This is our second stay at Lake Pointe RV and definitely will not be our last. The park is quiet, all campsite have pick nick tables, two swimming pools, close to new Brookshire Brothers grocery store, and of course the lake. First stay was over the fourth of July weekend in the B area W/E/S. Spot was tight but the activities--golf cart parade, swimming pool, and friendly neighbors made up for it. Next stay was in C area W/E. Honey wagon comes once per week and grey water can be drained through a hose 10 feet or more from RV. The C/D area is much nicer than the A/B area. Larger spaces, more trees, lake views, and less traffic. From now on, we will ask for the C/D area. Lastly, some folks mention the older buildings and rocky landscape, its the Hill Country. If you want the paved roads and more suburbia feel, there is a higher priced RV park down the road that will remind of your neighborhood at home. If you like wildlife (semi-tamed deer) and birds, quiet walks by the lake, and just an overall feeling of peacefulness, this is your park. We will be back. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We made reservations via the Coast to Coast web site. Upon arrival, they could not find my reservation, I told them it was made online via CC, when they looked on the website, they found my reservation, lucky for me they had a few sites still available. Then I was hit with the add-ons. An additional $5.oo per night resort fee, and 12 cents per kilowatt hour used during our seven day stay. The resort itself was ok, our site was close to the showers and restrooms and laundry, we had a back-in on a level concrete pad and all utilities worked. The roads through out the park were gravel . All in all our stay was fine except for the first impression. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at Lake Pointe for 6 days . While wifi was available in the park, it was spotty because they don't want to cut down the trees that obstruct the signal. LOTS of deer, counted 21 in the park at one point. Fairly convenient for going to Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, and other small communities in the area. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was very quiet and very close to the lake. They had a nice clubhouse/pool area that we did not use (pool was closed). There were lots of deer which were nice to see throughout the park. They do have two fenced dog areas but only one was sort of maintained and it was small and had tons of stickers. There was a great walking trail by the lake. The wifi did not work at our site. Some sites had full hook ups and others did not. Seemed to be several long term campers. They have a storage facility onsite which had a lot of abandoned looking campers. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is very old with very little improvements. They really build up ownership, I don't get it. Rocky hill country type park, nothing smooth, roads rocky rough with tree limbs hanging over. Tight quarters, but it was fine for a night. Deer running everywhere and the kids were having a good time at the pool. The lady in the office was just super nice with that southern hospitality; she was my favorite memory from our stay. We were leaving at the exit gate and the shrubs and bushes on the side scratched the heck out my motorhome (I was so mad). I probably will stay somewhere else next time down that way. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We just got our first motorhome and were so excited to use it for the first time over labor day weekend. We knew it would be hard to find availability because it was last minute. I found out about Lake Pointe Resort through the grapevine so I decided to give them a call. Before making reservations , I asked about the guest policy. The lady on the phone said the limit is 6 per site, after that its $10 per person (no problem) . So I made reservations for Labor Day weekend. Upon arrival of the campground, lots of gravel road that was not maintained until the next day. So we had a bumpy entrance. We did tour the laundry facilities and restrooms, they were very clean. The pool looked fun as well as the back patio at the recreation center. Also I took my dogs to the dog park, it was not maintained. Grass and weeds almost up to my waist (no idea what may be lurking in tall grass), bench had wasps all around it so no way of sitting down. After seeing what was offered at the RV park (besides the dog park) we were impressed, but were not planning on using those amenities since our focus was more on going to the lake. Our first two guests that showed up were going to be charged a $10 fee (guests are only coming by to say hi and not use the facilities), Lady A and Lady B working at the front desk were apparently in discussion about the fee. One stated they would actually charge it after the holidays, and the other lady did not know about the fee. So our first two guests came in free of charge. The next day 1 guest showed and she was charged $10. On Sunday I planned on having a small BBQ with my parents and a few friends, no one showed up because of the $10 fee. I wish the ladies at the front desk had more accurate info, I would not of booked here if my guests were going to charged $10 each just to say hi.

The park is all gravel road. Make sure you ask questions and maybe record the conversation in case they all of a sudden change the policy after you make reservations. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a "private" campground that will rent to us outsiders. They have a mix of full hook-ups and water-electric sites. They have a weekly honey truck visit included for the no sewer sites. The park is in need of some grooming and was a bit overgrown. It's very quiet and many deer roam about looking for a handout. Our pad was concrete and fairly level but a bit short for our 39' 5er. Water, electricity and sewer were all fine. Wifi was available maybe 50% of the time, if you don't expect internet you won't be disappointed. Regular rate is $35 and $45 in peak period. I'm pleased enough with the park for the $22 we paid, at full price I think it's overpriced. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend, in the D loop spot 27.

I don't understand the one review that said "parking lot campground", the full hookup sites are kind of like that but the rest of the campground is a big loop and the majority of the sites are spacious. I liked the area of D27ish on the outside of the loop, they are spacious and backup to the woods/lake view. Even though the sites don't have sewer hook ups they allow you to drain your gray water with a water hose at least 10 feet from the site, I had a 75 foot hose that ran all the way into the woods and looks like most do it that way, there are some long term (monthly) campers in the area that use a honey wagon. The deer are very cool to see walking around the campground, the pool is nice, family pool is a large pool, adult pool is smaller but in a neat location.

The playground is run down, and the ride on toys scattered around it are all broken, there were teenagers throwing them around and such one evening until we walked up and told them to stop and let the small kids play.

Good location with grocery store within a couple miles, Baja BBQ restaurant at the Canyon Lake marina is well worth a visit and only about 3 miles or so.

Boat parking lot was a mess with boats and trailers scattered and pointing all different directions...but it was A holiday weekend so I chalk that up to that reason.

I'll be visiting again. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. We stayed in the A-B sections which have full hookups. Lots of trees in these sections. A mixture of cement and gravel sites. It has 2 pools. One for adults the other for families. Nice decks around the office for gazing at the lake. Walking distance to the lake where you'll find a cement sitting area with benches and a fire pit. Also you can drive this trail to put in your kayak. There's an older rec center which houses a movie watching room, library, and fitness center. Many deer wander the area and we were delighted to be there when several fawns were born. This was a members only park that was recently opened to the public. The office was very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay but due to a member's reservation for our site we did have to move. Lots of empty sites due to the reservations of members, which makes it a quiet park. We'll return. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects C2C membership. Electricity is metered, so that is an additional charge. Campground was very easy to find. There is a security gate at the entrance to campground. This is a standard "parking lot" style campground. However, they easily handle big rigs. Sites are close together. There was room in the site for the truck, 5th wheel and jeep. Gravel roads through the campground. Each camp site is gravel with a little grass. There are trees throughout the campground. Sites are all level. Each site had a picnic table. There was an adult only and a family pool. However, despite the 80+ temperature, the pools were not open. Nice laundry room. There were about 15 deer living/wondering through the campground. Lake is accessible from the campground by bike or walking. Many of the campsites have a good view of the lake. There were benches, porch swings and picnic tables throughout the campground to enjoy the lovely view. Good Verizon coverage. Easy to get DirecTV satellite. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Excellent RV repair shop very nearby, Texas Country RV. They fixed a couple major issues on short notice and fixed them well. Will come to park.

You can kayak the lake there but you have to drive it to the lake then bring your truck back to your site and walk back.

This rate reflects Coast to Coast rate. We really enjoyed our time here. The first thing we saw as we pulled up to register was a herd of deer, 24 to be exact. We found out that they are there most of the day but especially in the morning and evenings. They are friendly enough to feed from a distance. When checking in we were asked how long we wanted to stay and answered a few days. I suspect that is why we were told to select a spot in the C or D loops as this area does not have full hookups. No sewers. That was fine for us as the D loop is loosely based on a large circle with open space in the middle so we felt less crowded. We could not see the lake but there are very few spots that can. There are trails to the lake and it is a good place to unleash your dog. The interior roads are gravel and kind of rough but manageable. Satellite and antenna worked well but we could not use our Tmobile cell at all. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This rate reflects Coast-to-Coast and does not include electricity. You take your meter reading when you arrive and again when you leave and they figure out what you owe at checkout. Gravel sites. Close to Lake, some sites can see the lake. Some sites are full hookup, others are water and electric but they come around and pump out your black water. Some activities but guess they don;t get much participation so they don;t have too many. Friendly staff. Would stay here again. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We loved this place and stayed here for 16 days. The park is well kept and the people are the friendliest. Lots of activities. We stayed in the front and had view of the Lake and had the most beautiful sunsets. Lots of deer, which we were allowed to feed deer corn. This is a Coast to Coast (CC) park, but they allow Passport America, which we are. No pressure on purchasing into CC. This is very close to New Braunsfels, San Marcos, San Antonio and other locations. Great park and I highly recommend this park and the price. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Very friendly, clean and located in a great part of Texas. Wi-Fi was excellent; TV was non existent (no cable and weak air signal). There was cable TV in the rec center, but not at RV sites. Rate shown is Pass Port America. We camped at Lake Pointe RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
