What a neat park! We camped during the week, and seemingly had the place to ourselves. We have a 26 ft travel trailer, back-in slot that had plenty of room for the tow vehicle. Wide-open park with strategically placed trees, our slot had perfect evening shade. Each site has a nice shade structure over the concrete pad and sturdy picnic table. Lots of Cave Sparrows keeping busy. Beautiful little lake that is perfect for the newbie kayakers that we are. AT&T cell coverage was spotty at times- fine by me! Bath houses are clean, but are older and could do with an upgrade. A friendly and diligent staff, we saw their little yellow scooter all over the park! We will definitely come back. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed one night in the park. It was clean and well kept. We had site 15 and backed our trailer in with a great view of the lake. Sites are spaced out nicely. Each site had a picnic table and grill. Picnic table was under a spacious shelter at each Gates close at 10 PM each night. No reentry after that time. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

In a 42ft Class A. Used a back-in site but drove in so windshield had lakefront view--awesome. Sites about 120ft apart. Covered picnic tables. Very private site 15. 50 amp and water. 5 night stay. Level paved sites. Boat ramp in the park. 13 min drive to Taylor super market. Great find. Grill and fire ring at each site. Definitely come back after Texas heat breaks. Voice only for T-mobile, I did telework using AT&T and Verizon hotspots, both strong LTE with signal booster and roof antenna. COE parks have been excellent so far. Too bad flooding closed Somerville Lake and Canyon lake parks. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Motorhome.

Sites are very spacious. There is water and electricity but no full sewer hookups. Lake is good for fishing and there is a designated swim area. You can reserve a site in advance or there are sites on a first come first basis. Gate attendants are always friendly and helpful. This is our go to campground. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is on the shores of Granger Lake and some of the sites have nice views of the water. Some are shaded and some are not. Most sites are very spacious and level and are surrounded by lush green grass. Parking at each site is back-in, but is very large and easy to get into. Each site has a picnic table which is covered by a large and sturdy shade shelter. There is reliable 50/30/20 amp electric service, water, fire ring, and covered grill at each site. Restrooms and showers are a bit dated and were a bit dirty, probably due to several large groups using the park at the time. The campground was quiet the first 2 days, but became noisy when the skiers started blasting their stereo just off shore. No wifi but strong Verizon signal. There is a swimming area and boat ramp. The biggest downer came at the end of our visit, when we went to the dump station. Unbeknownst to us, the drain was full and/or clogged, and we had a big mess when we opened the valve to our black tank! And when we reported this to the gate attendant, she said it had happened a couple of weeks ago also! Park entrance hours are from 6:00am - 10:00pm. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great campground. Sites are large, clean, and well spaced. The restrooms and showers were spotless. Price reflects the senior discount. We will definitely camp here again, especially during the week when it's not crowded. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Travel Trailer.

This would be a very nice park to camp if the bathrooms were cleaned regular and grass was mowed. The grass here was over 3 foot tall around the camp sites. The rest rooms were dirty and nasty. Had good cell phone and internet, most of the sites were level and long with a big shelter over the tables. Would stay here again if in the area We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This a Corp of Engineer park located on Granger Lake between Granger and Taylor, Texas. Among the three COE campgrounds located near the lake, this one has larger sites that will serve "big" rigs. Unfortunately, there are only six 50 amp sites. The pads are paved with plenty of space between them as is normally the case with a COE park. They have several double sites with 30 amp service, but 'double' is a misnomer. They are only wide enough for two travel trailers without slide outs or awnings deployed. There is a nice playground for the kids and parents have an unrestricted view to watch them if they go bike riding on their own. Each site has a covered picnic table and there are pavilions available for large gatherings. There is a fishing dock, but it is not a short walk from the campsites. The dump station is easily accessed. There isn't any tourist attraction in Granger or Taylor. Shopping would best be done in Georgetown 20 miles to the west of the campground. Not withstanding the lack of more 50 amp sites, this is a nice, peaceful campground. I would have rated the campground higher, but the minimal number of 50 amp sites, no laundry room, and the dirty bathhouse facilities took their toll. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Motorhome.
