We stayed here twice and could not ask for a better experience. The Park is truly "big rig" friendly, easy in and easy out, diesel right down the road in Dalhart. We stayed in site #38 the first time and about two weeks later we assigned site #7, both very nice. We only stayed one night each time but it would be a nice place to spend a few days. The host were very nice, the park was clean, and we plan to stay here again the next time we are near Dalhart. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Truck stop for diesel not too far away.

Stay in the spots to the right of the drive coming in to the park. Level, good hook ups. Easy access. Town a work in progress. Should be better in a year or so. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much. We did visit the XIT museum and enjoyed it a lot.

This park is definitely big rig friendly. It is not fancy but their streets and lots are very spacious with few trees to manuever around. The only reason I did not rate it a 10 was the fact that the internet was pretty much non-existant but we would stay here again. We stayed here in a 45 motorhome with a tow. A lot of RV parks identify themselves as big rig friendly. This is an RV park that can honestly claim that. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dalhart is at the intersection of four very big highways and is crowded and busy. Going East on US54 to the Corral RV Park you'll be in an industrial and heavy business zone and running alongside a railroad yard sounds terrible, but wait . As soon as you turn into the park, through an arch no less, it all changes. Only thing missing is music, the park is clean and "neat as a pin". The office registration was easy and the people very nice. This is a big park with blacktop roads and gravel sites. There are distinct sections: permanents have grass yards and fences; long term transients have roads and sidewalks and bigger sites; overnight travelers have about 20 spaces reserved every night all gravel, very long, with full hookups, and a little closer but not difficult. Wi-Fi was good and cable TV was also clear with a good selection.
What is amazing is how clean, how neat, and above all how organized this park is. There are Custom-Combiners here as well as Contract Harvesters and power line workers. If you have never seen a 53' Bunk-Room trailer it is jaw dropping. Everything fits in its niche and no one is out of place.
No mess or noise, no rowdies sitting about, every one on their best manners. Individual sites are always picked up. Plenty of dumpsters every where you look. A park employee can often be seen just riding the streets in a golf cart. You are never uncomfortable in this park.
There is grass in the common areas like the dog walk, around the bathrooms, and in the little kiddies park with some play equipment also at the tent sites. At night the park is better lit than your street at home with street lights as well as walk-way lights and lights around the perimeter.
The bathrooms are surprisingly small with two buildings each with a men's bathroom and a women's bathroom each with its own shower. So it is one person at a time. But very clean and comfortable.
There is some road and RR noise, but this is a safe and secure night off the road. So Relax! We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a large clean park with Full hookups and easy in and out. The only down side was the noise it is a very busy park on the crossroads of the north Texas panhandle. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

It's the only thing in the area so here we had to stay. I'm surprised it has such a high rating. It's just a concrete and gravel lot with a few trees and very little in the way of amenities. Very friendly staff who are third generation running it. Tiny bathrooms and laundry which function but only just. The train noise went all through the night. Wouldn't stay again. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

I think the reason this place gets such high marks is that it is so unexpected to find a little oasis in the middle of a post apocolyptic wasteland. LOL.
It is actually a nice little park with decent facilities and nice people who try to keep everything neat and clean and working well. Sites, utilities, cable and wifi all work well. This is not a vacation spot..but a good place to relax after a long day on the road. The trains weren't too bothersome at night but there is a full time low diesel rumble some might not be comfortable with. We slept well and would come again. Nice couple running the place. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

We overnighted at Corral RV Park in site 6 (water, 50A electric and sewer). Good for overnight or if visiting Dalhart. Staff was friendly. Park was clean. Has section just for overnight campers. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is good spot for a quick overnight. The majority of the park surface is gravel that is kept in good condition. There is a large, grassy area with a picnic table and some cute swings for patrons to enjoy. All this overlooks a playground that children could enjoy. Thought has been put into making this area very appealing. Our satellite TV worked well and there is also cable available for a slight charge. The only con was that the park was extremely tight as it sold out the night we were there. A rig pulled in the spot next to us overnight, parking about 6 inches away from us after they put out their slides. They were parked in such a way that we couldn't pull out of our pull through space until after they left in the morning. It all worked itself out, just causing a slight delay. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night on our way to Colorado. We had a pull through site that was level but very close. The owners were very nice. We didn't hear any of the trains going through at night. The Wifi was good. We would stay again passing through. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park was nice, easy to get into our site with a 40 foot motor home. We stayed here twice, once going to Colorado and then on the way back to West Texas. Would stay here again. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Convenient to cross country travel but would stay here longer if desired.

The park is right across from the railroad. The sights were all grave,l no picnic table or fire ring. They did have cable hookup and a nice play area. We only stayed one night and had to leave early the next morning. I guess someone didnt like that because we had coffee thrown on our truck. We stayed in a travel trailer. We had to check in on a Sunday so the office was closed. They had envelopes to fill out and put cash our check and a drop box. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice wide, level spaces on gravel. Good 50amp. Good TangoNet WiFi. Stayed one night while traveling from Kansas. Very pleasant young man, grandson of founders. Trying hard to have a good place to stop.

Will stay again. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Motorhome.

All gravel roads and level sites. Easy in and out. Pictures do not do this park justice. Park has been in this family since 1955. You can tell the grandson and his wife really care about the family tradition. There are trains around everywhere in Dalhart, but we use a fan in the bedroom and did not hear a thing. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
