If you have pre-teens that you want to keep busy with activities such as a water park, paint ball, tractor rides, and scavenger hunts, then this is the place for you. If you want relaxation, views, or peace outdoors, skip. There are tons of staff members and they are extremely friendly. We were wanting a nice weekend away close to home, and this was not our style. It is an anthill of people racing around in rented golf carts.....I guess people don't walk anywhere and lots of noise from the interstate right next door. Also they had a dance party with Britney Spears loud enough for the entire campground. The site were close together and very shaded and well maintained. Some of the public areas, including the pools were a little suspect. Water pressure was awesome, 100 psi. Make sure you have a good regulator. We visited with our 4 year old and will probably not be back unless we are looking for entertainment for some 10 year olds. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

We had a really good time. The water park was great and the kids enjoyed paintball, laser tag, fishing and bingo. Our fire ring was full of trash. Someone took our golf cart by mistake. Apparently the keys work on all of the carts. $100 is a lot to pay for a spot and then have to pay for most of the amenities separately. There was not a good area to walk our dogs. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

The park is clean and well maintained. Most sites do not have satellite reception due to trees. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

We stayed for about 8 months on a monthly rate while my wife recovered from an accident. The staff is friendly and can be flexible to accommodate requests. There are trees blocking satellite signals in most sites, but on the flipside, most sites are shaded. This park caters to FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, which fit our needs great. Lots of activities for the kids all the time, and a water park next door that is open in the summer. They are now putting in a zombie paintball course. It's an eclectic place in some ways, and we enjoyed our stay there. They have a limited number of monthly spots currently, but are adding more within the next year or so by expanding the park in the back. Things are constantly changing. One previous reviewer mentioned the poor internet - that has been (mostly) resolved now, and the free public wifi is quite fast and usually reliable. It's a fun place, but is somewhat pricey, and they don't offer a whole lot of discount options. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here about six weeks while our home was undergoing repairs from an electrical fire. We were perfectly content here and would have stayed longer, but they have an odd policy concerning long term stays. Seems the site we were originally assigned to is one of their premium sites and is not available for extended stay. We would have to move if someone wanted a premium site and all the rest were taken. Trying to reason that we were paying full pop for 7 days a weeks while weekenders only pay for 2 or 3 days didn't register with them. Since we couldn't be guaranteed a spot beyond May 27, we opted to move to another park.

All that said, if you're looking for a short stay and have young kids, this park is highly recommended. There's two pools and lots of activities to keep the kids entertained. I've never stayed at a campground where the cable or wifi are worth a hoot and this was no exception. What I look for is a site with no overhead trees to interfere with our satellite and site 199 was just fine. We would have stayed longer if we could have been guaranteed a spot for a few more months. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

WE reserved an Premium RV site one year ago. They put cabins on the RV sites and moved us without telling us to a tight spot in the back. The RV spots are now in the back, no shade and a terrible site. We found out 2wks before arrival for May 2017. WE will save our usual 1000 dollars this year! We cancelled. Terrible owner decisions against RV campers-look out!! The good sites are gone. This is not an RV friendly site anymore!!! Ok. We stay here while waiting to get the motorhome repaired from the hail damages. Staying longer was not in our plans, with that being said the road noise from I 35 is noticeable, the sites need more gravel, and the roads need to be repaired from the utilities that they have dug for the cabin being put in. The WiFii is slow as a snail and drops you a lot. The cable is terrible, they say they have 20 channels - Not! We had to put us on antenna to get CBS,NBC and ABC. Went to the office and complain they sent a teenager to the site and he said there was nothing they could do bout it. The weekends are full of kids that run all over the place with no control from the office or their parents.

We were in one of their premium sites wasn't worth the extra expensive. I will not be back. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The weekend cost $75.00 per night w/GS. we stayed in the old part of the park. Nice tree shade and still got Satellite reception (without HD cause of light tree interference). Internet was very poor. couldn't even get email most of the time. We would stay here again. Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

$79.00 per night is for one camper and 2 adults and 2 children and that does not include the price for the water park. Now if you have plenty of money with young children this is the place to be. This is the second time we brought grand children here but it will be the last. I wanted to give it a better rating than last time but when I saw overall condition of the park I could not. High weeds everywhere. Over grown shrubs and trees, extremely poor internet, an ice machine that charges $3.50 for 10 pounds of ice but only weights about 4 pounds. In the office, ice is $3.79 per bag. Staff is very nice but apparently very poor management.

Construction crews adding to water park attractions begin early around 7:30 AM everyday. Many things for young children to do but my grand children liked on a few of the activities. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mixed feelings about this park. Great place for families with children because of the activities offered. Yes, the water park is a separate fee but at a reduced price-you can purchase for a day or $14/person for your entire stay. If you go to accompany family and NOT participate, you pay full price. And be prepared to sit in the hot sun unless you want to pay additional $35 for a covered area.

My husband and I met son and family for three nights, who were going to tent camp and reserved a space two spaces over from our site. When they arrived, they were told that the people who had their space decided to stay another night, so instead of honoring our son's reservation, Jellystone moved them to a different site far from where we were staying.

Cons: Our site, 54, was very shaded but not level; had to use about three leveling pads on one side. No grill but there was a fire ring. The cable did not work but we were able to get several channels through antenna (but cable is part of what you pay for, right?). WIFI was very weak. Some of the paved roads have potholes; the grounds looked unkempt, i.e., mowing and weed-eating, trash. There was recent flooding and the "creek" that runs through one area still had debris piled up in some spots although that may have been a "timing" issue. The Air Zone where the bouncy inflatables are located is in the full sun, two for the older kids were not inflated and they needed a good washing. The tables in the Bear's Den could be cleaned more often. And if you stay over a weekend be prepared for a LOT of noise and activity because this park is full of kids having a good time.

Pros: great family and kid-oriented park with LOTS of activities to keep the kids happy. We had fun playing candy bar bingo, watching karaoke, movie's in the evenings, swimming and a visit to the water park. Lots of shaded RV sites. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here and loved it. Very clean restrooms and shower and laundry facilities. We were only going to stay 2 days but extended for another 5 days. They had great activities for the family. Paintball was very fun. My only suggestion for improvement which I have previously discussed with the management is that they were very busy when we checked in and we weren't given a lot of detail about what was going on in the park. But we were able to figure it out. I would highly recommend this park to friends and family. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is from the weekly rate of $127.50. Big park with gravel roads and grass/dirt sites. Our first site, #53, was not level or big rig friendly so we asked to move. They then gave us #51 which worked fine. Nice pools and club house, rest rooms were nice. It was a busy park with lots of kids. Lots to do in the area so we would stay there again. The campground and water park were really nice. The showers in the clubhouse near our site were excellent and well kept. For some reason in the area we were in (Site 91) there was a sewer smell, not just at our site but in the whole area. We could smell it at the pool and clubhouse. Also, while we had a fire ring we didn't have a BBQ grate or pit. Normally there is a grate that flips over the fire ring that will allow you to cook on it but this was just a small ring. We will stay here again. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

We didn't use a lot of the park amenities as we were with a family reunion. However, the staff was very nice and we enjoyed the on-site restaurant. We were right up front by the cabins, but we never heard highway noise. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

If you have small children then maybe this is the park for you, but if you do not have kids - go elsewhere!! Don't get me wrong, I love kids! But where are the adults?? They are not (for the most part) supervising their kids!! Overall I'm sure it's a great place, but the grass on our site had not been cut in at least a month and our poor little dog was full of sand burrs within 5 minutes! The staff at check in was a mixed bag - the young lady who checked me in was so soft spoken I couldn't even hear her. She showed me a pile of papers, didn't understand why we didn't want all the activities and didn't bother to show me where our site was!! And then she tried to shove the papers (including the map) back into some yellow plastic bag!! Another young lady who knew considerable more showed me exactly where to go and once I got outside a young man offered to escort us to the site. I hope I never have to stay here again!! We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.
