I really like this park. I wouldn't call it a "resort", just a darn nice RV park. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back, and the park looks good. There are good views all around. Most of the park is long-term, but nothing junky. The transient sites are in the best section of the park, on top of the hill, where the pool and clubhouse are located. Sites vary quite a bit in length and width, so be sure to ask for what you need. Our pull-through was so long that I could have parked 2 cars in addition to the 40-foot MH. They all looked to be level and flat. Hookups worked fine, as did Verizon cell and internet. There are medium-size trees on most sites. We had some shade at one end and could still use satellite. There are some steep hills in the park, but nothing that was a problem. My only complaint about the park is the traffic noise from I-10, which is a very busy road. If I come back to this area, I will stay here again. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Boerne is a nice town. There is a great paved walking path that runs beside Cibolo Creek. For groceries there is a huge HEB store in town. We enjoyed The Dodging Duck restaurant on River Road, also the Drink Texas Biergarten, which had live entertainment all afternoon and evening Saturday. For a special occasion, if money is no object, try the Creek restaurant, very pricey but very good.

Located on the actual "top of the hill", this park is close enough to the metro area surrounding San Antonio to allow you to stay several days and see much of the Hill Country of Texas. A drawback would be the "climb" necessary to get to a campsite, but the amenities make it acceptable. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

So many places to see. Whether you plan several days in the area, or plan to return several times, you will want to take in all the Hill country has to offer. Shopping, antiques, music and dancing are all available. This was our second stay at Top Of The Hill.

We have stayed here before. Nice roomy sites, full hook up, 30/50 amp, some back in, some pull through, pool, laundry clubhouse. Close to Fredricksburg, Kerrville, San Antonio. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is right off the freeway so easy access but far enough to not have noise from the freeway. Nice views as it it high up on a hill. We were promised a long site with great view overlooking the hills but on arrival it had been given to another camper. We were put next to a maintenance building with no view. The site was level but very short for our 40 ft. rig. We told the office we were going to move on the next morning since we were not happy with our site. They refunded the next 2 nights we had prepaid for. There are a lot of full time RVs in the Park. They had a free breakfast on Saturday in the Rec Hall but we did not attend. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our family came in at the last minute and the staff was very friendly in assisting us to our site and getting us setup. We were able to fill our propane tanks on property which was a huge relief to us. Our site was very close to the "clubhouse" which was well kept with very clean restrooms and shower facilities. Our children were able to to take advantage of the swimming pool while we cooked dinner inside the clubhouse (Which has a full size kitchen with cookware!) Overall we were very happy with our stay and look forward to coming back next year. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Joshua Creek Park has hiking trails, nature area with fishing, and a large playground for all ages. Joshua Creek also has a dog park with agility course which is about 1 mile from the Top of the Hill RV Resort. The Random Beer Garden is kid friendly, lots of outdoor family activities, live music and events.

CG sits on top of a steep hill. The road are gravel as is the site. New clubhouse and very well stocked with activities. Very clean showers. Our site was near to the pool equipment which ran constantly. Staff was very polite and helpful. Lots of extended residents, but not junky. Just off I-10 near a good restaurant, Po-Po's. Will stay again. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We used to stop here at least once a year on our travels along I-10 to I-35 north and beyond and it was always well kept, the service used to be excellent and friendly, the views amazing and all of the amenities serviced and clean. Unfortunately, that is no more. We never thought of this place as a resort but 2 years ago it was a super nice RV park with pool, game room, workout room, full kitchen and large lounge area, banquet hall, clean and manicured sites that were in good working order, good wifi and the people who ran the place were as friendly as anyone in Texas has ever been. None of that is there now. Now, the people who are there are mean and can't be bothered! I don't think they have cleaned and serviced the sites since the last time we were there a little over a year ago (weeds everywhere and the electricity on the pedestal could not handle us and we only take 30 amps). When we arrived it was after hours so we went down to the office to check in the next day and the woman there was rude and obnoxious. Originally, we booked one week because we love the Boerne area, but with her attitude toward us we paid for the first night and left. Originally, she was going to charge us another night but we told her she'd better not or else. We were prepared to tell the credit card company that we deny all of the charges, even one night. Our site was at the top of the hill, whatever those site numbers are. My advice is to go to a different RV Park. The others are more costly and do not have the country ambiance but then, frankly, neither does this place anymore.

As I said, we would never stay here again. I am not sure what happened in the last two years but this place is terrible and we will never return. We suggest staying elsewhere. Very disappointed in the Top Of The Hill RV "Resort." We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Conveniently located off highway 10 just north of San Antonio just past the town. One big hill so carefull to have good power. Expensive for what it is. Easy pull thru, one way navigation thru the hills to get in and out. Must be difficult in cold, frozen weather with the hills. Friendly staff and conveniently located off 10 but we were stranded due to vehicle failure, would not recommend due to expense for value. Wifi only available in club house or near, Verizon good and local tv channels good. Wide open ski so good dish coverage. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, but not easy to get into. No room to pull over while registering. Very steep and curvy hill getting to the site. Friendly staff. Park was recently sold, so routine maintenance was not being done. Showers were in a fairly new building, but you had to walk through a rec room and kitchen area to get to them. Navigating when leaving the park was difficult, as there were curbs along each site and no way to get out of the site, unless you run over them. Will not return to this campground. This is no longer a Passport America nor a Good Sam Park. The best sites are actually on "top of the hill". If you do not get one of these sites, I would not stay, because the "second tier" sites are among the long term residents below the top. The campground is near the interstate, so there is considerable road noise. The roads and sites are gravel and mostly level. I had no trouble leveling my rig. The staff were quite friendly and will escort you to your site. This is an older park and needs some tender loving care; some of the resident sites need to be cleaned of litter. We stayed here in a 39 foot fifth wheel and probably would stay here again, but only overnight. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were extremely unlevel. Park was old but maintained. Water pump went out one afternoon and we were without water for several hours until a pumper could bring water in to the park. Caters mostly to permanent residents, but nicest area reserved for stays of two days or less. Would be ok for a 1 night stop, but wouldn't recommend a 2 week stay like we did. Park is located off of I-10 so has a combination of those staying for a couple of nights (quick stay) to those staying longer. They do take passport america for two nights.

Nice pull through sites at the top of the hill and when you check in, they take you to your site. Sites on the way up the hill (which we stayed a couple nights) were not as nice as those on the top. You do hear some highway noise, but not too bad.

Good location for checking out some of the Hill Country. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I agree with "Sally" about the laughable Premium sites. I thought ours was worse than most others - no shade, gravel, back-in instead of pull-through, and about 3 feet from our neighbors. It was OK for us since we spent most of our time away from the RV park and didn't use any of their amenities. The entire area was covered in sticker-burrs so watch out if you have a dog. Wi-Fi was non-existent and we were told by a nearby permanent resident that they advertise it but it had never worked in the many months he had lived there. Part of the low rating is because of the rude lady in the office, so others may have a different experience. We will never go back. We camped at Top of the Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
