32 RV Parks near Denison, Texas
Aug 2016 - $13.00
We love Eisenhower. It has some really beautiful spots. We tend to always stay on the full hookup sites that have mostly pull-thru drives. The game wardens are great about keeping the peace. The roads are really nice and you can drive your bike easily on them. The trailers are well maintained for both bikes (in designated areas) and hikers. They have a sandy beach you can hike down to and it is beautiful.
One of the roads accessing the parks is currently walked out but it should be repaired soon.
If you pick out a spot while in the office and do not like it when you get there, just call the office number and ask to switch. They are more than accommodating. - LMTurner74
Jul 2016 - $23.00
Check-in was easy and the staff friendly. Roads are well marked and in good shape. Many sites are not level, so bring your blocks! Sites in our loop were spacious and ranged from fun sun to full shade. Aluminum picnic tables were very nice and had fire rings and lantern poles. Utility connections were convenient and worked well.
Campground was quiet and had lots of wildlife to watch including deer, rabbits, and roadrunners. There are hiking trails, fishing piers, and a swim cove, but be ready for some elevation change. There is an onsite marina with rentals.
There is wifi at the restrooms, but it does not reach to all the campsites. We did get Verizon cell coverage as well as 10 OTA TV stations.
Overall a nice place and we will stay here again when in the area. - BrentB
Mar 2016 - $23.00
Our visit to Eisenhower State Park was our very first experience at any State Park. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the park. Our site had full hook ups which I understand now is unusual for a state park. We loved the swimming area, the caves and the rock climbing. The trees around our site were beautiful as well. The sites are clean and spacious with a the fire pit and picnic table. We enjoyed time around the fire with very friendly Texans the first weeks and fell in love with Texas State Parks. My nine and seven-year-old enjoyed the Junior Ranger program and earned their first badges. The Eisenhower State Park book is different from other Texas SP Junior Ranger program books. It focuses on General Dwight D Eisenhower. We enjoyed learning about his life and legacy. We loved every minute of our 2 week stay. - FromJoy
Nov 2013 - $20.00
We drove the 5 1/2 miles off the highway, after a long travel day, to get to this campground, only to find out the only sites available were back-ins and the only one we fit into had the electrical box sealed. We walked the campground trying to find another spot, but none were long enough for us to leave our less than 32' 5th wheel attached to our truck. We also had to back up and re-enter some of the roads as they were all very narrow and lined with trees, so not much swing space. The sites were gravel and the majority of them were very uneven also. When I called this park earlier in the day, we were told they do not take reservations, it is first come first served. They told us to arrive and pick a spot. No one was at the entrance building when we arrived about 4:45 on a Sunday afternoon. After a half hour, we finally gave up, drove away and spent the night in the local Walmart - not my favorite place to spend the night at all - but there was nothing else! We will never come here again. - Kemptvillekids
Mar 2017 - $40.00
Mixed feelings about River View. Quoted one price on phone, charged more on arrival. Park seems to have been fitted in the terrain in awkward ways in some parts. Wi-fi is slow, water pressure with their mandated pressure reducer ($100 fine?) is dismal, and even the electricity at our site didn' handle loads very well. Scenery is nice, location is convenient and we had things to do in the area so our stay was OK, but seems over-priced. - Grumpier99
Oct 2016 - $25.00
A family owned and run park. They work hard to make a safe and enjoyable stay for all their guests. Restroom are air conditioned and heated. Speed limit 10mph and they enforce it, 3 strikes and you're out.
Large concrete pads, plenty of room for toads and nice paved patio. - Margaritaman
Oct 2016 - $40.00
Please be aware.... This place is not a $40 per night site, although the view is nice, no pool and many amenities which a $40/night camp does.. wifi so slow too. Was really disappointed when we arrived and asked for a site with trees, and their reply was "we put all of our Passport America customers here," where the sites were minimal to say the least, no trees. Also the park seemed to have a lot of RV lifers living there.
If you're gonna offer discounts for PPA and others the least you can do is not discriminate, otherwise just pull out of the program. - blackberryjack
Apr 2017 - $24.00
East Burns Run is a Corps of Engineers Park on Lake Texoma near Cartwright, Oklahoma. The campground has 44 RV sites, of those 19 are full hookup sites (sewer, 50/30/20 electric and water). The full hookups sites are spacious with large concrete pad, patio and covered picnic table. Most sites have great lake views but not good shade. The park has a boat ramp, swim area and playground. Very popular park, weekend reservations required well in advance. We were in site 35, right on the lake. Highly recommend. - drfife
May 2015 - $24.00
We were in full hook-up site #35. Great site right on the lake. Spacious site with great patio. - drfife
Jan 2014 - $12.00
The park is open in the winter with 30 amp power and one water faucet only. Great Lake Texoma location. Quiet. Several full hookup sites available with reservations March-September. - 11 Bounder
Apr 2017 - $24.00
Burns Run West is a Corps of Engineers park on Lake Texoma near Cartwright, OK. It has 105 water and electric sites, of which 21 are full hookup sites (sewer, 50/30/20 electric and wster). All full hookups sites are 80'+ pull throughs, with great shade, large patio with modern picnic tables, and utilities on concrete pads. Well designed sites. The other sites in the park are rough with 30A electric. Nice sand swim area, good bathroom/bathhouse facilities, playground and boat ramp. One of our favorite parks. - drfife
Jul 2016 - $10.00
For $10 a night, you will be hard pressed to find as nice a spot anywhere. We had full hookups and more than ample space between us and the next site. This was a pull-thru site that was probably about 80 ft long, level and concrete with an extended concrete patio. Lake Texhoma is beautiful and even with the hotter temps of July, it was comfortable thanks to the breeze coming off the lake. The park was clean, quiet and a much better value than the State Park just across the lake. - Quahog
Apr 2013 - $25.00
C loop was outstanding shady sites, very long with concrete patio level and very far from your neighbor. We will put this one on our go back list - Stujan

Dec 2011 - $10.00
A real jewel for only $10 per night..$13 for 50 amp. Sites are gravel, level, and enclosed with a small fence. Fantastic park for overnight or a short stay. Park is easy access just off Hwy 75. Colbert, OK is about 10 miles north of Denison, TX and close to WalMart, best buy etc. This park is one of the best values we have found. - rvbadger
Nov 2008 - $20.00
Our site was located directly behind the service center but there was little noise or traffic. The park was clean and trash picked up regularly. Friendly owners. Lots to see and do at neighboring cities within a few miles each direction. We downgraded because of a large fire ant colony at our site and smoking in the men's bathroom despite signs, although owners were aware of the long-term tenant(s) responsible. - Scrubbs1
Mar 2008 - $25.00
We saw 107 spaces, of which 30 are for overnight motorhome full hook ups. Separated by a couple hundred feet are the full time residents mostly in newer looking trailers. Overnight spaces are farthest from Hiway 75/69. Roads are all paved, pullouts are gravel except for 8 pull thrus on concrete slabs. Water, 50 amp service, sewage and cable TV are all available. Sites all looked pretty level and all were pull thrus. Hired help was friendly. Propane and dumpstation service was available. Behind an RV sales lot with parts and RV repair service available. Sales are mostly trailers, bumper pulls and fifth wheels. Signs said it was under new management. Sales help was attentive and friendly. All trailers were open and prices posted. Oak, pecan, redbud and other trees on the sites. Wild flowers were in bloom when we were there. Squirrels, robins, mocking birds, sparrows, doves and blackbirds gave that "country" feel. Pool (closed when we were there), playground, pet run, rec room and a lightly stocked store were found. Whole area was mowed including the pet run. With the air conditioner on low we couldn't hear the Hiway sounds or distant train whistles. No WiFi was available. Cell phone service was maximum strength so a laptop "air" card would work. We would definitely stay here again. - RVTravelerToo
Aug 2003 - $25.00
This is an excellent RV park, located near the Denison Dam of Lake Texoma just off US 69/75. We actually stayed there about 4 times, and we were treated real nice. Even the time we showed up without a reservation, when they had a club there, they still put us up in a site that didn't have cable tv, but we didn't care. We would definitely stay there again. Very well maintained small park. - Dodgeboy
Apr 2017 - $30.00
Not sure what to say. We stayed here overnight while passing through. We asked for a late check-in and it seemed like ownership didn't understand what that was. No info was laid out for us. We were not given any bathroom codes or wifi codes. They just took our info and gave us our site info via phone. Site was somewhat unlevel. All gravel. Park was unkempt with many older motorhomes and long-timers. We did not use facilities because we could not get in them. Didn't have wifi password so we couldn't use it either. Picnic table had spray paint all over it like it was a work bench for an artist. Overall, I am glad it was a quick stop. Next time however, I would go a few farther miles down the road and stay somewhere else. - mm1407
May 2015 - $40.00
Park in need of repair management poor .will not stop here again. - gorilla
Aug 2014 - $30.00
The former campground managers are no longer at the resort. It is under new management. New washers/dryers available and yes, you may wash all laundry except for maybe extra large comforters that just won't fit in the machines. The cable service and WiFi have been updated and upgraded. Excellent service. Quiet resort with clean restrooms and showers. Children and pets welcome at all times. Ping pong and games available in the resort game room. Free coffee served in the resort store. Lots of changes and a good place to stay. - Temp
Oct 2016 - $32.00
Thankfully our GPS brought us right to the park as there are several turns to make. There seems to by a number of construction workers in the park, they heading out to work before 6:30 AM. Our site was long and level gravel. I rated the park down because of non-existent WiFi. The cable TV requires a complicated hook-up with a box attached to the back of the TV. We were able to get one channel on our antenna. The park is nearly full so suggest reservations. Getting our motorhome to our site was difficult as people were parked in the road and our neighbor had their awning out which we had to get around. - Sup RV's
Sep 2016 - $38.00
Stayed overnight , second time we have been here. WiFi was good. Park was well kept. - Lafitte
Jul 2016 - $30.00
I had trouble getting hold of the office to make a reservation. I left a message which was never returned. I called three additional times on different days and someone answered the third time. She was very friendly and booked my reservation.
Our gravel pull-thru next to the office building was fairly level and easy to navigate. The ladies restroom was clean but old and not very pleasant. We were not troubled by any noise. The dumpster is located down the street a short block from the park, on the property of the adjacent RV dealership. - Pamela R.
