart, plus restaurants. It is a stop over. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. We had a site right down on the river, which was nice; deer out grazing in early morning right in front of us. We had our back to the highway, which probably helped, but the highway noise did not bother us. No trash pickup at site, and we only saw one dumpster. We had a minor medical emergency, and there is an excellent 24/7 facility about a mile down the road; it is a branch of St. David's Hospital of Austin. The entrance comes up quickly; if you miss it, you have to go under the highway and make a u-turn through a couple of lights. That was the way we left the park. If you take the exit (which is on a different side from the entrance), to travel east, you have a pretty good slope to go over. After looking at it, we were concerned that we might drag, so we opted to take the first right turn, instead of the second as we left the park, and make the u turn, going around to miss that bump. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. We often are willing to pay the price for a KOA when we know the quality we are getting. The owners were extra friendly, and the landscaping staff was constantly at work, even in the extreme heat. The restrooms, showers and laundry room were spotless. The deck next to the river was lovely. It is very near stores and restaurants. We will return. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a well-kept park with small shade trees on some sites. You can walk to the end of the park to sit at the river's edge. Wal-Mart, Starbucks, HEB and many stores and food opportunities are within walking distance. Main Street (about a 1 mile walk) to downtown Bastrop offers numerous dining opportunities (try Maxine's for local flair and Ramos for the best frozen margarita). The only negative about this park is the constant road noise as the park is located under the Route 71 bridge. We camped at Bastrop / SE Austin / Colorado River KOA in a Motorhome.
