Very nice grounds. Plenty of room and kept clean. Easy to park. There were a good mix of ages and it was quiet at night. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Easy in/out from highway. Interior roads well maintained and easily navigable. Long pull-through sites. We wouldn't have had to unhook the toad except we were staying for several days to explore the area. Our site had larger than usual gravel stones with wooden borders that helped keep the gravel contained. Some sites had trees for shade but we requested an open site so we could get satellite. The Wi-Fi was strong and worked well our entire stay. We would definitely return. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit Grape Creek winery if you go to any of the local wineries. Don't go to the Catfish Haven restaurant. The German Bakery and Restaurant had good German sausages.

Be advised that if you are expecting the Internet or Cable services to work, you will be unhappy. Cable was virtually unusable for 4 days, as was the internet. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Frederickburg and the wildflowers north of the city were spectacular. Great, but expensive shopping. Great restaurants. Great people.

I had a "premium" lot which was very nicely located with nice scenery but it was gravel (remember the $45) and the WiFi was nonexistent. I asked about the WiFi and was told there were probably a lot of people on line. The lower premium lots were nice and level but the other sites were not MH friendly. Lots of tires off the ground. TT and 5th wheels no problem. A friendly place just over priced but it is a KOA. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring your own "hot" spot. See the hill country.

Nice spread out KOA. Quite a few trees in the park provide some shade. Our site was long and wide enough for our motorhome and towed vehicle with some to spare. Our site was level enough, I did see a site here and there that had some blocks up to level up tires. Wifi was spotty on our end, but phone service was fine and I have unlimited data; additionally quite a few local and national cable channels to choose from as well. The price is a little high but not bad. Everything was kept up, showers, grounds, etc. Seems like over the last 10 years everyone that likes grapes has opened a winery in or around Fredericksburg. Staying at this KOA puts you right in the middle of them, not to mention just a few miles from Lukenbach. We visited a few wineries and a distillery, the distillery was way more interesting. Lots to do in downtown, shopping, browsing, restaurants, or just people watching. Lazy days are right here. We'll be back. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Fredericksburg shopping and eating. Wineries everywhere. Museums as well.

They have you sign a contract that if anyone sees your dog poop and you don't clean it up, they will charge a clean up fee no questions asked. I've never see this before in all the 50-100 KOA's we've been to. The park is nice, with fairly level gravel sites (I've seen more level). The price was good. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The rules of over 5 MPH and you get kicked out of the place and the "Poop law", that most anyone could lie about and they could make a easy $20 dollars is odd at best. And no I didn't have a problem with either of this issues.

Our site was large, with a huge speading live oak tree and a little lawn for our dogs. The staff was very courteous; when we arrived our campsite wasn't available because the previous occupant had a slideout malfunction. They put us in another site temporarily and helped them resolve the warrantly issue and get them on their way, while checking with us to keep us apprised of the situation. For a KOA this place was roomy. We are 50+ year old empty nesters, but did not notice any "anti-child" issues. There were plenty of kids there having a great time and we were happy to see it. The rules about no unaccompanied minors and all children needing to be at their campsites after sunset is just plain common sense, especially with large RVs arriving after dark. Very dog friendly; our prissy greyhound even approved of the accomodations! We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Avoid Fredericksburg on weekends/holidays/Spring Break; it has become unbelievably congested now. Having lived in Germany for 6 years, my experience is that the German restaurants in town are not very authentic if you stray away from the wurst menus, but Fredericksburg does its wurst very well! Also, if you want to climb Enchanted Rock go early in the morning. The park closes when its parking lot fills, and you will be stuck waiting on that ranch road.

Very good KOA with exceptionally clean bathrooms and good functioning utilities. The campground has a nice layout and feels spacious. The WiFi works good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, there is a nice fenced-in dog run. Some longhorn cattle and chickens add interest. Great place to stay in the Hill Country right on US 290 but far enough away to eliminate a road noise problem. We will stay here again. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fredericksburg has some great wineries, excellent restaurants (good German food) and interesting historic sites. Be sure to check out the Alamo Springs Cafe, rated as serving the best burgers in Texas. Becker Winery has some good wines at reasonable prices and William & Chris vineyards feature high quality wines.

Park is conveniently located about 6 miles east of Fredericksburg on 290. Do not rely on GPS. Park staff is friendly and escort you to the site. Park has a clean basic pool. Pet area is clean and fenced in. Wi-Fi worked fine. Cable was a bit fuzzy but still a nice bonus for a camper who usually watches via antenna. Park is a great value for the $. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

We spent five nights in this nice, quiet park on the outskirts of Fredericksburg. Our rate reflects a 10 percent discount provided by the KOA card. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet the park is considering the proximity to Hwy 290. We were at the back of the park and I'm sure that helped. Wi-Fi is free and worked well. The park is well kept. We have a 42 ft. rig and had no problem traveling to or from our site. We enjoyed our stay and will return again. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

As older adults not traveling with children the campsite was very quiet and enjoyable. We stayed during the Easter holiday. On Sunday the office and club house were closed; no activities were scheduled during this weekend. The restrooms were all very clean. The park was well maintained, trees were well trimmed. We camped in L04; no issues pulling in or out, plenty of room between campsite. Plenty of room for two vehicles and a 35' fifth wheel. Security patrolled the area very well. The washroom was well maintained and clean. The fenced in dog area was nice, and they provided dog pick up bags there and in several other areas in the park. There were rules posted but nothing to extreme. Pool was closed - still too cool. Would stay here again. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has its pluses and its minuses. On the plus side, I was able to reserve two sites during busy Spring Break week, in an "RV buddy" area where RV doors and picnic areas face each other. Second, when I arrived at 7 PM, my reservation papers were easily accessible, and a security team member promptly showed up to escort us to our site. Finally, when phoned, he responded quickly with an adapter plug for our 30 amp hookup. On the negative side, however, I was shocked to read the "Rules for Children" which require adults accompany children at all times, that children be in their sites by dusk, that they not walk on anybody else's site, and concludes with "keep in mind that other guests may not be interested in your children's presence, which is their right." Unfortunately, this kind of language invites a sense of entitlement on the part of the older, permanent guests at this KOA facility. One of them barked at my daughter-in-law because, although she was there first, she had filled up all 4 of the washing machines in the laundromat. Because this campsite is expensive (for a party of 6 in each of two motorhome sites), and is not children friendly, I will not stay here again. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Very clean, well patrolled. Quiet. No live music while we were there (too cold, in the 50s?). The pool was closed. Host / owner was very nice. Located just off the highway so expect some road noise. Kids 4+ cost more. Pet friendly. Cabins available, laundry available. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

We really like this park and have stayed here several times in the past and this last stay was no exception. The check in procedure was quick and easy; the gentleman checking us in was very friendly. We were led to our site even though I knew how to get there. Our site was H4 and it is a wonderful site, plenty big enough for our 40 ft fifth-wheel and tons of space between you and your closest neighbor. Lots and lots of shade or not depending what you require. Wi-Fi worked very well. Plenty of places to walk the doggies plus a fenced dogie play ground. We did not use the rest rooms, showers or laundry so cannot comment on them, the pool was not filled but it was still a bit early. One of the best traits of this park is the enforcement of park rules, there was a motorcycle rally in town and lots of bikers in the park but quite time was quite time and that was it. Some people say there is a new RV park in Fredericksburg that is better but we'll be coming back here. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved this park. It is located a few miles from downtown Fredericksburg at the intersection with the road to Luckenbach. The campsites are scattered around a forested area with large trees. The sites are a little hard to find but the park provides an escort. We stayed a extra night because of the weather and had to change sites. Unbeknownst to us there was a motorcycle rally in Luckenback during our stay but the riders were very considerate and no problem. Great dog park - lots of squirrels. The Wi-Fi was a little slow at times but our Sprint 3G worked fine. We wished we could have stayed longer and looking forward to coming back when the weather is a little warmer. We camped at Frederickburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.
