Its a new park in the area, the sites are well laid out. All the sites are full hook up and are on a nice concrete pad. When I called to see if they had an opening for a month I was told the rate would be $550.00 for the time we would be there. The lady on the phone did not say anything about an additional charge for electric nor does it show it thing on their web site. The day before we left, a guy came down and read the ELECTRIC METERS and about an hour later we got an email that we had been billed for electric for the month. The next day we had anther email from them for less than a dollar for electric for the last night we where there, like a dollar will break them. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!! We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, the website states $550+electric but we certainly could have done a better job of communicating that to you. I can tell the $1.00 charge probably cost us .75 cents so that was a bad move on our part too. Hope you will consider giving us another try if you are in the area.

Fairly nice park, but only 4 individual combination restrooms and showers for a fairly large park, and I don't think they were all operational during our stay, although they were very clean. Beach access was not that convenient, and the Gulf is obscured by a row of private homes. We were put in Site 40, which is near a fairly busy road. The park sites are spacious. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We really did not have a good experience here. The only positive comment that we have is that the sites were large with good separation between RVs. The Internet did not work for the majority of our stay. When we approached the staff about this issue, they said that we should purchase our own hotspot and gave us an 800 number to call the Internet provider directly. We were astounded by the poor customer service. The cable was spotty at best. The pool was not heated, and the hot tub was filthy, so we didn't use either. The water pressure was very poor here. While the park grounds were kept free of litter/debris, the surrounding beaches were filled with trash. It was disgusting to even go for a walk. We had hoped to kayak during our stay, but were so turned off by the amount of garbage that we didn't bother. Finally, the park is far removed from town, so not a good jumping off point if you want to visit Galveston. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hate to hear you had a bad experience, sounds like you caught us on an off day. WIFI can be a challenge in every RV Park. We all want to stream video and an instantaneous response, we just don't have the band width to make that happen. Web browsing, banking and checking email is usually not a problem. We should have our shuttle van making scheduled trips into town starting October.

This park was a breath of fresh air! So spacious and roomy, with great views of west bay and glimpses of the gulf. Very quiet. We loved it here. We will go back in the fall! Nice pool and hot tub too.

Sites are very spacious; all sites are 20' x 65' concrete pads. All sites have grills and picnic table. Utilities worked without problems and were well located. Roads are wide, the entire park is very accessible, with plenty of space to unhook and hook up. There is a large clubhouse which is available to rent for gatherings; showers, restrooms, and laundry available. There is a pond on-site for catch and release fishing. Free WiFi available, no problems. Owner was very friendly and welcoming! The beach/Gulf of Mexico is just across the road; plenty of beach access within a very short drive. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a new campground on the west side of Galveston. We were told it's been open less than a year but some of the conditions don't reflect that. The sites are concrete but we still needed leveling blocks as did the site behind us. Water and electric were fine but cable only worked two days and WiFi was basically useless, even after mentioning it to the office. There are five washers and dryers, but are in need of a good cleaning. Two of the dryers had so much sand in them we didn't bother trying to use them. There is plenty of grass to walk pets so that was a plus. The campground is only a quarter mile from the beach which is convenient. The rate is based on a week, which is a good deal, but we stayed two more nights that really weren't worth the stay. It is the farthest campground on the island from Galveston, 18 miles, so if we return to the area we would most likely stay closer. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park here is structurally RV friendly with spacious concrete pads and grass in between spaces. There is a pool that is not heated and a hot tub. The laundry facilities include four washers and dryers which are poor. Your clothes do not get clean for 1.50 per load and the dryers do not completely dry everything.

The small office has a small store with expensive prices.

The park advertises that they have a "bark park" which us non-existent. In fact your dogs are not allowed to bark as evidenced by management calling me and stating that I left my dogs unattended and the neighbor complained of them barking. My brother was there in our coach but the woman staff member would not allow me to explain. She rudely stated that they were my brothers dogs and that I was responsible. She stated that I needed to close my windows and shades and turn on the fan or we could be asked to vacate the premises. As dogs play in their home to ask that they never bark or bark at other dogs they see is asinine. With the threat of eviction at our door its hard to enjoy our stay. The owner of the park stated to my husband who is a disabled veteran that they take care of their veterans. The bathrooms are not cleaned on a regular basis and are often dirty. This is not a pet friendly park. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a newer park at the far west end of the Island. The park is built and maintained well. Long concrete, well spaced sites with with first class hook ups and wifi. Be aware that due to the location this park can be inconvenient to most anything on the island. 18 miles to the city of Galveston, 10 miles to any services. There is no easily accessible beach area being situated behind beach front property. If a very nice quiet stay is what your looking for, come prepared, this is a great place, with friendly staff. We left a day early, it was just too inconvenient for our needs, but that was due to our poor knowledge of the area. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We like this park. All sites are fully paved and the park is easy to maneuver around in the largest rig. In January it was fairly empty but we came back in March and it was spring break, but even being full with coaches and children it was still pretty quiet and nice. I had a couple of dog owners forget to pick up after their pets. I noted it to the park staff near by, and they cleaned up. Since I had no further gifts, I guess they had a talk with the owners. I found the staff was equally quick to respond to any other concerns. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is at the far west end of Galveston Island, and as a result it doesn't stay as full as Jamaica Beach and other parks closer to the city. It's very new, with large concrete pads with patios, back in and pull-thru sites, all with full hookups including cable TV. Well maintained. Large pool and hot tub. Noise from the road can be a little bothersome at times, so recommend a site away from the road. Other than that, it was very quiet, though we were here in the wintertime; I'd guess it's much busier in the high season. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Resort is across the street from the beach, although you do need to walk a few hundred feet to a beach access road. Beach is just OK--typical for the Gulf. Closest groceries and gas are in Galveston, about 18 miles away.

This is a wonderful campground, with very wide asphalt roads, large paved pads and patio with built in charcoal grill and wooden picnic table, nice pool and working hot tub. The hosts are great and the access to the beach is just across the road from the park. We will definitely return. We camped in a motorhome. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our bill was $159 for two nights (don't have the breakout)

Very clean park. DW really liked it. Nice level pads with plenty of room for my 39' MH and 20' car hauler. We were a little late, so RV park attendant called my cell phone and gave me late check-in instructions.

Only cons are: Beach is across the street, but there is a row of houses, so you have to walk a block or so to get to the beach access. Also, My highest rating goes to parks that have pads a little farther apart. I know this is unrealistic for this type of park, but I keep looking. This is a new park on Galveston Island. The sites are long and wide all concrete with grass between sites. Roads are wide making it easy to get into sites. Because of the bad weather in the area they have not yet completed construction on all amenities, but the pool is open and the other things should be done in a week or two. We would return to this park. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.
