We pulled through this place because it's on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon. Only one RV was there in a Huge flat, level lot on the canyon rim. Office was locked with no way to contact anyone even though it was a Wednesday afternoon. As I said, no one was camped there either. Access to bathrooms/showers was blocked by litter and garbage, and some sort of tower under construction, probably for a zip-line. This place appears to be out of business as a campground. We camped at Palo Duro Adventure Park in a Travel Trailer.

We wound up at this campground after being evacuated from Palo Duro Canyon State Park because of an uncontained grass fire. The owners were very friendly and helpful and kept the office open late to accommodate us refugees from the State Park. It was nine at night but a young man offered to guide us to our site and make sure we got hooked up all right. I did not find the park to be the horror the previous poster claimed. I did not use the restrooms, and I did not see garbage piled up. We did see some broken sewer caps. The office building is run down, but we felt it more important that we were treated kindly and were not taken advantage of in a difficult situation. Bottom line is that the place is in need of some upgrades and maintenance, but it was quiet, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. The grounds were easy to maneuver in our 37' fifth wheel, and we had a great Verizon cell signal. We got a discounted fee I assume because of the late arrival and short stay. We camped at Palo Duro Adventure Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We ended up here for one night after heavy rain closed campground access at Palo Duro State Park. This place is next door to the park. The sites are behind a dilapidated building housing an across-the-canyon zip line. The camping area is a grassy field, with old electric pedestals, some of which appeared broken. Many sewer covers were broken. The bathrooms were filthy. There are no shower facilities. Garbage is piled next to two small containers at the corner of the main building. We were glad to leave for our park campsite the next morning when the road was finally accessible. Avoid this place for camping. We camped at Palo Duro Adventure Park in a Motorhome.
