2 RV Parks near Comstock, Texas
Dec 2018 - $30.00
First thing to know is, approaching from the north, the park is very poorly signed. The entrance is a couple of miles past the Pecos river bridge, but the sign is not the usual large state park format, and by the time you see it, at 60+ MPH in a big rig, you are not going to make the entrance. We waited for the unhelpful park employee to eventually shuffle out of her office hideaway to check us in. Later, visiting the excellent museum/interpretive center, we noted other visitors having the same experience. One was peering around the counter, asking if anyone was there. The park itself is lovely, though a bit buggy. Showers were modern, but cobwebs looked like they had been there forever. We would probably not stay here again. - nobghuri

Great park with a bit of hiking and biking available. It is far from any resources; so make sure you have everything before you get here. Each morning we saw a few deer while walking. Everything was great about the campground except the fact that they don't have Verizon service and the available WiFi was extremely poor for our use. - Wandering With Us
Dec 2017 - $20.00
Not the most level of sites, but clean. Staff here was wonderful and very accommodating to our arriving early. Great hiking opportunities around. Showers looked like a cross between a prison shower and a high school shower, but literally had the best water pressure and temp control I have seen in a while. Park is literally 40+ miles to the nearest grocery store/gas station, so be prepared. But be awed by the sunsets, sunrises and outdoor experience. - td14

This is the worst campground I've stayed at. Advertise cable tv and free wi-fi, there is neither. Train tracks right along side the campground and they run all night. No staff anywhere around. Owners leave two dogs outside in fenced area most of day and night and they bark a lot. Boondocking in the desert is preferable to here! - Dfly19
Feb 2017 - $25.00
Good for an overnite going east or west. Gravel with a few shade trees. Easy pull thru. Verizon 3G okay. Shower and bathroom a little funky but serviceable. Trains in the back and semis in front could make for noisy stay but cold enough to keep windows closed. Would stay again if traveling through. - smitty12
Sep 2016 - $25.00
The sites are gravel, fairly level 2 or 3 campers in the park. OK for overnite, but we were disappointed in the service and the fact that showers are $3 extra, filling your water tank, $10 and the list goes on. Wifi was free, but it didn't work. Will stay at the nearby Walmart next time. - Gordon W
