Great location with easy on/off highway if you need a overnight place to stay in Dumas. Free camping with 50amp electric hookups. Garbage, water, and dump station on site. There is a box available for donations. A really nice grassy playground area if you have kids, and nice open grass areas to let the dogs run on. Yes, there are trains passing through and some road noise, but for the price (free!), it can't be beat. We'll stay again if we pass through in the future. Very big rig friendly. Decent Verizon and ok AT&T coverage. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

For a place to overnight when passing through the Texas Panhandle, you won't a better value that Texhoma!! It's free!! Although leaving a donation in the box is great idea to keep this park available for us. It's just a parking lot with service pedestals, but it is 50amp!! There is no water hookups at the pedestals, but there is a faucet next to the dump station to fill your tank. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We came through on our way home from Colorado. The park was clean, quiet and there is a nice park for kids. We only heard a train once. We had a long rig of a pickup, camper and trailer with a jeep on it. We fit nicely. There is a sewer dump on site. Will definitely stay again. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here often as we go to CO quite a bit. Over the years the park has looked OK on occasion and sometimes not so good. Have never been afraid to stay. Yes, the trains come thru all night long but we don't mind. Ambiance! This is a donation park with water & dump available & electric sites. Can't beat it for a nice stop over. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stopped here in the past BUT now there are trains going by 300 ft away blowing their horns. Liked to have scared the heck out of all of us. We counted 4 trains last night....we will have to find another place to spend the night. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good place to park overnight while passing through Dumas. It is much better than the Walmart parking lot and you must be aware that the train comes by every 40 minutes and blows the horn. It is an asphalt parking with barricade protected electrical risers. We will continue stay there on our annual trips to Colorado. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

Came to Dumas,Tx for the Texas Tumbleweed 100 mile bike ride. The Texoma City Campground was a convenient place to park. Free overnight. The City asks that you only stay 24hrs, but we stayed 48 without any problem. The CG had about 12 RV's stay each night. This is your very basic parking lot "camping" with electric HU, free dump station and water available all for a donation. The CG is adjacent to train tracks so you get the whistle for about 15 seconds 3-5 times a day...no big deal. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Considering the price (donations), this was a convenient stop using the electricity that was offered. Loud trains but nice little park and walking area for the dogs. We would stop again if in the area. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

Loud Train Drove by and woke us up very very early. Not worth the stay. I would rather pay than stay here. There was alot of trash there too. It was kinda scary too We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

Great one night free stopover provided by City of Dumas, TX. Donations are accepted in the box by the "rules" sign near the water/dump stations. We had no problem filling our water tank and using dump station. However, two of the electric boxes were out of order when we were there. Nearby train traffic can be distracting, but did not really bother us in the night. During the summer this park is a popular stopover for Texans heading to/from the cool mountains of New Mexico & Colorado, so a mid-afternoon arrival might be in order during that period as it can get crowded. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It is what it is--electricity provided by the city in a quiet park. Our electrical hookup wouldn't provide the needed power for our 50 amp motorhome, so we ran our generator. It was a good quiet place to stay and we would stay there again if passing thru Dumas and needing a place to park overnight. It is much better than the Walmart parking lot. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice surprise, and we just accidentally came upon it. The City of Dumas has made this park available at no charge to travelers passing through. Although the website says "water" it didn't work. But, the price sure is right! You can make a donation if you'd like. The sites are all pull-through. There is nothing fancy here. It's adjacent to the city park and the sites are all on an asphalt parking lot. There are picnic areas in the park as well as BBQs and a playground for the kids. There is a sheltered picnic area as well. Our AT&T cell phones and mobile WiFi worked great. You are right next to the railroad tracks, but it hasn't bothered us at all, in fact the area was rather quiet. There is a dump site located on the east side of the parking lot next to a dumpster for your trash. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area. We talked to another camper nearby and he's been coming here at least once a year for the last eight years. I downgraded my rating to an "8" as there was no water available. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

The price is right! The town of Dumas provides a free park, complete with 30 amp and 50 amp hookups for RV travelers, just north of 87, just west of 287. There is also a threaded water spigot, as well as a dump station and trash bin. It is a level, paved lot, with about 25 electrical posts available. There is also a rest room with flush toilets and cold water sink. No showers or WiFi, but cellphone and over-air TV reception was good. The town asks that you limit your stay to one night, and there is a post for you to donate money towards upkeep of the park, but you are not required to leave a donation if you don't want to. A train line is quite close by, and VERY loud train whistles occurred until about 8 pm at night and beginning about 4:15 am the next morning, which might be a factor for some people. There were about 15 rigs in the park the midweek night I stayed. I gladly left a donation, because I would have felt guilty otherwise, since I was running my AC. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.

There is no charge for a 24 hour stay. There is a pay box for voluntary contributions. Water and a dump point is available. No drugs, minimal railroad noise. OK for what its there for - a night off the road. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Motorhome.
