Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $24.00
Great campground with easy access to San Antonio River Walk area (about 15 minutes away). Only complaint is that the sites were so close together that we were unable to sit out on the 'patio area' that was designated...it was UNDER the slide out of the next rig!
Staff very friendly; meals served some nights, wonderful Christmas dinner! We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $24.00
Park is clean, roads are gravel and sites are concrete. That said, we could not put our awning out because it would have hit the coach next to us. There was about 4.5 - 5 ft. between our coach slides. I'd refuse site F-13 if you plan to stay here although there seemed to be a lot of them close together. Fortunately we didn't have anyone on the other side of us. We had to put our front jacks as high as they would go to get level front to back. It made the coach so high a worker brought us a wooden pad to put under our portable step so we could get in and out. Obviously this is something they are aware of and must happen often. There is a patio but was not usable because of our and neighbors slides. No picnic table. No room. Wifi was not good but that could have been due to weather. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
Park is approx. 20 mins. south of San Antonio and getting to downtown is very easy.
Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $25.00
Very pleased with the park. Close to San Antonio. Not a large resort with clubhouse lots of activities so I didn't rate it higher. Lot of long term folks. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Close to San Antonio on I-37 minutes close to shopping and restaurants. Riverwalk, Alamo and downtown attractions 15-30 mins depending on traffic. Very big park. Spots are close together but level and paved. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
All the shopping and dining you could want within minutes on SE Military Dr and I-37.
The park is very handy to San Antonio. The laundry was nice but no laundry sink. Restaurants close by so that was good. The resort also had dinners which were very nice. Very friendly park. There are a lot of long term people there. The other side of the lake was very spacious. If you were a transient you had no room and could not put your awning out! Sitting outside was out and not a good space to grill. I tried it once! I would rate the park a 4 if there was space but a 3 is more reasonable for our space. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
Very handy to travel to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Toms had good burgers but the plates looked great.
Easy access from freeway, clean and excellent staff. Close to San Antonio. Paved pads and gravel roads. Nice grass in between parking spaces. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $24.00
The park had NO wi-fi even in the office. The site was on the end so that made it not feel so sandwiched in. Not exactly a destination campground in my opinion. We used it was home base to drive into San Antonio to see the Riverwalk and other local attractions. It was not a far drive and seemed to be in the right location as far as traffic flow. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
The site was on the end and that was very nice and open.
Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $42.00
Staff was friendly and helpful. The park is very large and mostly full of monthly tenants. Overnight guests are parked in the F row behind the office. These sites are extremely tight. If you and your neighbor both have slides you can not walk between the units. The sites were semi-level. Road noise is very loud. The rest rooms were filthy. Due to the high cost of the site, I have rated the park poor. You should expect a much better experience for the price. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a PA park close to San Antonio. The sites are fairly nice just a little close together. The staff was nice and they keep the park well maintained. All the facilities were clean with lots of amenities. Will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Stayed one night on our way down to the Rio Grande Valley. Good access to the interstate but no extras beyond point. Power was the biggest problem where we could only run 1 A/C using 50 amp and this was also with our refidge on gas. Rates reflect PPA discount. Would not stay again at this park. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $22.00
Sites are close together 2 ft between slide outs. Sites not level, front wheels off ground to level. Concrete pads. Quite park but I did notice a few dogs running loose in the park. The manager was nice. I never could get the WiFi to work. They had a tech working on it a couple of times, no go. Close to freeway but we were towards the middle and did not hear it inside. I would stay here again. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $24.00
The sites are very narrow, and it was difficult to fit our 43’ rig onto the concrete pad. We had to have one set of wheels off the pad. We looked in the washroom/shower combinations and decided not to use them as they were very old and looked awful. The internet was free, but we were not able to connect to the internet for 2 days. We were told at the office there wasn’t a problem with their internet, and finally on the 3rd day we got on and it was okay after that. Very nice staff and other RV’ers here were very friendly. We went for one of their park dinners and karaoke after and a breakfast put on by the park. There are many oil workers that live there. The laundry room on Sunday was very busy, wrong day for us to go, but the machines worked well. Very quiet park as most of the people are gone for the day and asleep at night. There was no noise from the highway. The park is not very close to anything, but within driving distance to the Alamo, River Walk, etc. We would definitely stay here again, especially as they honor PA for unlimited time. The price reflects PA rate. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $24.00
The rate paid was with the PA discount. The park is large and clean. The sites are so close together we couldn't put out our awning. The WiFi was terrible. Laundry facilities were large with plenty of machines. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $24.00
This RV park was okay for a couple of nights but definitely doesn't equate to pictures on internet. Men's showers behind the office were out of service. Only other men's room was across the pond there. Women's showers were in need of replacement; they were a mess to look at. Laundry was clean, but I got up early to do laundry because of the amount of people living there and working in the area. They do have a decent size area for the dog run. It was close for shopping, about 4 miles to Walmart and other stores, at exit 135. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $23.00
Very small spaces ! unlevel pads, pot holes in the roads muddy, Designed for 1960 model 13 foot trailers. Wi-Fi is a joke. Electric pedestal is a problem, kept tripping breaker, with only a coffee pot and TV on. Never again!! The rate was Passport America rate. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
