This is a darling little park, very well kept, excellent for an overnight stay while traveling or even a few days. The utilities worked perfectly and there was grass in between the sites even though the pull through sites were close (most expect that anymore with pull throughs). The back-ins had more space between them, but look to be taken by longer term folks but didn't seem to deter from the park much at all. They have another section in the back across a little lake, but we did not venture back there to be able to comment on that section. My review is on the front section located near the office. Very easy access off of I-10, level spots and flat campground, easy for big units. The price was Passport America. Not a resort, but a very nice clean place to stop overnight. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A lot of long term campers here. Our space # 29 is a long pull through. I looked in the laundry and the prices are reasonable and the area clean. Good walking area around the park. There is also a lake to fish in or canoe on. The only negative was the train noise in the evening. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to the Spindletop Gladys City museum. Very interesting! This is a self guided tour but well signed. Several buildings to see the history of boomtown. Easy to find and the prices are very inexpensive. We are going to the Dutch windmill/ Tex Ritter museum tomorrow. A lot of museums downtown.

We enjoyed the smallness of the park but the sites were more than adequate for our 40 ft and tow Jeep. The staff were friendly and helpful with maps and info about shopping and restaurants. The sites are ashalt and a small patch of grass and our spot had a tree. We stayed here two nights but not much to do in Beaumont. The lake is nice and there are canoes if you want to use. But they were pretty dirty. The 3 restrooms include the shower and toilet. We didn't use them but they were very clean and well cared for. The laundry is nice which I did use. The picnic tables are metal and very nice. We'd definitely recommend. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate at Tia Juanitas and loved it. Good gumbo and delicious shrimp and grits. And of course fried catfish. Try the boudin balls!

Electric is good, but close to the ground. Water is 40psi but sustains about 30psi. Didn't use WiFi. Cellphone service is very good as well as data for Verizon and AT&T. Big cell tower beside park. Cable is viewable but grainy, 28 channels. Sites are in two areas. Front area is for smaller RVs and mainly back in. Back area is back in and pull thru. Sites are long enough to park Trailer and TV on site. Sites are spaced wide with grass and about 20ft to put out awning with no problem. Roads and sites are older asphalt. Road is bumpy but useable. Laundry is nice. Wash is $1.25 Dry $1.00 both run for 45 minutes. Restrooms are single user and very nice and clean. There are long term tenants most are well kept. DirecTV is easily accessible. Payment by credit card, cash or check. 50% discount for Passport America and Escapees. You can hear the highway traffic when outside but inside it is quite. Work campers in office were very nice. Nice pond on the back area. Canoes and a paddle boat area available if you want to use them. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Another way point campground on our journey west.

It is about a mile off of I-10, lots of good signage to lead you here.

A smaller campground, tucked back in what seems like nowhere. Very friendly staff upon arrival. Grounds in great shape. Paved roads and pads. Extremely clean bathroom/showers, there are 4 private bathrooms. And a clean affordable laundry room.

They also have a little reception area where you can work on a puzzle, have some coffee and or a complimentary little snack.

They have a private little lake that is fishable, you don't need a license.

Full hook ups, 30/50 amps, free cable and wifi. Good Verizon service here and good satellite reception. Sites each have a nice picnic table and there is more than adequate space between the sites.

It is close to the highway and to some railroad tracks. But you are not bothered by them. We only heard the train two times, late afternoon. They do not seem to travel on these tracks at night.

There seems to be quite a few things to do in the area, we are only here for a day, but looks to be enough to do to warrant a 3-4 day stay.

For discounts they recognize Escapees, Passport America, Good Sam, FMCO and also offer military discounts. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice little private RV park very near Interstate 10. Coffee pot was always on in the office/lounge area and the owner/managers were there to help. Four very clean bathrooms have toilet, sink and shower, and each has a stool and towel hooks. Laundry facility looked clean, but we didn't use. No pool or playground, but that suited us just fine. Our site had plenty of room. We would stay here again. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. Extremely clean rest rooms and laundry room. There are 4 individual, self contained rest rooms with shower, toilet and sink. Several hooks and a chair. The showers are strong and hot. The cleanest and nicest we've seen. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there is a tourist info bureau right down the street. About half the park appears to be permanent residents, but it is in a separate section and extremely well kept. The transient sites are average sized and we'll kept. We strongly recommend this park. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Big Thicket National Preserve is a great place to walk and is about 20 miles north. There is a 24 hour Walmart close by.

We have stayed in Beaumont several times and have never been disappointed. This time we decided to try one of the other parks and again, we were not disappointed. The same train that can cause trouble for RVers along the I-10 corridor is present here as well. The only thing lacked in this park is a swimming pool. Otherwise, the park is a nice one. We would definitely came here again. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Host came out and took us to our spot. He even took us into town to buy a new fuse for the tow car that we had misplaced. The park is quiet and very well maintained. Pet friendly (on leash). Nice landscaping. A lot of folks are there permanently but there were several empty spots. No shade to speak of but it was a good place for a night or two. I will stay there again. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We arrived late without a reservation. The park was nearly full, so we were given a spot on the "back 40", which we had to back in. The road to the site was narrow with very tight turns. Our guide was very patient and helped us navigate with no problem. The sites were paved, level, and with plenty of room for a parked car. All the hookups worked OK. We would stay here again. I give all the details about access to our site, because we stayed here a couple of years ago and i rated it a 10. Then (a couple of years ago) we called ahead, and had a pull-through site near the front of the park, which was easy to drive to, with no tight turns. So for a more pleasant stay, call ahead and get a pull-through site. Our rate of $17.50 was Passport America rate. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate of $17.50 is a PA rate. I liked this campground. It is in two sections, long term folks in the back and overnighters in front, with a lake in between. They have a guide to take you to your spot and help position you. The electric amps are good and water pressure is good. The spots are level, and are of adequate width. There was water standing on the site, especially around the electrical box. The showers and bathrooms are in individual rooms and are super clean and lockable, just like home. I would definitely stay here again. I stayed in a motorhome. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean park. We had a level pull-thru site. There are also back-in sites around the large fishing lake. Friendly staff. Good dog walking area around the canal. I would hesitate to call this park a "resort" since there's no pool, playground, dog park, etc., but its a nice park and we would probably stay here again. I should note that our rate was monthly, as we stayed three months. Hidden Lake is a very nice place. The personnel are very nice, helpful to a fault and go out of their way to be accommodating. The park provides very easy access to pull-thru sites although one or two of the back-ins looked a little narrow. That's a guess, because the back-in we had was just fine! The park doesn't cater to children in that there is no playground equipment or pool. Nevertheless, it is a great place to stay a day or a week or longer.
