This park is a gem! I'm not sure why it doesn't rate higher. It is unique in that it essentially is an in-city park in a major metro area that is isolated enough to let you feel as if you are really in the country. The sites are large, more on the scale of a better state park, but the property is a private, membership marina with an RV park associated with it. We were here on the weekend following the 4th of July so the place was packed, but there was room for many sites to have 3 or 4 vehicles with overflow parking for more, if needed. The roads are asphalt and aren't super wide but they are plenty adequate. Traffic is two-way on the camping loops which can be a little tight, but it was manageable. There are lots of trees to provide shade but we had no problem getting a satellite fix. Each site has a covered picnic area and a grill. Some sites are lakeside which would be very nice. Our site was a very easy back-in plenty long enough for our MH and car. AT&T service was good but did get overloaded in the evening because of the crowd. The Verizon service was spotty. There may have been wifi but we didn't use it. The office staff were friendly and efficient. There is a gate guard on until 9pm and after that the gate opens from a keypad. We have family in the area and we will definitely be back! One thing worth noting was that the sewer connection was at the very back of the pad and we needed to use an extension; good thing we always carry one. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is located in Frisco TX which is on the north side of the Dallas metro area. It's ~10 miles from Costco and about the same from Ikea. Walmarts, Lowes and other "necessities" are nearby.

Huge park, lots of walking areas!! They came to clean restroom areas more than once a day, which I thought was great! My one BIG disappointment was that they have no WiFi..(Really?) The grounds we pretty well kept, and the views were nice. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed for one month with a rate of $650 including electric. Full hook ups on lake, wonderful staff, quiet, we loved it. Marina nearby and walking trails. Seems very secluded though you are near Frisco. All of the staff, from the busy workers on the grounds to the office staff and manager are all extremely friendly and helpful. We will be returning next winter. Some sites are more level than others but we didn't have ant trouble getting it level. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

Visited week after Labor day. Park was quiet, immaculate and well manicured. Staff was helpful and courteous. The tent area is first come first served. The sites range from wide open grassy areas or heavily shaded or waterfront. While I camped in a tent, i did note RV sites were paved and nice as well. Boat ramps very nice as well. My family booked Labor Day weekend 2017 with tent camping an a shelter. No electricity, no hot water in the showers. When contacted staff they stated they forgot to tell us. Money was lost then because they don't refund. Only give 80% credit on another stay. Wouldn't give us another area. Noise level was deafening with music blaring from boats that came and parked right next to your campsite. Staff said they couldn't do anything about that. Horrible stay and will advise anyone who asks. I will never return! We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Tent.

We stayed here while visiting family in Dallas so didn't use the park much. Very nice park staff with night security staff as well. Site was level and concrete. Hookups worked well and Verizon service was good. Right on Lewisville Lake with a marina and boat launch inside the park. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

we stayed in spot #28, which was a water/electric only site. concrete pad which was slightly off level, easy fix with some leveling blocks. park was well maintained, grass was mowed, picnic shelters and grills were in good shape. there was a steel fire pit on our site but we didn't use it. it appeared that most of the sites had fire pits. lake was very high and flooded out the swimming beach, but we were still able to get in the water and paddle around. great location in the Metroplex/Frisco area. we will stay here again. Park sites are cement but they are not level. Trees at some sites are overgrown and can't get taller RVs in some sites. Had to move site because of tree issues, once we were moved into the new site and all set up, went to hook up sewer and their connection was not set for RV use. Called front desk and the two young girls working told us to just move sites to one that will work or go and buy something that will work. "It's just not that easy just to move after you are set up".

I eventually found one of their workers and he said "Oh yeah we put the wrong connection in that site and just haven't had the time to fix it", but came with a rubber sleeve to make do while we were there. Needless to say as convenient as it is to Frisco this place is too pricey and have to many issues to take a chance with the young people they have working here who obviously know nothing about the park or RVing that we will have to find another place when we come to the Frisco area, which is 3-4 times a year. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is actually a beautiful park with good proximity to Dallas. However I feel it is way overpriced for what it is. The pads are concrete but not level at all. Most sites don't have 50 amp or sewer connections. There are no laundry facilities, no pool, no wifi and poor cellular. BUT, it's a lovely park with lots of space between sites, many of which have a great view of the lake. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The view is beautiful at this park. However, the entry fees have gotten too high and justified us going to other parks instead. Full hook-up sites are too few, and always taken up by people who live in the park. My kids were scared away from this park by kids who lived there who were covered in scabies bumps. 5 or 6 years ago, the park was turned over to Marine Quest from The Colony and there were artist conception drawings of what Marine Quest was going to do with the park. All we got were more boat slips and a shoddy marina. The promise of the expansion of the RV park was never followed through with. We used to store our RV at their storage area, but it became a huge over grown mud hole and had to find another storage facility. I really wish the city would take back control of this beautiful park before it is permanently ruined by the incompetence of Marine Quest. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice wooded campground. Good location for north Dallas and suburbs. Sites are wide and level, some not so deep. The trees overhead had not been trimmed from the winter damage so some sites were not available to us. The odd thing is that the sewer pipes are at the very back of the sites and are at a 45 degree angle. We have stayed here before and will again. This is a great find if you want to stay in the North Dallas Metro area. The park is secure (gate closes at night, but you have a code to get in and out). There's a "holding area" if you arrive after gate is closed. The site was level, most sites are back up, they are spaced widely apart, lots of trees in the area and family friendly. We got great signals on our Verizon & AT&T phones. The park has weekend activities apart from just an RV park. We will most definitely stay here again. Very pretty for the price: excellent value. Very spacious sites and private feeling. Restrooms were cleaned out but more county park like in nature. A few lake view lots. Close to a marina. Would stay here again. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Tent Trailer.

We have stayed at this park before and had made 3 reservations for the future. We had a reservation for 50 amp full hook-up that we had made 6 months before our arrival. When we arrived there was not a reservation in the books for us. They offered us a non sewer lot until they could get us a full hook up. When we arrived at the site there was not a 50 amp hookup, only 30 amp which we were not advised. The camp host did provide us with a converter. The first time we stayed here there did seem to be confusion on the part of the staff of how to handle things. Check in takes a lot longer than it should. So there shouldn't be any surprise that you may not have a reservation if you made one. We liked the open spaces of the sites and it is a country setting with groceries, etc close. You should call ahead and make sure they have the site you need before arrival even if you had a reservation. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.

Hard to know where to begin. While this place has the potential to be nice, it's so poorly managed that you can't tell tell how many of the issues are the age of the infrastructure or the overall management. We have stayed here twice since it's the only thing close to Frisco, but the reservations are pretty worthless. It is a "first come" set up, so if you reserved a spot with water, sewer and 50 amp power and they are over booked (which has happened twice with us), then whoever gets here first gets the spot. Yes they took our money for a deposit and called us while we were in route and said we didn't have a site. So, during this stay we were asked to limit our power usage since it they had so many sites on one circuit that it kept tripping the main breaker. We were also sent to three different sites before we got one that was not occupied. Again, very poorly managed. I'm sure the tent campers are happy with this place but if you have a motorhome pass this place up. It's way past it's prime. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Motorhome.
