We stayed for 2 nights passing through this long stretch of nothing TX. It was a gem in the rough. The staff when we arrived were so friendly and helpful.

The best is they have a nice little cafe on the premises. We had dinner there: home made bisquits were out of this world. The chicken fried steak was good also. It is a very small and simple place and meals take a while (20+ min after ordering) to cook as it is home cooking and they were very busy on a Friday night.

We don't have a dog but noticed they had a very large dog park. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great stop over. Had planned on staying for several days and were given a back-in site. We had a change of plans and only stayed one night. Very nice park with all of the amenities you could want for. A special perk was a restaurant on site!! We were greeted and escorted to our site and told to go check in at our leisure. Very friendly staff and apologized to us that if they knew we were only there for 1 night we could have had a pull thru so we didn't have to unhook. My only point about not rating at a 10 was the dust on the site. It is west Texas and I realize that is part of the area. Gravel would be better on the entire site rather than parking the rig on gravel and then having dirt for the outside area of the rig. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My only tip would be do NOT take 285 from the New Mexico Border to Pecos Texas. All oil rigs; lots of dust and many, many trucks and the roads are horrible.

Nothing fancy, but everything you need: roomy spaces, level spaces, good utility service with well-placed location. Excellent Wi-Fi, cable tv (didn't use), restaurant on site, easy on and off I-10. Worth the money and time spent. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

stayed 1 night in a pull thru site. Cable and wi-fi very good, hookups were well placed, sadly we could not connect water due to the cold temps. We did not use any of the facilities so cannot comment on them. Temp was 26 degrees when we got there, with the wind chill felt like 9, Management was very accommodating, would stay here again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A nice place, good value. Ft. Stockton is an old town in the middle of the Texas desert. Most of the town is old, and shabby, this place was a big improvement over previous stays in Ft Stockton. They have a nice cafe on site, good food. We will stay again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pretty basic but a good place to rest your head. Clean, neat, room enough to pull in and unhook for the night. Feels safe. It's WINDY here. Mostly all the time. Don't leave your awning up or your door unhitched. Friendly folks at check in. Didn't use bathrooms. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice big Park. Lots of pull throughs so you can stay hooked up to your toad. West Texas parks are not in the prettiest part of the country and typical gravel and some grass spots. Spots are arranged so that you do have some privacy. Good restaurant and GREAT DOG PARK that is actually grass.. Will definitely stay here again. Check in was easy and people were great. We greatly appreciated the hospitality we experienced here. We arrived very early about 13:00 because the winds across 10 were really picking up as the temp was dropping. A quick check of RV parky showed there was not a lot of choices traveling East so we picked this place out of the blue. By 17:00 the park was completely full. We will remember this because this will be our go to spot as we cross Texas on 10 in the future. Easy in and out. Nice clean amenities. We did not go to the restaurant because it didn't fit our schedule but I do love when an eatery is associated with an RV park. It is so nice to have a hearty breakfast with out the mess in the RV. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park for the area; lots of overnighters though we stayed 4 nights and there are many permanents in other areas of the park; utilities good, incl. w-fi; nice big dog play area; interesting things to see in the area; on-site cafe for breakfast and dinner was good; I-10 close but noise not a problem. Definitely would stay here again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had been going pretty hard, so decided to take a few nights here. Being really the only place to stay between San Antonio and El Paso, every day from mid-afternoon to dusk, coach after coach rolled in. It was like a local RV show! Most were there to eat and sleep, so the whole thing ran in reverse in the morning.

The park is desert gravel, but site are well laid out, and most have a tree or shrubs. Very nicely done actually. Services were fine, and WIFI was absolutely excellent. Office staff were not just pleasant and helpful, but actually eager to help. Showers deserve special mention. They are spacious, clean, etc. But the real plus is that the park did not cheap out, and installed quality faucets and rain barrel heads. It make the difference between just getting cleaned up, and actually enjoying a nice shower.

For a place that pretty much has the captive desert halfway market in the bag, this place still demonstrates a real commitment to providing a quality stay. Oh BTW, try breakfast in the Roadrunner Cafe. A real "Texas" size meal, and very good. Best pancakes I've ever had. (And could not finish.) We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.
