Very nice campground. Concrete pads, roads easy to navigate. Beautiful pool, and beach across the street. The beach can be accessed by driving right onto the beach. People in office were very helpful. Wifi was terrible, couldn't even access emails. We were told we would have to pay extra to get Wifi which didn't seem very fair, it should have been included.Add the price of WIFI which is 40.00 per week to the price of the space. This makes this RV park more expensive than most parks on Galveston Island. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Charles, thanks for taking the time to write a review. The beaches on our end of the island are the best and easy to get to, glad you enjoyed your stay. As for the WIFI, our basic service is free and the paid WIFI includes a piece of equipment and has a private router with speed comparable to what most people have at home. If you can't cut the cord and want to download video, play online games or need a fast connection for work this is a great option. You were located next to one of the wifi towers so not exactly sure what problems you were having but we are always here to help whenever we can. Hope to see you again soon.

Top notch RV park. We were impressed by the large sites, customer service, and most of all the lazy river and pool where our grandkids spent most of their time. This park is family friendly because their were plenty of kids for the grands to play with. Onsite food delivery was nice and convenient. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park right across the street from the Gulf. Nicely paved sites, very easy to get in and out we have a 41' 5th wheel with lots of room, nice deep sites. Is 20 minutes south of Galveston so little ways away from the night life (which we wanted) We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park with all concrete roads and sites. Very long, wide sites with lots of space for tow vehicles. The beach is in walking distance just across the road. The staff was very helpful. That said, you are on the south end of the island and it is quite a distance to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Galveston itself, is 22 miles away. So if you are planning to spend time in the city, this isn't for you. However, if you plan to pretty much stay at the park and enjoy the beach, pool, etc, it's great. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to write a review. We are located about 20 minutes from the business district, the traffic and the tourists........we like it that way :-). The beaches and the sunsets on our end of the island are the best. If your plans are to spend all of your time in town then we probably are not a fit. Most of our visitors plan a day in town and then a day or two at the beach or relaxing by the pool or in the lazy river. Thanks again and hope to see you soon.

This resort is fairly new and terrific. They are VERY clean and spots are wide. They have a variety of pull through and back in. They have volleyball, horseshoes, a swimming pool, ping pong, corn hole. Great access to the beach: either drive or, walk on, or Park right across the street. FHU's and free wifi and cable. Bathrooms and showers are locked with a code so don't forget it!

The hosts drive around in the evening, in a golf cart and were available. The pool and hot tub were clean and nice! Bring comfy towels as the lounge chairs are a bit hard. It was great! We will definitely be back here! We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Its a new park in the area, the sites are well laid out. All the sites are full hook up and are on a nice concrete pad. When I called to see if they had an opening for a month I was told the rate would be $550.00 for the time we would be there. The lady on the phone did not say anything about an additional charge for electric nor does it show it thing on their web site. The day before we left, a guy came down and read the ELECTRIC METERS and about an hour later we got an email that we had been billed for electric for the month. The next day we had anther email from them for less than a dollar for electric for the last night we where there, like a dollar will break them. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!! Sorry for the misunderstanding, the website states $550+electric but we certainly could have done a better job of communicating that to you. I can tell the $1.00 charge probably cost us .75 cents so that was a bad move on our part too. Hope you will consider giving us another try if you are in the area.

Fairly nice park, but only 4 individual combination restrooms and showers for a fairly large park, and I don't think they were all operational during our stay, although they were very clean. Beach access was not that convenient, and the Gulf is obscured by a row of private homes. We were put in Site 40, which is near a fairly busy road. The park sites are spacious. We really did not have a good experience here. The only positive comment that we have is that the sites were large with good separation between RVs. The Internet did not work for the majority of our stay. When we approached the staff about this issue, they said that we should purchase our own hotspot and gave us an 800 number to call the Internet provider directly. We were astounded by the poor customer service. The cable was spotty at best. The pool was not heated, and the hot tub was filthy, so we didn't use either. The water pressure was very poor here. While the park grounds were kept free of litter/debris, the surrounding beaches were filled with trash. It was disgusting to even go for a walk. We had hoped to kayak during our stay, but were so turned off by the amount of garbage that we didn't bother. Finally, the park is far removed from town, so not a good jumping off point if you want to visit Galveston. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hate to hear you had a bad experience, sounds like you caught us on an off day. WIFI can be a challenge in every RV Park. We all want to stream video and an instantaneous response, we just don't have the band width to make that happen. Web browsing, banking and checking email is usually not a problem. We should have our shuttle van making scheduled trips into town starting October.

This park was a breath of fresh air! So spacious and roomy, with great views of west bay and glimpses of the gulf. Very quiet. We loved it here. We will go back in the fall! Nice pool and hot tub too.

Sites are very spacious; all sites are 20' x 65' concrete pads. All sites have grills and picnic table. Utilities worked without problems and were well located. Roads are wide, the entire park is very accessible, with plenty of space to unhook and hook up. There is a large clubhouse which is available to rent for gatherings; showers, restrooms, and laundry available. There is a pond on-site for catch and release fishing. Free WiFi available, no problems. Owner was very friendly and welcoming! The beach/Gulf of Mexico is just across the road; plenty of beach access within a very short drive. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a new campground on the west side of Galveston. We were told it's been open less than a year but some of the conditions don't reflect that. The sites are concrete but we still needed leveling blocks as did the site behind us. Water and electric were fine but cable only worked two days and WiFi was basically useless, even after mentioning it to the office. There are five washers and dryers, but are in need of a good cleaning. Two of the dryers had so much sand in them we didn't bother trying to use them. There is plenty of grass to walk pets so that was a plus. The campground is only a quarter mile from the beach which is convenient. The rate is based on a week, which is a good deal, but we stayed two more nights that really weren't worth the stay. It is the farthest campground on the island from Galveston, 18 miles, so if we return to the area we would most likely stay closer. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park here is structurally RV friendly with spacious concrete pads and grass in between spaces. There is a pool that is not heated and a hot tub. The laundry facilities include four washers and dryers which are poor. Your clothes do not get clean for 1.50 per load and the dryers do not completely dry everything.

The small office has a small store with expensive prices.

The park advertises that they have a "bark park" which us non-existent. In fact your dogs are not allowed to bark as evidenced by management calling me and stating that I left my dogs unattended and the neighbor complained of them barking. My brother was there in our coach but the woman staff member would not allow me to explain. She rudely stated that they were my brothers dogs and that I was responsible. She stated that I needed to close my windows and shades and turn on the fan or we could be asked to vacate the premises. As dogs play in their home to ask that they never bark or bark at other dogs they see is asinine. With the threat of eviction at our door its hard to enjoy our stay. The owner of the park stated to my husband who is a disabled veteran that they take care of their veterans. The bathrooms are not cleaned on a regular basis and are often dirty. This is not a pet friendly park. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a newer park at the far west end of the Island. The park is built and maintained well. Long concrete, well spaced sites with with first class hook ups and wifi. Be aware that due to the location this park can be inconvenient to most anything on the island. 18 miles to the city of Galveston, 10 miles to any services. There is no easily accessible beach area being situated behind beach front property. If a very nice quiet stay is what your looking for, come prepared, this is a great place, with friendly staff. We left a day early, it was just too inconvenient for our needs, but that was due to our poor knowledge of the area. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We like this park. All sites are fully paved and the park is easy to maneuver around in the largest rig. In January it was fairly empty but we came back in March and it was spring break, but even being full with coaches and children it was still pretty quiet and nice. I had a couple of dog owners forget to pick up after their pets. I noted it to the park staff near by, and they cleaned up. Since I had no further gifts, I guess they had a talk with the owners. I found the staff was equally quick to respond to any other concerns. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.
