We stayed one night in our motorhome in this park, way over priced for what is offered. We were told our 38' motorhome would fit, it was very tight, length and width. The cable didn't work, when I called they did send someone right away and he said it was a problem with our motorhome. We had been at several parks prior to there and had no problem with cable hookup. He then told me they had to have cable company at that spot last week, so I'm suspicious it's our motorhome that's the problem. We were tired from driving all day so we just went to bed. lots of noise from highway. We would not return to this park. - Butter3939
Jul 2016 - $49.00
Beautiful location, easy access from interstate, and clean. Not friendly staff if you arrive after 6:00 PM with no reservation.
Would probably stay somewhere else next time. $48.75 fee for 50 amp (tight squeeze into site #1 for 38' RV).
Paved roads. Walked dog in shade near office. - cindy d
Mar 2016 - $40.00
Very clean park, well maintained and friendly staff. Sites are large and all hookups, WiFi, etc. worked well. - senator47
Aug 2017 - $38.00
We called and had a reservation, however no one at the front desk told us that the entrance road was down to one lane and very tight to get into. I get that they are fixing the road, but tell people that when they call and warn them of the construction. CAUTION!! If you use a GPS Garmin to navigate to this location and it tells you to go to HARRIS St to get into the park DO NOT GO DOWN THIS STREET. DEAD END! LOW POWER WIRES WILL HIT YOUR RIG!.. USE MAIN ST for access to park.. Look for sign. The place got great reviews so that is why I picked this place for the one night stay. However the sites were okay, the park is VERY Crowded. We walked around the park and were disgusted to see the long term trailers doing whatever they wanted. Freezers, gear all over, cages, grills, furniture, grass was not cut, and it smelled bad. Then early in the mornings its like a TRACTOR PULL going on, all of the long term oil workers leaving for work with diesel trucks loud and making sure you knew they were leaving. I would not recommend this place - Retired Marine
Nov 2016 - $90.00
We stayed in the deluxe riverfront site with the hot tub (site 233). It was awesome! This is a great campground. If we did not stay by the river I am confident that my review may not be as positive as it is. The river sites are fantastic and the hot tub makes it really memorable. Easy to find and get in and out of with our 38' fifth wheel. - Howls_Castle
Sep 2016 - $30.00
They weed-eated and cut my sewer hose and did not make a repair nor replace it. They wanted extra money for visitor parking. Also they advertise free wifi. The wifi does not work. - Joe Anthony
May 2018 - $38.00
Not the greatest park on our trip but we would stay there again if in town. Site was a little tight but doable for our Motorhome. Tow vehicle parked real close to Motorhome. It was perfect for us because we were there to sight see and not hang out at campground. Was definitely worth it and Location worked for us. - PJ Norris
Apr 2016 - $30.00
This is a very small park and all the sites are back in, and close together. There are no extras here, but it served it's purpose while we were in Houston to work. The park is clean and quiet, however there is noise from the mobile home park next door. WiFi was excellent and never had a problem connecting, or with speed. This would not be a park to try to check in after hours, as there are seldom vacant spaces. - Lisa C
May 2012 - $30.00
We stayed here for several months while working. If you are looking for a small, quiet place to park your RV, this is a good one, but it has nothing special. It has a small laundry room with a bathroom, no showers. The manager's live on site and are nice people. The owners are extremely nice. They don't want kids here and they really don't like dogs, but they tolerate them, if you pick up after them and keep them on a leash, which is what most places require. This is a very "tight" park and it was very hard to back into our spot. All spots are back in. Mostly working people stay here. It's very close to everything you need, grocery, Walgreen's, restaurants, shopping, golf courses. There is a very run down and old mobile home park next door, but we really didn't have any problems with them and there is a 12 ft. fence between the two properties. I felt very safe here. - RV Lover
Jan 2016 - $40.00
Reservation made for a long pull-thru and was put in a site too short - park was full so we had to unhook in order to fit in the site. Wifi and Cable TV worked okay. - Retired FL CSM
May 2013 - $30.00
Near the 146 & a Chevron Station, so noise level is high. No restrooms or showers. Lots of permanents who don't seem to think they have neighbors, and can be as loud as they want. Laundry room floor was littered with dryer sheets and a couple of cigarette butts. However, WiFi was great, cable was great, and the owner is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Lots of grass for walking the dogs on. Park is about 20 miles from the Space Center and some great restaurants (Tommy's Restaurant and Oyster Bar had a dozen yummy oysters for $5!) Next time, we'd probably stay outside of Baytown. - OTR again
Aug 2012 - $35.00
Clean, quiet park. We have stayed here more than once and would stay again. No cable but the WiFi is great. No showers or bathrooms. Does have a clean laundry facility and a convenience store at the front of the park. We paid a weekly rate of $125. - kellycro
Mar 2018 - $53.00
We were here for a few days and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a very nice pot luck hosted by the park managers. Very family oriented. Kids had a blast! Restrooms were very clean. Pool was sparkling. Had a few rowdy guests (workers) but were handled very professionally by the staff. Park was clean and well maintained. We will be back and we recommend to our fellow fulltime RVers. - rvfutureoffgrid
Mar 2018 - $11.00
We have stayed at a few Quality resorts in the Houston area, Our 2nd time here in the last 3 years. First time very good, this time not so good. Management unfriendly, has no clue what goes on in the park. Rv's older than 15 yrs and junky throughout the park. Day we arrived 1 RV was still in it's site burned out from a fire, few days later it was removed, they never cleaned up after removal. Some occupied sites very dirty and junk all over them. Some train and plane noise, Resort is mostly workers, so the loud diesels start rolling out at 5 am. Ours site was between workers . Next time in Houston we will stay elsewhere. - DBSnowbirds
Apr 2017 - $57.00
Eastlake is just to the east of Houston off the Sam Houston Expressway. It is just off the highway although the access roads are a bit narrow but manageable. The Resort is predominately concrete with concrete internal roads and pads but wide and navigable. We drove our 45ft MH with tow attached through the park, into our site, and out the next morning. Spaces are close together, although large enough for slides to go out. It appeared like the majority of residents were permanent with a few over-nighters here and there. Utilities worked fine and were placed in convenient locations. Did not use wifi or facilities so cannot comment but in general things throughout the park were clean and tidy. Office staff were friendly and helpful. The park did not appeal to us but is fine for an overnight stay, although a bit pricey. - LvR
Jan 2010 - $20.00
Great place to stay!!! I stayed here for 6 months. It is a top notch park and management is as well. I would definitely stay here again. - jasonb
May 2013 - $48.00
This is a nice older park with a lot of permanent rigs. There is a tricky turn around at the office that is not big rig friendly. We had to disconnect the car to get around. Our site (97) was all cement with a shade tree. There is always a breeze and the fishing pier is inviting. The leash rules are not tightly enforced with some dogs off leash most of the time. There is no traffic noise and is close to stores and the Kemah boardwalk. We went with two other couples and would come back again. We enjoyed our stay. - kaydbug
Mar 2012 - $48.00
I agree with the last reviewer. We had a site that the sewer pipe was elevated about 18" above ground - made it impossible to drain tanks. New sites going in but they need a lot of work. - old penny
Jan 2012 - $43.00
I stayed here for 1 night in a pull through site. Campground elevation is 9 feet. Maneuvering my 40 footer towing a dinghy was somewhat tight. Roads are asphalt, my site & patio are concrete. Site spacing is close. WIFI is included in daily rate. Cable is not available. I was able to receive AT&T Wireless G3/4 Internet & Cellular service. I received Dish Network 110/119 Satellite TV from dish on roof of motorhome. Campground is pet friendly. Walmart and Kroger are 3 mile away. I am unable to comment on other amenities due to not using them. Most of their guests are monthly’s. There are only a hand full of pull throughs and most of them have monthly’s on them. Only 1 Long Enough for Motorhome & Car w/o Unhook. It appears that roughly 90% of the residents here are construction workers in fifth wheels and travel trailers. This is quite different from most KOA’s. It looks like spaces for one and two nights was an afterthought and they squeezed them in. While the sites are concrete they are very close together. There is some standing water 2-3 days after a rain. It is a little noisy from 6 to 7 in the morning and in the late afternoon with all the diesel pickup trucks going and coming. At $43 per night they are way overpriced and will not see me again. - User1688
Aug 2015 - $50.00
Here for work for a couple months. Overall was a nice place to stay.
The good: It's a nice, quiet park and has a security person at night on the weekends. There is a pier you can fish from. The park itself is pretty clean. There is a laundry room which is rather small but clean. The bath rooms were also kind of small but clean. The pool is nice. They will also accept packages if you need something sent, and have mailboxes available. If you need by the month and can get a spot on the inside, it's about 500 plus power, not too bad.
The bad: My biggest complaint -The internet is horrible, had to jump off my phone often. You can pretty much forget trying to use the WiFi when everyone is home from work in the evening and on weekends.
Lots 93-111 are called bay front and they charge premium price, they are not bay front and there may be 2 spaces that you can see the water between the buildings in front of you, so those are way overpriced. (but all the "bay front" are overpriced, in my opinion). Although a better rate than 50.00 per day for daily rates, 700 a month plus power is a little on the high side. There is some trash along the water line on the canal side. - scarlett12
Feb 2008 - $30.00
Beware! This park is running a "non-refundable deposit" scam. The reservation section of their website says $25/day with no deposit required. When we called ahead to check on availability for two nites they indicated that they had one site left. They then indicated that if we wanted to reserve the site for two nites that it required a charge to our credit card of a "$50 deposit that is non-refundable." We had no problems with a deposit to hold the site. We understand parks need to protect themselves from holding sites for people who wind up being no shows. Besides, the deposit was essentially our two night camping fee simply paid in advance. Upon arrival they informed us that the rate was $30/day as opposed to the $25/day they post on their website. We were okay with that, it's only $5 difference per day. However, we were not okay with what they told us next. The $50 deposit was NOT going to be applied towards our camping fee of $60. The $50 deposit was being charged IN ADDITION to our $60 camping fee. This brought our total for 2 days to $110, or $55/day. When you challenge them their response is "We made it clear that the deposit was non-refundable." Sure, they tell you it's a non-refundable deposit. Any campground that requires a deposit to hold a site for you makes it clear that if you don't show they keep the deposit. We're cool with that. What this campground DOESN'T tell you is that the $50 non-refundable deposit is NOT applied towards your camping fee. You don't find that out until you've driven all day to get to your "reserved" campsite and you are handing over your charge card to pay for the site. This campground should be avoided at all costs. They are running a "play on words" scam and picking up an extra $50 with every camper who calls ahead for reservations. - ToWanda
