We read in a pamphlet for Brenham that the county fairgrounds took RV's. Now realize this is not an RV park of any type. The fairgrounds have installed some power, sewer, and water for their guests and open it up to visitors. It is a grassy/gravel area out past the arena. We were the only ones camped there, and you get some road noise, but what made it nice for us is that we could walk our large dogs all over the fairgrounds as nothing was going on at the time. They do have trash cans available, but this may be the only amenity. The man at the office will give you directions, and you probably want to call ahead. It is about 1.5 miles from town on Blue Bell road. Yes, the ice cream factory is down the road, which is a great tour if that is your thing. We camped at Washington County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.
