Oct 2015 - $26.00
Made reservations prior and arrived Sunday. Office was closed and no envelope for us. The camp host did not know we were arriving. A poor start but found the park satisfactory.
A cleaning lady made us feel welcome, contacted the park host, and overall did a great job helping us.
Park was clean, sites have concrete pads, grass between sites. All utilities worked well.
We found a constant noise from a motor running on the property close by. Not extremely loud but consistent.
Overall a good place for an overnight. - RDRV
Sep 2015 - $26.00
Nice park, large level gravel pull-throughs. Individual bath/showers, very clean. Note that they no longer except PPA. Slightly disappointed because it was one of the reasons I chose the park. - SnowBird 5050
May 2015 - $26.00
We arrived on a rainy, stormy evening and were greeted with a warm welcome from the office staff. We were given plenty of information on local places of interest. Our site was a level concrete pad that was much appreciated during the huge downpour. The amenities were absolutely first class and we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were super friendly and we take away some lovely memories of a great night of music. - KenandCathy
Dec 2017 - $30.00
Shallow Creek R.V. Resort, Gladewater, Texas. $29.70. This R.V. park is about 1.5 miles off of I-20 and is easily accessible. The park is very nice with lots of amenities (Pool, hot tub, small water park, gym, golf). The restroom/showers were clean and private. The park is very well maintained with a full time staff. Cable TV and WiFi were outstanding; a speed test on the WiFi delivered download speeds of 28Mbps, best I've seen at an R.V. park. Sites are large and paved with a paved patio and a small strip of grass; hookups are in excellent condition. We were in site 45 which was long enough for a unhooked toad. We only stayed one night, but I could easily spend more time in this R.V. park. - rwramsey
Jun 2017 - $30.00
We have stopped here many times for short stays. The staff could not be nicer. The transient sites are fairly level. The entire park is concrete which is very nice for walking. The golf course is under renovation so there is a bit of noise, but it is not bothersome. We exited in a 42 ft. motorhome with a tow and did not scrape, you just have to go slowly. - larriin
Jun 2017 - $35.00
Park is OK for overnight not much more. Lots of permanent trailers. Hot tub and small pool. Steep exit but we didn't have a problem. - southernsky
Feb 2017 - $18.00
This is an easy location to get to. Very friendly staff. The park is out in the open with out trees. There are a few covered sites. We had a pull through on asphalt. The park sites are spacious. There is a dog run but I was very disappointed that visitors had not cleaned up after their pets even though there were bags and trash receptacle. I even walked my dog on another grassy area that was littered with poop! - oniedu
Nov 2016 - $21.00
Passport America, Good Sam. Fairly new park. Very nice asphalt slabs w/very good gravel roads. No grass or trees in park. Free WIFI works well. Apx. 6 covered sites. Easy access, friendly host. My only caution would be the utility hookups. They are at extreme rear of the site. A long sewer hose plus an extension will be needed, especially for a motorhome. The sewer connection is also rather high above the ground making dumping difficult for motorhomes. Water & electric connections are very close to the ground (perhaps 4 inches) ...connecting is a little more difficult than normal because of being so close to the ground. - AFChap
Oct 2016 - $30.00
NIce well maintained park with level sites/concrete slabs, very quiet with lots of room between neighbors, pet friendly with lots of green grass, in a clean country setting. The park owner & all employees are some of the nicest folks we have had the pleasure of meeting. We'll be back!!! - chiefbowen
Sep 2016 - $49.00
We have been staying in this park for 3 months while traveling with my husbands job. Park is super clean and very quiet. Owner is located on site and is always a phone call away. He tries very hard to make sure campers are happy. Well lit up at night also. They have 3 fishing ponds for those wanting to fish. There is a swimming pool that is open during the summer months that is very nice. They have a huge camp house that allows campers to watch big screen tv or play pool or just hang out. He has recently had wifi repaired and i can actually say it is probably the best wifi we have found while traveling. He has 2 different types of spots. Regular and deluxe. We stayed in a delux spot which has concrete pad and also a carport to park your vehicle under. There is a storage building also that we put our deep freeze in. The lot has 2 electric meters and also 2 water hookups. There is a picnic table at all spots. Their regular spots also have a concrete pad to park on. They are also nice because they usually have more shade than the deluxe spots. Monthly rates were regular $270 plus electric and deluxe was $370 plus electric. It's a very nice park and one would have to decide wether they need the extra carport and shed the deluxe spot offers. I personally found it very useful having the carport due to the amount of rain we received and being able to still grill underneath it. I would highly recommend staying at Watts RV park in Gilmer Texas. - soney40
Jul 2016 - $14.00
We are on our 2nd month stay here and our daily rate is based on that. This park nestled in rural East TX, has grown over the years and is always being improved on. It is about a mile off Hwy 155 and the road to the park has been repaved by the city. The park roads are gravel and whilst maintained, can be dusty and bumpy in areas. The sites, some hilly, have flat concrete pads with water, electric 30/50 and sewer hookups. There are shady and open spots to chose from. Some have a covered patio and shed near their pad. The free wifi serves our needs for now. No problem with Verizon cell phone coverage.
There are 3 ponds, one under reconstruction due to a leak and will be restocked later. There is a nice pool and a great clubhouse that has a kitchen, bathrooms with showers, library room, pool tables and comfy couches to watch the big screen TV. There is also an event center that can be booked for parties and gatherings.
The grounds have picnic shelters with grill pits. It is a lovely little park with piney trees, well mowed grass areas and quiet and peaceful. Everyone is friendly and helpful and it makes for a comfortable stay as we have to be here d/t a family illness. - TheWetzels
Oct 2017 - $15.00
Nice, well maintained little park. Great rate at $15/night for 20/30/50 and water. Large, level, back in site fit both truck and trailer with no need to disconnect. Unfortunately, contrary to what other reviewers said, my stay was not quiet at all, even with the park empty. Locals were cruising the adjacent street with music turned way up all night long. A few drove through the campground and left when they saw the camper. Barking dog at one of the neighboring homes and several trains throughout the night. Might be different during the week, but I would not return on a Saturday night. And probably would not return at all. Just too loud. - RV_CamperGuy
Sep 2016 - $15.00
This was a great find. Elec and water. Has dump station on the way out. Very quiet. Nice park connected with children's playground and tennis court. Nice walking path. If you're between Dallas and Shreveport on I-20, check it out. Probably not a good park if your RV is longer than 34 ft. - LisaTom
Sep 2016 - $15.00
Very nice park, well maintained, clean and quiet. No working 50 amp at any of the sites the night we stayed there, but 30 amp was fine with the use of an adaptor. There is no sewer hookup at the sites but there is a dump station. As other reviewer wrote: "The RV park entrance is on the west side at South Commerce street between Harris Street and West Woodlawn (Hwy 42)." We will stay there again when in the area. - Mom_of_Two
Feb 2018 - $40.00
We stayed one night, passing thru to Waco. Wonderful park, paved pads and roads. Clean, private, heated showers. Owner recommended Duke's Fish Shack, which had amazing food. One of the best places we have stayed. - Pam Stephens
Nov 2017 - $36.00
Very friendly park. Lynnae, who checked us in, was extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. It's a very nice park; reasonable and clean. We stayed for one night. - oldbluejay
Oct 2017 - $45.00
Very nice commercial campground. Long, perfectly level concrete site, with nice grass area between neighbor. Very easy, friendly check-in. Utilities worked well and accessible. Only demerits are snowy TV on some cable channels and Wi-Fi through Tengo which is a total pain. However, our second stay here and we would stay again. - starwind
Aug 2007 - $30.00
I lived in this park for about six months and I am very glad I moved to a different park (Shallow Creek RV Resort in Gladewater, TX). This was basically privately owned land that the owner had put many RV sites on. It was not well kept, had all dirt roads that were VERY bumpy, and some of the residents were very loud. I used the laundry facilities once and never did again because my clothes stunk after they were done. They were very nasty facilities. The trees are pine trees and dripped all over my trailer. I am still working on cleaning up the mess. The owner is very strange and has a lot of rules that no one seems to follow anyway. The sites are not paved in any way. I would not recommend staying at this park. Instead, try Shallow Creek RV Resort in Gladewater, TX. - A.J Meals
Mar 2017 - $24.00
LOTS of long-term people with a lot of stuff outside. Sites are a little gravel with a lot of grass. Everything seemed to work fine, grass needs to be mowed. Very friendly office staff. Not a bad cheap place for a stopover, close to the highway. - DogFriendlyGuy
Jun 2015 - $27.00
We stayed in a pull through for $400.00 a month. We chose pull through because we have a 42 ft big rig. Do not have to pay electric if in a pull through. Park really not good for big rigs. Too close for comfort. Very nice people work and live at park, especially front office staff. She is the best. Washers and dryers area is very clean. I would stay again for overnight. We flooded at our trailer during heavy rains. - sherry whorton
Apr 2012 - $27.00
We have stayed at this park numerous times. Per the last reviews it is only 1/4 mile from I 20 but great convenience. The restrooms, laundry are very clean, the staff are very friendly. Good pull through sites. The only "small" concern is their dog area has a lot of stickers/cockerburs which tend to get all over the dogs but lots of room for the dogs. Wish this small concern could be addressed. But love this small/family owned camp area. - Dixie Darling
Jan 2017 - $28.00
Easy access, sites a bit unlevel for long motor homes but are workable. Roads are a bit rough. Utilities good with reliable electric and good water pressure. 30 sites total, 10 pull throughs. Corral available for horses. Very nice club house/meeting hall with kitchen and rear deck, bathrooms/showers, and laundry. We found it difficult to walk our small dogs due to many residents allowing their large dogs to run loose (not vicious but quite intimidating), but otherwise enjoyed our stay. - AFChap
