2 Parks near Comstock, Texas
May 2016 - $20.00
We spent one night here on our way to West Texas. It was a nice surprise. We had a large water/electric pull-through on top of a hill. This made for great views and cool breezes. The real surprise was decent WiFi at our site (we were near a bathhouse where the WiFi antenna was located). Most Texas SPs do without WiFi and we not only had a decent signal but it was fairly speedy. Cell service was very spotty, but a short hike up to the top of the hill and it worked. The night sky here was amazing and other than Highway 90 a few miles in the distance quite quiet too. The bathrooms were a bit old and worn but mostly clean.
We'll be back here next time we're anywhere close. - Creativepart
Feb 2016 - $20.00
We loved our stay here. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have a sewer hook-up so we could stay longer. We stayed in a very spacious W/E site on the ridge with expansive views in every direction. Our site was across from the bath house, making it very convenient to use the shower facilities. The three-star for cleanliness is for the bath house. Can't speak to the toilets, but the showers at a minimum looked dingy ... perhaps because of the dim lighting. They were decent enough to use. The shower area, with two stalls would benefit from the addition of two curtains to give the occupants more privacy in the changing area ... very odd set up. We would definitely stay here again. Wi-fi available near the bath house and at the Visitor Center. - 22Trvl

Beautiful area in which to camp, hike and bike.
No cell phone service on Verizon, plus if you do connect they think you are in Mexico. - jnateg
Sep 2016 - $25.00
The sites are gravel, fairly level 2 or 3 campers in the park. OK for overnite, but we were disappointed in the service and the fact that showers are $3 extra, filling your water tank, $10 and the list goes on. Wifi was free, but it didn't work. Will stay at the nearby Walmart next time. - Gordon W
Jan 2015 - $30.00
The park is small but has plenty of room to maneuver a big rig. The sites are gravel with shade trees and nice landscaping in the park. The rate is reasonable considering what we paid in other Texas parks. Very easy access to the highway but not much traffic noise. We would stay here again. - blz
