Very nice park. Lake is very high right now and boating is restricted as docks are under water. Park lake was 16 feet down until latest rains and local flooding brought higher water. Most sites are not level front to back. No real issue if you can adjust your rig. Water is good with very high pressure. Electric is perfect with 30 and 50 amp service. We enjoyed our stay here. Lots of restaurants and stores within a few miles. Upscale HEB groceries. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

We love this park but the sites could use some TLC. Pads are crumbling in places and the trees could use some trimming over the sites. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Sites range in length, terrain, and sunny vs shady. My site is level side to side but slopes down some back to front. Was able to level it with minimal hassle. Nice shady area with lots of room. Grab site 8 if your rig is 40+ foot. Bathroom toilets not great but usable. Showers are fine. We hit the hiking trail ofte;. didn't get to ride it, but it looks mostly doable if you like to mountain bike. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Georgetown is a wonderful small town. Lady at visitor center was great. Enjoyed bbq at the Black Box. Town has murals and sculptures around town. Also close to Austin so you can come and go.

We stayed for 3 days in site #13. We originally booked #11 but on arrival we discovered that it had over hanging trees that were to tight for our coach so the gate attendant was happy to move us to a different space. Water pressure is good and the 50 amp work fine. Verizon cell signal was fair (3 bars) so we could use our jetpack for internet. The water in the lake is down about 15 ft. due to lack of rain, but it's actually pretty clear for a Texas lake. Parking sites are not very level. Our 45' motor home had the right front tire 3" off the ground to level up. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Motorhome.

LOVE this park. We've stayed here many times. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sites are spacious and most have lots of trees. It does get pretty crowded on the weekends but have always felt safe and not worried about property being stolen. The only thing missing is a sewer hookup. However, they do have a dump station. Our favorite sites are 32, 48, 14, 3. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed in a back in site. Not particularly big rig friendly give that many trees encroached the main roads, and some sites. Our site needed mowing in the worst way. Covered cabanas in each site are at the rear of where the RV parks. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Motorhome.

We like Corp of Engineer parks due to our discount and the camping experience. The sites were roomy but the road was very narrow. Access to the lake was limited due the rock ledges; however the views were beautiful. This park is situated along the 26 mile hiking trail around the Georgetown Lake which provided more to do than just fish and read. The only negative was a street light that kept turning off and on all night (the light was at a curve in the road). If we camp here again, will definitely choose a site away from bright lights. Very nice park as are most of the COE parks. Lots of room between sites. Nice staff and easy parking. Good ATT and we had easy satellite set-up. I could see that others didn't. My only problem with COE parks is the ridiculous check out time of 2:00 PM and check in of 3:00. 12:00 would be much better and more convenient for everyone. Overall the park had lots of shade and each site was nice with its own large pavilion over the camper table. has fire ring and bbq stand. Showers and bath were extra scary with band aids and wet toilet paper here and there. We never use the bathrooms since we have our own in the camper but we always check them out. Campers previous to us left all of their garbage loose in the fire ring so we had to clean that up. We are planning on returning again. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Tent Trailer.

We have stayed at Cedar Breaks before and I am sure we will stay here again. The park is very secure and quiet. Infrastructure is well maintained. Sites are asphalt with caliche and natural grass all around - including wild flowers galore and have open views of the lake. There is a covered patio with a picnic table and each site had both a fire and bar-b-q pits. Sites offer water and electricity (30 and 50 amp) and there is a dump station for sewer. If you boat or fish, there is large boat ramp and day use area set apart from the camping circle. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Georgetown is a pretty little city with some lovely old houses in the historic district. Be sure to visit the town square and a meal at Monument Cafe is a must. If you like baseball, take in a Round Rock Express game (minor league team) at the Dell Diamond Stadium.

This is a Army Corps. of Engineers park. That being said the bathrooms were very rough. It did not look like they got cleaned regularly. The sites are great, some lakefront, all very heavily treed with water and electricity. Only the volunteers village has full hookups. For all the "volunteers" that they have, you would think that the restrooms would be cleaner and have some hand soap. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times in the past. This is a nice park with well-spaced sites. Usually the roads are easy to navigate, except on weekends when crowded and excess cars and boats are parked on or near the edge of the roads. Sites either back up to the lake or are in the cedar trees. Most of the sites are unlevel. We didn't have enough leveling blocks to get our rig level. Some of the sites would be too short for a long rig. The utilities worked well and were appropriately placed. Each campsite has a picnic table with shelter and a covered charcoal grill, which was full of ashes that we cleaned out. There were no amenities, other than restrooms, which were absolutely filthy. Dumpsters had been removed from various areas throughout the campground and placed outside the campground area, leaving trash cans in front of the restrooms overflowing with household garbage because campers couldn't be bothered to walk 200 yards to properly dispose of their garbage. Lots of new volunteers taking up prime locations, but they didn't appear to be doing much. Clearly the campground is low priority for paid personnel. There was a little improvement toward the end of Oct., but not much. We will never stay here again. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Motorhome.

This is a favorite relaxing weekend spot for our family. This campground is located in Georgetown, which is just north of Austin. If you are visiting north Austin or Round Rock, this could be very convenient. This is one of a couple of parks on the lake. This parks tends to be quieter than the others. Some sites have water views, none have water access. A few have cliff-like drop offs by the water edge. The park lets you reserve your site in advance so arriving late in the day is not an issue. But be sure to arrive before the gates close, if not you cannot get into the park. The bathrooms are not particularly clean and are very poorly lighted. There is a trail that goes around the lake over 20 miles, that you can join from the campground. There is not much for kids to do at the park, except walk and ride bikes. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 10 nights and spent the first night in site 15. We ended up moving to site 22 because site 15 was tilted toward the lake that we couldn'the level properly. Many of the sites near the lake are not level. We plan to stay here again. We camped at Cedar Breaks Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.
