RV Park located on main road that runs through Galveston. The RV park is located across the road from the beach and the beach access is across the street and to the right not really convenient to walking but a short bike ride or take your car. The park was beautifully maintained with 15-20 feet of grass between all the pull-through units. Two shower areas were very clean. There were two pools, a spa and miniature golf. We didn't use any of these but they were available. The park is about 11 miles or so from the heart of the city. We typically don't use the amenities at a park so prefer a state park that has more natural beauty but we were in Galveston to visit friends and this park served it's purpose very well. Would definitely return if coming back to area. We were in site 14 that is in the first row from the road. There is some road noise but the cool evenings kept our windows closed so that was not a problem. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

The rate reflects a monthly of $585. This park is wonderful. It must be a blast in the summer when you can use the pool and play miniature golf. A gorgeous, pristine beach is right across the street. The office staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. You can order pizza or wings and they make it right there. The park is very clean and well maintained. We stayed for a month and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is an exceptional destination park. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Probably more of a summer park than winter as a lot of the things to do here were either closed or not comfortable to do this time of year but they have one of the best hot spas I have ever seen.
Restroom and showers are very clean but the one near our space had very little hot water.
East access to the beach and the roadway has bike trails.
It is several miles to Galveston but the town is so well laid out that finding where you are going is very easy.
The RV park offers, ALL pullthru sites, breakfast on Wed morning followed by shopping with Dora. Free movie rentals, a small RV store, two swimming pools, (one for adults only) hot spa, laundry, miniature gulf, work out room and much more. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Lots to do and see around Galveston. Great restaurants, entertainment and miles of beaches. The ferry at the east end of the island is free and worth the ride even if you don't take your car.

We stayed in this park for 6 weeks and loved every minute. This is an exceptionally well managed park. The owners live on site. The staff work all day every day around the park and are very very friendly. Man guests have been wintering here for many years. Even though many folks had long term relationships with each other, they welcomed newcomers warmly. There were many events every week such as breakfast every Saturday morning, games night on Thursdays and pot luck dinner every week. The park is beautifully landscaped and RV spaces are large and level with concrete pads surrounded by grass. Good cable TV and Wi-Fi and cellphone coverage. Entry into the park is very easy and streets within the park are wide and easy to maneuver. We were in a 43 ft. 5th wheel pulled by an long extended cab, long bed Ford 350 dually pickup.
Beautiful beach is right across the road. We cannot say enough nice about this park and its management. We will definitely return. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is 10 miles west of Galveston it is quiet and away from all the city noise. Easy access to shopping in Galveston.
Galveston is only about 1 hour drive south of Houston with all that a big city has to offer.

This was the cleanest, most beautiful, and most accommodating campground ever! We planned to stay for a week, but called to see if we could come in a day early. They not only were able to accommodate us, but called us back to make sure we liked the sites they had for us and our friends. We will definitely return on our next trip to Texas! We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

While this park offers good pools, free movies at night and the staff was friendly, it had more negatives than positives for us. We were placed on back row next to horse stables, had several neighbors that looked to be full time - not quiet to the junky stage, but getting there. The one next to us had 3 vehicles that made our site seemed smaller than it was. The sewer stub was too high for our discharge so I had to get out, lift and jiggle the sewer hose occasionally - my response to the explanation that the "code" required the sewer stub to be 6 in. was that the pads should be higher. If you plan on doing Galveston, be aware it is a 15-20 min. drive. There is nothing around the park but beach homes and the beach. We paid to play their mini-golf at night, but lighting was so poor we could not see most holes. We will opt for one of the parks actually in Galveston for our next visit. The park itself is right across the highway from the beach, and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting having my morning coffee while looking across to the waves breaking on the shore. The laundry room and bathroom were clean but well worn. The pads are concrete and rather tight, so it was difficult to park my car at the end of my 40 footer. The daily horse rides to the beach from the stables next door simply added to the ambiance of being at a TEXAS RV park! We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle and traffic of Galveston proper, and the miniature golf course and water balloon area were lots of fun. This is decent little park. The sites are a little close together, and really not much of view as you are quite away from the water. Especially if you are on the bay side. The patio is nice, but a bit on the small side. The pool is nice, and is a "walk in" type. That is where there is no raised edge on the side, allowing you to pull lounge chairs into the shallows and sit partially in the water. A nice touch to keep cool. There is a swim up bar, bring your own drinks. They had an exercise room, but it was stacked with boxes and the equipment was broken. The owner said it would be fixed in the future. I would look at other parks in the future to be a little closer to the beach. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Friendly staff and right across the road a wonderful stretch of beach. About 20 min. drive into Galveston that has any services you would need. If you love the beach and want a quiet place, this place is excellent. Would stay here again. A few full timers and workers, but not enough to ruin the atmosphere of the park. The owners just keep making it better and better! Wonderful campground with amenities galore for the whole family. Sites are long and level, power is always consistent, and park cable works great. The pools are great. Love having adult time in one of the pools without the kids splashing around and the new hot tub is so awesome. Our family always enjoys the Saturday morning breakfast and also the nightly movies. The beach is just across the street and the state park is just 2 miles away for back bay fishing access. We will return again and again. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Older park. Well maintained. Across the road from nice beach. Extremely pet friendly. Accommodating management. Clean, lots to do in area. Horseback riding besides park. 1/2 hr from lots to do in Galveston. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys the beach, due to proximity. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Medium sized well kept park. They are doing some remodeling in the office area so the gym needs to be organized and equipment needs to be kept in working order. Would visit again We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Facilities worked as expected. Sites/roads are a little narrow for big rig maneuvering. Cement sites are nice, but corners that drop off 3-4+ inches are real tire-cutters. Had to lay boards in order to maneuver into our site without dropping into muddy grass or risk tires on cement edges. Many vehicles parked at the end of sites limit the roadways. For the Galveston area, the park is reasonable, just be mindful of big rig maneuvering. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This is one of the nicest parks we have ever stayed at. Park is very clean and neat. Pet friendly. Concrete pads and patio. Each site has a picnic table. Has pirate theme put-put course, Large pool with swim up bar, hot tub as big as some people's pool, outdoor movie, and very friendly staff. They even have delivery pizza. The beach is just across the street. This is not just an overnight stay, it is a destination. Highly recommend this location. Stayed 10 days. Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $24.00
The park was clean and in great condition. The roads are concrete but a bit narrow although the turns had sufficient room for our 40 ft fifth wheel. The sites are long, concrete, level and provide sufficient room to park your RV and vehicle. The beach access is about a quarter of a mile walk. The reason for the 8 rating was due to our being unable to connect to the park Wi-Fi. We camped at Jamaica Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
