This is not our first stay in this park, since January of this year the RV park has changed ownership. The new owner opened up several over night spots throughout the park that are only feet from the other resident's front doors making it quite cramped and uncomfortable at times. This RV park stayed full to capacity with every spot filled, however the dumpsters were not emptied more than once a week leaving trash on the ground surrounding them. The smell from the dumpster nearby was horrible and it was brought to my attention that the owner of the taxidermy next door had placed several bags inside! Parking was also an issue due to very limited space. We did not enjoy our stay to say the least. We camped at Lost River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $25.00
Good place to stop. Easy access, plenty of room to maneuver, concrete pads, real nice people. Verizon broadband and cell service was fine. Everything is new and it all works. We camped at Lost River RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: December, 2006 - $25.00
Not a bad park. We stopped here on a whim, needing a stop-over. The park is fairly new (less than 2 years old). A retired husband/wife own the park and are still developing it. The front is finished with gravel drives and concrete pads. They are adding new sites to the rear of the property. Everything worked well for us, and it was very easy access (just seconds off I-10 and plenty of turning room). The negatives are that the park is just seconds off of I-10, so there is a bit of road noise. The owner was very friendly, but I did have to call him on his cell to get him to come to the office, because he was back working on the property. Not really a big deal though. There are no children's facilities (at least not yet), but the owners didn't seem to be against children. This park has plenty of potential and should definitely be considered for a brief stop-over. Their address and contact information is given below, since they do not have a website: Lost River RV Park 8407 N. FM 565 Rd. (I-10 Exit 803) Baytown, TX 77520 281-576-2617. We camped at Lost River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
