Friendly managers. They take care of this park. Nice & clean. Not very quiet though. Train nearby is nearly constant noise. No amenities but would stay here again. We camped at Quiet Texas R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

OK park for an overnight stay: overpriced even with PA for what you get. Easy access from the highway, site was level, utilities in good shape and easy to access but laid out for a trailer. Had to disconnect my tow and back up the rig to reach, and then the neighbor's sewer house was right outside my door. The site is long enough that I did not need to pull the rig ahead to hook up the tow. Additionally the sites are laid out in the wrong direction in relation to the utilities. So rather than just drive right in, you have to make a sharp turn. Whoops. Wifi is very good. A couple long term folks with clutter around their units. The park host said she is working on getting them to clean it up. Most of the sites are tidy enough. I would hardly call it "quiet" as the train runs two streets down late into the night. Might bother some. As noted, a good spot to stop for an overnight. We camped at Quiet Texas R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mexican restaurant with good food on the main street. Garner State Park is about forty minutes away.

The park seems to be new and is well maintained. We called about an hour out and were met by the campground host, who helped set up our trailer. They even put our awning in for us when we were away from the site and storm blew in. We only stayed 2 nights, but most of the other residents seem to be longer term. There is a fair amount of train traffic nearby, but we ran a fan all night and that seemed to cover it well enough. We would come back again. We camped at Quiet Texas R.V. Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is the "other Quiet Texas RV park" which is 12 miles west of the one in Hondo. Same ownership, same friendly service, and only a little more train noise than the other one. We have really enjoyed it. The park is not as modern as the one in Hondo, but we loved it all the same. Large sites, very friendly neighbors, excellent dining in the town. Very near to Hondo (12 miles), and Uvalde (34 miles) to the west. No restroom or laundry on site, but we are self contained so no problem. Two really good restaurants, not far to the hill country, what's not to like? We stayed here for 6 weeks and will stay there again. We camped at Quiet Texas R.V. Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It was clean BUT less than 2 blocks from the busiest train track we've ever seen or HEARD. Yes, they blow the horns ALL NIGHT LONG!!! We camped at Quiet Texas R.V. Park in a Travel Trailer.
