Stayed at a cabin on Sunday 4/16/17 - Monday 4/17/17. The locations on the cabins are great and the area is beautiful. I would recommend Cabin 1 or 2 for its location. They have a playground for kids, nearby showers and restrooms, a volleyball net, and lots of space to explore and have fun. We drove to the Devil's waterhole, but did not cross the lake to jump the cliffs. But lots of people were doing it, including small children. Hiking the cliffs are so fun and there are small waterfalls around that area in which you can swim. Do take water shoes and be careful since most rocks on the lake by water falls are very slippery. This was the only down side since it could be dangerous for small kids. We also went swimming with our own tubes and people dis pass by with their pedal boats and canoes. There is lots of areas to go swimming that are low and safe, but remember that it is a lake, so some areas further away are deep. I would definitely go back , but hopefully I will reserve for at least 3 nights to enjoy the park more. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Cabin.

This is a beautiful park with great facilities and lots to do (30/50 AMP, water but no sewer). There is camping, backpacking, hiking, geocaching, swimming, boating and fishing. Most campsites have good spacing from neighbors and some shade. There is lots of interesting geology and wildlife. There is a small grocery store, as well as canoe, kayak, and paddle boat rentals. Campsites are in good shape and close to the water. It is a very popular park, so reservations are recommended for weekends and holidays. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

First time visiting Inks Lake SP. You can get a discount on the stated price if you have a Texas State Park pass. Our site was on the lake with easy access to the shoreline. The trade off is that there was not much separating the sites. If you want more privacy, the sites away from the shore looked good. We had good Satellite and AT&T service. There are a number of nice hiking trails in the park. Nearby, you can visit Longhorn Caverns State Park (6 miles away) and Enchanted Rock (50 Miles). We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice state park. Sites are all back-ins. Ours was a little difficult because of alot of overhanging tree branches.
We had a nice site overlooking one arm of the lake.
They have canoe, kayak and paddleboat rentals at the camp store. Unfortunately, it rained the whole 3 days we were here, but we'd definitely return to this park if in the area. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice state park. The sites are very spacious, there is grass between all the sites, fire rings, picnic tables and they are supposed to have WIFI but we could never get it to connect. All utilities worked well. The park is kept very clean. Sites were fairly level. Satellite coverage was easy to get. Very popular park so we were only able to stay 3 nights. Weekends book up months in advance, even in the off season. We would stay here again. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Inks Lake State Park is an iconic and extremely popular Texas State Park. It is in the heart of the Texas Hill Country just west of Burnet, TX. It was established in the 1930's.
Inks Lake is a constant level lake with many campsites on the lake. The lake is clear and great for swimming, kayaking and fishing. Devils Waterhole provides a place for the brave to jump from 30' into the lake.
Excellent hiking trails. 125 RV sites with water and 50A electric. Central dump station. Reservations required for weekend stays, months in advance. To get a lake front site, arrive Sunday through Thursday. We were in site 48. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park with professional, efficient friendly staff who keep this very popular Texas Hill Country park near the 833 acre Inks Lake running and maintained. Boat, canoe, kayak, swim, wade, tube on the water or hike 9 miles of trail. Bird at Bird blind, observe nature or do nothing. Park store rents canoes, kayaks, paddles, life vests and sells groceries and gifts. It also loans fishing gear. For your modern retail fix, Burnet is right around the country corner ;). Our site had 50 amp electric and water. Water to the space was off due to a break in a water pipe in the circle. It's a very nice park with lots of trees, and the lake for fishing and swimming. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in site #210, a huge site right on the water. The park is pristine, many sites are suitable for swimming in the cool, clear water or launching a canoe/kayak/jon boat. Devil's Waterhole is certainly worth visiting (whether or not you jump from the high rocks). There are some worthwhile hiking trails and two excellent fishing piers, plus multiple ranger-led activities for the kids each weekend.

We had excellent LTE cell service (AT&T) while here, but only one OTA tv channel (CBS). The only knock on this park is the lack of sewer hook ups, but they make up for it with new bathhouses (the kind with single door access to your own shower and changing area) all throughout the park.

This is an outstanding park. We will certainly be back. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The site was nice and relatively level, close to the water so canoeing and kayaking was very convenient. The lake was easy to paddle, well protected so no wind to deal with. Very close to bathhouse, which had nice clean showers with hot water. No soap or paper towels provided for day use and air dryer didn't work.

We stayed Sunday through Thursday nights and it was quiet and very restful. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice but crowded park. The weekend we visited most sites were taken by tent campers with children. The park rangers roamed the park regularly and kept everything running smoothly. The ranger station closed early the night we arrived, so we need to registered the next morning before 9 AM. The sites were close together, but not on top of each other. A lot of the larger level sites were taken by tenters, so make sure arrive early if you have a large rig or you want a waterfront site. The sites ranged from un-level to level, shady to full sun, waterfront to inland. This is a popular park, Saturday night sold out. Even with the full park, the park did not get noisy. We saw several deer and geese. We will definitely return. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very large park with almost 350 spots. Many are lakeside and almost all of the others have a water view. Many sites are shaded. Roads and parking pads are paved. Parking pad mostly level. Electric power is stable. It is very dry due to drought conditions and only propane grills (no charcoal) were allowed while I there. Fully stocked park store. Paddle boards and kayaks available for rent. Fishing pier. Wading area allows fly fishing. Strong Verizon signal. We camped at Inks Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
