This is a "Stop Over" campground because Fort Stockton is in the middle of no where. This is the best in the area because we saw the others while being around town. We were there two days and I was amazed at the amount of campers in and out. It is all gravel with a few potholes down the entrance road but, use good sense. Staff was great and courteous - made sure we got a discount - and warned us about the winds - don't leave your awnings out or antenna up if you are going to be away from your camper for awhile. There are long terms located in a separate area, and our site was easy in and out pull thru - good water pressure and the WiFi worked pretty good. There is a great fenced in dog area for the dogs to run free, great swimming pool, and a really cool little resturaunt with great and reasonable food. We would stay here again- We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great 'overnighter' for us. Easy off and on US 10 and access to fuel in town. Picnic table seat was warped, but we didn't mind. The breeze was quite good after a long hot day on the road. Check out their cafe. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very easy on off the highway with little highway noise. Our site wasn't quite level and the picnic table was warped, as were a number of them. It was a good location for sight seeing. Spent a week here and could've done less. The sewer connection was low to the ground and hard to connect. The dog park was big with some grass. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Herb. Phones were answered promptly. $36 was rate with Good Sams. Roadrunner Cafe served a great chicken fried steak, and for kids or lighter appetites there is a smaller portion. Saved our biscuits and half of the regular portion chicken fried steak and enjoyed it again for breakfast! It was an overnight stop. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Probably as good as it gets in Ft. Stockton area. I was met in the drive and led to my site, told to check in at the office when I was ready. Friendly folks and lots of smiles. Our pull-through was long enough we didn't have to unhook the toad from our 40-ft MH. Site spacing is good. There are small trees on many sites, big enough to give a little shade but not too big to get in the way. It is easy in and out. Verizon cell and internet worked. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a favorite quaint RV park and I've stayed here numerous times over the years. As RVing has gotten more popular, they have expanded with big rig sites, upgraded wifi to today's RVer needs, etc. Sites include cable and wifi. The little Roadrunner Cafe onsite is a great place for some Mom & Pop style cooking after a day on the road. Was not disappointed on this trip as it's gotten bigger and better than my last stay. Will definitely come again - and again, and again! We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As you can tell from the address this used to be a KOA. Not sure why it's no longer one but it's KOA's loss. Fort Stockton is a historic town with museums, etc. all about the area and the "taming of west Texas". It's also a major energy Hub in west Texas with lots of info about energy - from oil/gas to wind farms to solar. Very interesting place to check out!

Fairly large park with a lot of full-timers but they are off to one section of the park. Our site was fine; mostly level but we were overnighting so didn't unhook. Wifi was one of the best we've had. They have a restaurant on site which was good home cooking. Pretty bumpy road going in but the park roads are fine. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very helpful and pleasant check in staff. Park is easy to navigate, and utilities are good. Cable tv and internet worked adequately. Restaurant on site, with decent meals and good service. Will stay here again. Made reservations a day in advance, and the park did nearly fill up. Would probably recommend reservations in the future. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The place is nothing special but it offers decently spaced pull through sites that are long enough that we didn't have to unhook the toad for our overnight stay. None of the sites look very level. Certainly ours (site 50) wasn't, but somehow we managed to get ourselves situated well enough that we didn't have to bring down the jacks. What this place has going for it is convenience to the interstate. But it's far enough away that we did not hear the traffic. Our site overlooked the road that comes off Warnock and leads to the RV park. Dusty, but easy exit from the pull-through site without maneuvering. One downside to being here ... T-Mobile was just one bar LTE ... don't know about the other carriers. The good news - there is free wi-fi ... wide open network with very strong signal strength. Also on the technology front, cable TV is available (included in the rate) for those who don't have satellite reception. FSRVP offers food, too - the Roadrunner Café is open for breakfast and supper. We did not eat at the cafe but those who don't want to cook after a day of driving might want to take advantage of it. We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this park many times over the years - ever since it was a KOA. We always receive good service, and the amenities are always in good working order. The showers are worn but clean and comfortable. There is a separate room with a toilet, sink, and shower for each person. Our dogs really enjoy the dog park. We rarely make reservations, except around holiday weekends. This visit, though, we almost did not get a spot. When checking in, we were told that we were getting the last overnight spot available. Because of oil & gas activity in the area, this RV park is currently the only one in Fort Stockton that still has overnight spots. I would recommend calling a couple days in advance if you plan to stop here. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Truck Camper.

The park was very busy and they managed to find us a space, I should have made reservations. Excellent friendly service. Other campers said this is one of their favorite campgrounds but reservations are a must. Great food at a reasonable price in their cafe. We will return. We had reservations and as soon as we pulled into the park, we were met by an escort, who showed us to our site. The escort said to check in at the office, when we got settled. The connections were all together, so we were able to get connected easy enough. Satellite and cable TV worked well, as did the Wi-Fi, and our AT&T cell phones. When we checked in, we got a packet which included the menu for the on-site café, which is right next to the office. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best that west Texas has to offer. Some sites have shade from mature trees, utilities worked well, including wifi. Small restaurant on site offers breakfast and dinner options. Good food at reasonable prices. Easy access for even large rigs. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.
