This park is right next to the interstate and there was an unpleasant amount of road noise. Wifi is via Tengo which was hard to set up, but worked okay, not great, once you got it going. There were many long-term residents, but I didn't see that as a problem. The management didn't give me a particularly good feeling, nothing overt, but they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them when I asked questions about toll roads, making reservations, and long term storage.
Overall, it was okay for an overnight stop, but I'd look elsewhere if I intended to stay longer. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for two nights while visiting a friend in nearby Katy, TX. The sites are pretty small and close together...too close for our liking. The park is very close to I-10, but because it is up on a hill, most of the highway noise is muffled, unless you're in the first couple rows closest to the highway. Although the sites were small and the park was completely full, everything was fairly clean and tidy.
We didn't use any of the amenities, so can't comment on those. There are some grassy areas and a pond which we walked around with our dogs a few times (dogs are not permitted in the pond).
We'd consider staying here again, but would first look for someplace else nearby with larger sites. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate of $33 included tax. Amount we paid in tax was not shown on receipt.
Interior roads are not paved; sites are gravel. Sites are long; we did not have a problem parking our truck & our 40' RV on the site. A lot of permanent residents here. Very clean park & clutter free (rules are very strict regarding clutter). If you have dogs, be aware that the park does not allow outdoor fence around your RV for dogs. WiFi is pretty decent. It is free for the first 48 hours (one device only). After 48 hours, there is daily, weekly, monthly rate charge. We feel the park's nightly rate is pretty high for the services offered. Of course, this is the Houston area and it is located off of I-10. The convenience is worth it. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are heading west this is a great location and very quiet even though it is located right off of I-10! Nice spaces. A former KOA. Easy off/0n. Gas/diesel station close by. Staff was super nice. We would stay here again. We just stayed 1 night. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $35.00
This park is easy to access from I-10. It is fairly close to the Camping World and Holiday World stores in Katy. The sites are compacted dirt/gravel and are relatively level. The sites are a bit tight and there are no picnic tables. We actually set our outdoor chairs in front of the motorhome, as there was virtually no room to sit out on the side of the RV. The electrical box at our site looked a little rough, but all checked out and it functioned fine. There are quite a few permanent residents here, but everyone was friendly and the park was very quiet. The staff at the office was very friendly. This is an okay stop if overnighting or spending a couple of days in the Houston area. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Easy in and out. Many long term residents. Could walk all the way around a nice pond. Nice lounge and library for book trades. Clean individual showers but could use an update. Adequate laundry, catch and release fishing, pool, and good utilities. Would have been a 10 except for the gravel which was very noisy with many very early departures. Excellent park, excellent host. Only reason I'm not going with a 10 is the site required me to use a board under onside of the rig to get level. Even though this campground is next to I-10, you would hardly know it. Not sure why as there are no trees next to the interstate but it is elevated above the road. I had a problem with the Wi-Fi but I think it was me. The host did everything she could to get me online but all failed. I would highly recommend this campground. Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $33.00
These are basic pull-through sites. No frills. Rock & grass. No problem with internet. Bath/showers are clean, but they could spend $20 and replace the rusty curtain, rod, & rings. Trash pick up at site & trimmed grass. We would stay here again. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This was an overnight for us, the park is close to the freeway. The sites are long enough to stay hooked up, but a little close together. The staff is friendly. Fuel and shopping are close in the town. A Lot of the spaces are full with people staying for longer term. The park is clean and the services all work fine. We would stay again. Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
A great overnight stop. Easy access to I-10. An older park, gravel sites, but reasonably maintained. Staff friendly. Nothing fancy, lots of extended stay folks, but very adequate. Pull-through was easy to navigate. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $33.00
Very friendly staff. Roads are compact rock. Sites are level gravel pull through sites. Some shade trees and grass between sites, wide enough for big rigs. Nice place to stay. We were here for over night camping in a travel trailer. Would come back again. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is basically a stop over one nighter only. Very nice ladies in office told us the Wi-Fi was good: not true. So slow, unable to even receive a signal. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $35.00
We got the last spot. We had a back in that backed up to the freeway. There was an accident on the freeway that night so we had to get off. This was the most we paid for the least received. For a one nighter it worked. A lot of permanent RV's. Not where I would want to go to relax. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $35.00
We stayed here 4 nights while our motorhome had some repairs done at Camping World and Freightliner. Staff was friendly and willing to work with us with our indeterminate length of stay, based on completion of work needed on coach. There was a nice small pool, and a lake to the rear of the property. Roads and sites were gravel, sites were level, hookups worked well. There is no cable TV, but over air and satellite worked well. There are many full-timers (not a problem). The sites are narrow and close together, which took the rating down a little. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Easy on & Off. Services nearby. Good for an overnight.Friendly staff. Escort to site. Was not able to use rooftop dish because of trees. Otherwise works for overnight.Would look for another spot next time. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
