We stayed in site #10, might have been the longest back in site I've ever had. This site backs up to the river. It was probably close to a mile to walk down to the lake from our site, but it was a great place to walk the dogs. The sites were very spacious. They had a nice laundry: $2/load and $1 to dry. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were in a pull through site, but others in our group used back in sites. They were level, gravel sites. The area we were in was near a creek and surrounded by trees with lots of room for outdoor games and social times. The clubhouse was clean and neat with a standard home-style kitchen. There was a very large covered patio with numerous grills available for us to use. The staff was very nice. The manager of the ranch, on which this park is located, came by nightly to check on us and even took a bunch of us on a tour of the ranch. I would heartily recommend this park as a getaway place for anyone who just wants to relax. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are sites near the front of the park which were obviously designed to accommodate the oil field workers from recent years. Ask for the sites in the back, with the trees.

Overall Rating:

This is a great campground right on a river with easy access to fishing. There's a great clubhouse with lots of games, a full kitchen, and a huge patio with several grills that overlooks the river. This campground is located on a working ranch that also has exotic animals (NOT used for hunting) so besides cattle we even saw some zebras! Staff were super friendly and the ranch foreman stopped by daily to make sure everything was working or if we needed anything. He even sat around the fire with us. The only unfortunate thing is the location of this campground. It is out in the middle of nowhere. But the night skies were beautiful. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

The entrance to the park creeps up on you. Some of friends' GPSs were a little off on where the entrance was.

Crystal City is a small town so not much happening there. The rv park is outside of town in a rural environment. We enjoyed watching the deer and watching the river. Thanks again !!

Overall Rating:

The park is beautiful and quiet as can be. It is a wonderful place to spend the night, or even a week I imagine. there is plenty of wild life to watch, and after dark, it is totally quiet! Only downside was that our cable was all fuzz and since we were only staying one night, not really worth trying to string new cable. Also the Tengo wi-fi never did come in, although we tried several times. We didn't call the office about that part, again, as we were only here one night, we didn't care. Would definitely come here again! We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice long sites with lots of grass around. Much nicer than other parks in the oilfields. Large clubhouse with TV, billiards, gym, books, picnic tables, BBQs, kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms with showers. Lots of deer around. Has ponds and river access with fishing. Very nice staff who understand the needs of oilfield gate guards. Country setting but close to town. Some RV parts in office. Hiking trail is easy and well shaded though it needs some maintenance. Second laundry facility with change machine up front. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Good park for walking. Checkout the Popeye statues in town at City Hall and across from the HEB. Crystal City hosts the Spinach festival every year. Watch the curve between Crystal City and the RV park as it is sharp and dangerous if you go too fast.

This is a country park that near a river and has ponds for fishing. We found it to be a really nice well maintained park. It has paved interior roads and paved sites with grass between. It is a long park with several open areas. There is a very nice club house. Most of the sites are back-ins with a few pull though. We would stay at this park again. This park had exceptional laundry, huge concrete slab for parking. lakes with fishing and you keep them. Great club room, trees and quiet. Loved it. The big problem was location. Great getaway and the staff was very nice and friendly there. Will be back for sure. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff, quiet location. Large pond where we caught two bass. Two deer were feeding across the pond. Bathrooms were clean and maintained. This is a long park, not sure, but seems like 1/4 mile long. Nice place to stay. Some long term sites, but quite nice overall. We stayed here with friends. This campground is huge with 109 full hookup sites some sites are shaded riverfront sites with fire pits. They have laundry, satellite RV available, pets welcome, free fishing, canoeing and paddleboat, free internet, and cable. There are some ponds surrounding the campground and nearby is a clubhouse with tables for pingpong, shuffleboard, pool and a lot more. It is rare in this part of TX to see trees, shade and water. There is a casino, shopping and golf near by. If you are headed west or east this is a good stopover. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Rate reflects monthly winter rate. Electric service rate was reasonable. This is a small park along the Nueces River outside Crystal City. The park was nearly full all winter. Only a few hardy souls stay here in the summer heat. The park road is good and sites are well-spaced. The activity center is large with a huge patio. It is well-kept, as are the attached laundry, bathroom/showers, and workout room, which has several machines and a TV. Activities were resident-lead, with new things to do each week. The park is very nicely maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I can't say enough about the workcampers and maintenance staff. They do a great job. Most of the sites are on the river and fish were caught almost daily. The pond was down due to drought but the winter rains helped a bit. There is a very large, fenced, leash-free area for dogs. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice setting within a cattle ranch. All backins are next to the Nueces River under large trees. Pull Throughs are large and face the pond (they call it lake). We were able to watch wildlife through our windshield every morning and evening. Park is clean, but a little run down. Management does not seem to care much. Very quiet and in the middle of nowhere. We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.
