The park is okay. The sites are kind of tight. Very little room between sites other than the patios. It has a playground near the office and the pool and exercise room are there as well. A free breakfast is offered which is a nice touch. The WiFi is adequate but the cable was the worst we have seen. Every channel was snowy and there was only 14 channels. The over the air stations were crystal clear and almost as many but not the same ones. There wasn't much help from the office to fix the problem either.
We probably wouldn't stay again. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Big Thicket National Preserve is about 45 minutes away and is great for hiking.

This park is no longer affiliated with Passport America. The sites are all narrow concrete pads with a concrete patio and very long. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cable was not working at our site and there were deep holes next to the pad where a motorhome missed the pad. It made for a touchy walking situation and should be fixed. We reported both to the office. The campground has very easy access off and on I-10 and is satellite friendly. They also have a free breakfast every morning; not to write home about, but still filling. The campground has many permanent residents, with a few sites for travelers. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been coming here for over 4 years and the park keeps getting worse every year. The cable and Internet don't work. When you tell management about it the response you get is "we are working on it" Nothing is getting fixed and probably never will. They say they have an exercise room. Really nothing works! They are going up on rent. Not worth it for what you get. The management is lazy. This year they have a bunch of workers in the park. The park looks dirty compared to last year. No place to park due to so many vehicles per spot. The workers park their vehicles in the road so makes it very difficult to get your rig in without pulling on grass. Way too many ruts in the grass. Not to mention employees not filling those ruts in. Really not pleased and probably will not return unless something gets done. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A pleasant surprise to pull into this park. The roads were all nice and smooth and the concrete pad was a bonus, nice and level. We were in a motorhome and towing so didn't use the sewer as our hose wasn't long enough. Satellite dish worked well as there were no trees. The private restrooms were a plus, and the free breakfast was nice. We spent one night here. Would definitely recommend it as a good place to stay. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a hard park to rate. The laundry ($1) is great, free breakfast, pool, exercise room, playground all are top notch. The staff is friendly, and the location is good. (if heading west use exit 847 as Garmin is wrong). The sites are concrete and level. My complaints is that I felt like we were in a parking lot. There's no trees; its just row after row of sites. There was enough room for slides on each side. It makes a great overnight stop or park to spend a couple days in while touring the area. Keep in mind there is no privacy. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take 10w to Winnie. Go south on 124 to the Gulf, then head east 28 miles to the free ferry that takes you to Galveston. Plan on 1 1/2 hour drive.

Easy access from I-10. Some train noise. Concrete sites are level but only as wide as an RV. Many long term residents. free breakfast and wifi. No trees. Good for an overnight stay. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Tyrrell Park and Cattail Marsh.

I will give it an 8 as an overnighter, but agree with previous comment that the park is not keeping up with the maintenance. Do to our size and request for pull through, we usually end up in the front area, but the areas out back are narrow due to vehicles in the road or extending outside the site area. The problem of long term guests is a problem that many previously nice parks have. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was a very good overnight stay for us. The concrete pull-throughs are level and clean. It's a very large park and right off I-10. The free breakfast is really good. You can't beat the value and we would stay again.

My only concern with the stay was that my voltmeter showed the AC power coming into the coach from the post to be on the high side of normal. Close to 126 volts and pegging the upper end of the "green" range. This was the first time I experienced something like this. It did not become a problem but worried me. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The facilities here are fine, and the location is convenient. But beyond that, there's really not a lot to commend this park: it's basically just a parking lot, right off of I-10 (and adjacent to another busy road), with all of the attendant road noise. The sites are narrow, and there's no landscaping, and the pads are only as wide as a motorhome, which means one steps down onto the grass (or, in our case, the mud). Our site didn't have a picnic table, but I doubt there would have been enough room to use one anyway. The sewer hookup is only a few inches away from the water hookup, and is recessed into the concrete so that a conventional right-angle sewer hose connector cannot make the connection. (I was able to jury rig a solution by using a tapered fitting into a rubber donut.) The cable TV offering is only about a dozen channels, and in fact not nearly as good as the OTA broadcast alternative. The clientele seemed to be mostly seasonal/long-term types, which is fine, but which definitely gives the facility a lived-in look. I would stay here again if I needed a place for an overnight stop, but otherwise it's just an average parking area. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites are concrete and level. Campground is well maintained except for two big potholes when we were there. Good access to sites. Hookups all work. Cable good. We rated it "7" because of noise. I-10 runs along one side, a TX highway runs along the other. A frequent train sounds like it runs through the park! Park has free breakfast each morning - waffles, bagels, sausage gravy, doughnuts, coffee, juice. Very nice. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent RV park. Easy pull through sites. The park is close to shopping areas. Your can choose to have breakfast in the club house or just coffee...no charge for either. There is a small library...take some/leave some books. The washing machines and dryers were very clean and each only cost $1.00. WIFI was good but forget about cable tv.

Everyone was very friendly. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The rate shown is Passport America. We stayed here for one night, and enjoyed our stay. The park is right off I-10.....easy off and on again. We had a long, level concrete pull-thru, right near the exit. The park is very clean and well-maintained. They serve a free breakfast each morning.....coffee, juice, cereal, waffles, bagels, biscuits and gravy. A very nice touch! The utilities worked well, and we had a clear shot of the sky for satellite. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.....highly recommend! Can not add anything about the good of this park. The desk person was cheerful and extremely helpful. We stayed here during a storm for 4 days. Could not ask more from a RV park to help or assist during this storm. The park was clean and the spaces were quite large. A past post indicated that the pool appeared "murky". During our visit the pool never looked "murky" and there were some children playing in the pool when it was not raining. Yes, you can hear the highway noise from the park, but I do not hold that as a negative against the park. This park is an easy on and off the interstate. I definitely would stay here again, when passing through the area. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not far from movie theater, shopping and several eating establishments.

Easy on and off I-10 just west of Beaumont. The well maintained and clean pool was refreshing. Concrete pad was level with great utility hook-ups. No shade or trees. Free breakfast was a plus. Would definitely stay again as we travel I-10. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful campground, clean and well groomed. Easy on and off. Paved roads and parking pads although the roads had some breaks and holes. Long pull throughs. But the hook-ups were at the back of the sites so we had to unhook our toad to prevent long sewer, water, and power runs. The paved patio and picnic table was at the front of the pad. All sites had grass although some were rather narrow. Nice store and pool. Free breakfast was coffee, juice, cereal, biscuits and gravy. Campground was between I-10 and a railroad track, but noise from the freeway was minimal and we only heard three trains in two days, all in the afternoon. Very pleasant and we would stay here again. Pleasant, helpful staff. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Near Beaumont and several very nice restaurants. Many things to do.
