This is an old run down RV park that is well past its prime. Owner was nice enough but place is not ready for customers. No bathrooms or showers, and old paved roads and parking spots. This park is adjacent to an abandoned truck stop of days gone by. This area my have thrived at one time but no longer. We almost left after paying but decided to stay and get some rest. We were the only ones there except for the owner. It had a rather rundown building that had "Coin Laundry" sign on it, but I wouldn't have tried to go in it. I assumed another relic from days gone by. In the end we got a nights sleep but I couldn't wait to get going the next morning. I would not recommend this place to anyone the way it is right now. Not blaming the owners, I assume they are trying to revive the place but it gives a very poor impression and we had little sense of safety or security. We found this place through Passport America. - ThinkingRedInk

Good place to stop for a night or two. Plenty of room for our 44 footer plus toad. Stayed another night on our way back from the rally we attended. - David and Debbie

With Passport America this was an awesome value-- $15! Very clean and we'd kept. Pretty quiet at night. Easy in and out. Pull thrus. - ronrhonda

Rate was with Passport America. Long level pull-thru. Site that we had did not have any trees and thus no leaves, hooray! Water, sewer and electric connections were nicely grouped and set up. Cable requires a cable box. We've done it before with a cable from the connection, through a partially open window to the cable box and a second cable from the cable box back out the window to the cable input on the coach. No bathrooms. Some road noise. Good wifi. Very easy in and out. Grass strip between sites. Wasn't muddy when it rained. - Markk

Small relatively new park with a lot of long-termers but places for travelers. Spacing was adequate and utilities are good. Our pull-thru site had a concrete pad but not all do. Did not use cable. Wi-fi was terrible. Half the time you can't get logged in, and when you do you are likely to get dumped off. Office is not manned full-time so no real help there. Not much to do in the area other than our geocaching hobby, the reason we stopped here for 3 days. The road in from Hwy 37 is very narrow and a bit rough. We left going the other way to Hwy 115 which was shorter and in better condition. Would use the park again at least for an overnight stop as it is reasonably close to the interstate. - Grumpier99

Still Meadow RV Park in Mt. Vernon, Texas. A few miles off the highway and next to a cemetery should make for a quite stay, and mostly it was. Only complaint in the number of diesel pickup trucks that drove through the park. The staff was friendly, the shower/restrooms appeared to be new and are large and very clean. Would stay again. - rwramsey

Free cable was terrible! Even with cable one channel was watchable! Disappointed in Laundry. Washers are old and don't fill to capacity. I selected hot water, I got cold. Dryers worked fine, but don't say how much time is allowed. Park was quiet, but manager says they really only have a few overnight spaces. I believe there are 33 spaces. - Carolyn Cartier

Great campground. Sites are long, wide, and very level. Park was well kept and owners were very helpful. Will definitely stay on our way back. Very clear cable TV. - retiredmama

Stayed one night, great place for stop over. Second time we have stayed here and will stay again in future. Many longtime campers here, just good hard working people you know. Staff very friendly and helpful. Power was good, free cable TV, Water pressure good, and pad was great. - Robert and Monica
Jun 2018 - $45.00
We stayed for two nights. Site is level and smooth concrete with tree coverage. Internal roads are gravel and fairly narrow but we had no problems navigating with our 35' 5th wheel. All connections were convenient and included cable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Easy access from I-30 but it's easy to miss the turn off from Bus 271. - Motorcyclekelly
