We got reservations early because of it being a Trade Days weekend, manager was super helpful. We rolled in during a thunderstorm but the owners were out in it, helping us and another RVer get into our spots. The rest of the time went great, perfect weather. The park is well maintained and laid out well. They have added a few more sites and have just a little work to have them in good shape. Good wifi, a dog park, nice restrooms/showers with a laundry room. The road noise from Interstate 20 was the only drawback but we ran a small electric heater with the cool temps and barely heard the big rigs. Received a text message from the owners to make sure we arrived home safe and to thank us for staying. Hope to make this a annual trip to Canton Trade Days and we will stay at Wagon Train again. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent service. Sites were level, easy to maneuver, owner on site very friendly, convenient to I-20. Even have storm shelter on site. Good WiFi, Decent AT&T service, easy satellite tuning and about 20 channels of OTA TV. Of several RV parks in area this one is probably best value. Very nice appearance and landscaping. New and they are planning additions and more beautification. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is just off I-20 several miles from Canton. Ask for exit number when you call; depends on which direction you are headed. Have stayed here several times on cross-country trips and will again. New owners are making improvements. No cable and we did not find any over-the-air tv either. Used our wifi hot spot to get Netflix, Amazon, etc however. Usually full around the first Monday of the month due to huge swap meet in Canton at that time. Space generally available other times. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful, small park just off I-20 east of Canton. The new owners keep the park immaculate and are expanding the number of sites. Each site is gravel and level with large grass areas and at least one sizeable tree between each site. All hookups are well placed and work great. The pull-thru sites are long enough for a 45' motorhome with towed without disconnecting. WiFi was good. There is a small pavilion with numerous Adirondack chairs. There is a small pond currently hosting ducks, geese and a heron. Lots of small rabbits in the area. The park is close to the highway but road noise was not an issue. The owners intend to build a larger bath area and possibly a couple of small cabins, but their intent was to keep it small enough so they could visit with their guests. There are a few long-term residents, but each site was immaculate. Canton has a very huge "First Monday Trade Days" every month. It is a gigantic flea market (6,000 vendors on hundreds of acres) started more than a century ago and this would be an ideal place to stay while enjoying this fantastic event. It is also a wonderful place to stop en-route other destinations. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at a nice little campground last night, Wagon Train RV Park in Canton, TX. Very quiet, FHU 50 amp, decent WiFi, spacious level gravel pull-thru site, $27 w/Good Sam's. The owners were more than accommodating. One of them met us at our site, connected our electric & asked if we need help with our water or sewer. They are going to add 10 more sites that will be even larger than current ones. It was right off I-20 W exit 536. Easy off, easy on. We will definitely stay again. May decide to spend the winter here. Oh, they were expecting a bad storm with possible strong winds. They stopped by to tell us they have storm cellar that will hold 40 people if we needed it. We did not but was nice to know. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What a nice neat clean park. Just 15 sites. The owners are very friendly and keep a beautiful campground. Full hook ups and very Strong WiFi. Close to the interstate but not too close. A fan easily covers up the traffic noise at night. We would stay here again. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great little park for an overnight or a few nights. We are traveling cross-country and have had our fill of the in-town campgrounds, full of permanent residents all jammed up together.

Our GPS told us to take exit 527, which is the exit for city of Canton. Other reviewer noted the correct exit for westbounders. The next exit west will get you there also, just a little farther on the frontage road.

It is out in the country. Pretty quiet even though I-20 is out front. Cattle and horses against the back fence. Everything worked fine. This is our second time here and we will return. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

When we asked about a place to eat, were told about Denny's, Taco Bell, Subway, etc. There are non-fast food places; just have to look. Try the Jalopino Tree on I-20 and exit 527 and Buttermilk's downtown near the Courthouse.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights using Passport America at $15 per night. It was a great value for that. This is a very small park with the owners on site and running it. There is a nice small building with a few private showers which were very clean, a laundry room with $1.00 machines and a small book swap for readers. The sites are easy in and out as they are pull throughs. It is right on the highway but not overly loud. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great park just off of I-20. Nice pull-thru's easy to use. Great WIFI. The only complaint is the sewer connection is to the rear of the site. Very nice owner. No shade, but a plus for satellite reception. Will put on our list of definitely staying again. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small campground just East of Canton, TX. Pull thru was just long enough for Class A and toad. Park was clean and perfect for an overnight. Over the air TV channels were adequate and both AT&T and Verizon had decent signals. Didn't use facilities. Gravel roads and pads were in good condition. There was no trees for shade and it was 101 degrees when we arrived at 6 PM. Office was closed and sign said pick a spot and fill out envelope with payment. Park was perfect for an overnight stay. A little freeway noise but that is to be expected: we wanted easy on and off! Not terrible, we could still sit outside and enjoy the evening. Extremely pleasant staff and clean, well maintained park. Note: if coming from the east, take exit 536. Easy pull-thru for our 40' with tow. We would stay here again. PROS:

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great wifi.

Clean.

I noticed that they were actively maintaining and improving the campgrounds.

CONS:

Shopping is not close by.

My wife REALLY loved this CG. Because of them, we try to find smaller campgrounds.

We would stay there again with no hesitation. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New management, were the most pleasant family and extremely helpful. There are 15 full hookup sites, large with a grass area next to them. Great for even the largest of RVs. Road is compacted gravel, sites have a smaller tumbled stone well packed. Great WiFi. Nice large grass area across From sites to walk dogs. Our GPS mislead us (took us off before correct exit). The exit is 533 off I-20 east of Canton. You will be on service road for about 1 1/2 miles. Would come back again! We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
