There is nothing but praise I can share for this campground. After suffering 3 major floods in 4 years this campground is beautiful. Congratulaions to the crew, ground people and many volunteers that helped return this campground to its awesome condition. This is a must to visit when you are in the area. Spacious sights and a large green belt to walk the furry kids. Excellent roads for riding bikes and you can rent golf carts on sight. There is a Marina across the cove that was playing live music last night and sounded like everyone was having a good time. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Minutes to Great wolf Lodge, Bass Pro Shop, Grapevine mall. On the lake with boat ramp on sight. Just one main cove from the Gaylord resort. We took the granddaughter to LEGOLAND and Sea Life at the Mall. We had lunch at the Rainforest Café. LEGOLAND was a beat down but Sea Life was very nice and had best value..

Beautiful, but pricey park, located on the south shore of Grapevine Lake. Park is run by the city of Grapevine. Stays pretty full, particularly on weekends. They require a three day reservation on weekends, so reserve early. Very clean and peaceful. East side of park has lots of shade, but west side does not have any. Nice concrete pads and paved roads. All services excellent. Gated at night, requires a gate code to get in after 7pm. Most pads are large pull through. Depending on how much you want to pay, you can have your private deck, covered picnic table or be water side. All sites have enough room for your awning and a nice metal picnic table. It is an excellent park, but for a price and NO discounts. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent RV Resort. Stayed in Silver site. An attractive property which is very well managed and maintained. Excellent on line reservation system which permits you to select a specific site. Based on my survey of the property, sites 78 through 93 offer the most space, most privacy and best views of the lake but no/few trees. Paved roads and pads. All utilities worked well. Near glide path for DFW Airport but noise is not obtrusive. Plenty of activities at the park (bikes, kayaks, fishing, playground, beach) but no pool. Close to a quaint downtown area with good restaurants and shops. IMHO the place to stay in the DFW area. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Great park. Had a water front site. Sites spaced far apart. Cement level pad. Lots of grass. Trees pruned up for big rigs. Great place to stay in a very urban enviorment, close to DFW airport When you leave ask for directions. We were headed east. Used their directions avoided construction and heavy traffic!!! Very friendly staff, wide roads, very peaceful!! We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

An outstanding park with mostly concrete slabs, fire rings and in some cases covered picnic tables. After getting through the DFW traffic this was almost a bit of heaven. Airplane noise was only minor and of not concern. The staff have done a wonderful job of resurrecting this park after the previous year floods. Have a nice playground for the kids. All sites have some sort of water view of Lake Grapevine. As it is near our kids we will definitely be back. Make reservations as far in advance as possible. The web site is very friendly and interactive. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

We stayed for only two nights on our way from Orlando to LA. We had a Premium Pull Thru with Full Hookups. The Vineyards was the nicest place we have stayed on our trip across country. Beautiful unobstructed view of the lake. The most spacious sites of any park we have stayed at thus far. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

Site is concrete, back in, full hookup. WiFi is poor, cable, picnic table (some with covers), fire ring & bbq. Pet friendly but no run plenty of area to walk them. Kid friendly with a great playground & little beach. The positioning of sites is weird but most sites have a view of Lake. There are some sites on the road. Loads of walking /biking. They rent bikes, kayaks, golf carts. Delivery wood to site. Pizza can also be delivered. We camped at The Vineyards in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful campground located on a lake. Kayak, bike and golf cart rental. Some shaded and others full sun about 50/50. Close to shopping, restaurants and Dallas. My only complaint is that they charge you 100 percent when you make the reservation. We camped at The Vineyards in a Fifth Wheel.

Please note that rate here reflects a monthly rate. When you pay $1400 a month to stay at an RV in the middle of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex, you should expect amazing wifi. You should expect to have connectivity to the outside world. If you're staying on the lake, you'll get no wifi and you will have 1 bar of Verizon reception. Additionally, laundry room was filthy, only 3 washers and one broke while we were washing. In 7 months of traveling the country, this is tied for most expensive (spent $1400 for a month on the San Diego Bay), only park with no wifi and dirtiest laundry facilities to date. Outside of these few complaints, the sites are beautiful, well kept, as spacious as state parks and right in the middle of an amazing city, Grapevine, TX. But seriously guys, 2017....wifi please. We paid for it. Admin note: park advises Wi-Fi only available on East side of campground We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Wonderful campground. Definitely a "resort". Well manicured grounds. Our site was lakefront. Very spacious site, plenty of room to back in. Concrete slab, with covered picnic table. Elaborate playground structure that includes a zip-line, the children loved it. Laundry room was spotless, machines run on credit cards (no coins). Close to downtown Historic Grapevine-- not exactly walking distance if you've got little kids; the approximately 1.5mi walk takes you down sections of very busy streets and intersections. Kayaking the lake was a real treat; we discovered neat rock formations and a nearby park. Evenings were quiet, although we didn't stay a weekend. I imagine this place is booked solid on the weekends. The marina across the way looked like it could get pretty lively. There was a band playing Thursday night. Overall, a very well run outfit. We had a very pleasant stay, highly recommend. Would definitely return. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

Entry is good. Interior roads are paved but watch for the edges which crumble. Sites are concrete or asphalt. Most sites are back in sites. Some are pull thru which are parallel off the side of the road. Most are in the sun. We were in #36 and there was some shade but it prohibited use of our satellite. Water and electric were good. Cable advertised over 50 channels but only 26 came in. Bring extra sewer hoses since some are in the very back of the sites. There is a small beach. Water is somewhat muddy. No off leash park although there are places to walk the dogs (but there are burrs in the grass). This place can be very windy. Canoes, etc. for rent. No pool. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Come into Grapevine from the west using Route 114 and go east on Northwest Hiway. Then turn North on Dooley. GPS will guide you around on new 114 and then have to drive down past all the little shops on Main Street. The turn off Northwest Hiway is about 2 blocks past the big Bank of the West building. Avoid all other routes that take you thru Dallas, etc. There is lots of construction and maps and GPS are not accurate. Lots of places to eat.

This was our second stay here and we have made it our official "stay here" spot when we're in the Fort Worth area (twice a year). The staff is fantastic, the place is utterly beautiful - quiet, clean and just enough in the country to be really comfortable. Everything you could want is within a 5-10 minute drive, gate with a keypad for after hours entry, regular patrols by law enforcement, etc. Be sure to look over the campground map and pick out your site to get the one you want. Beware: they fill up quickly for special events, so make your reservation early. They also seem to be constantly improving, which is great, too. Just finishing up on a really nice pavilion when we were there this spring. This is an older CoE campground that the city of Grapevine purchased and renewed to support their tourism, so they endeavor to be sure everyone is happy. Try it - you'll love it! We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Plan and make your reservations early - sites go fast for special events. All of the sites are great, some larger than others. If they're full for one of the nights you need, ask if any of the overflow sites at the pavilion are open for that night.

Park is excellent. Our site overlooked the lake and was close to the playground and swimming area. Cable worked well. WIFI was broken on our end of the park but was accessible up near the camp store. Site had it's own pavilion with picnic table and grill. Site 37 is on a hill so leveling is a challenge. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

We were in Grapevine for a business trip and needed somewhere relatively central to stay for a few days. The Vineyards Campground and Cabins were perfect for our needs. While right in the middle of Grapevine and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, you can almost believe you are out in the country. The spots are extremely large with many spots looking out onto the water. However, there are very few established trees so you won't get any privacy from your neighbors. The spots are paved and extremely level. The hookups are modern and easy to use. Since we were only there for three days, we never really used the facilities, but everything we saw was extremely clean and tidy. The WIFI is technically only available on the east side spots, but with our WIFIRanger, we were able to easily see the connection. That said, this was pretty standard park WIFI with speeds hovering at 1Mbps and slower. Good enough for light use, but not very practical for work purposes. There is one downside to the campground which will definitely spoil the countryside vibe. If the wind is blowing out of the south, you may find yourself right in the flight path of airplanes landing at DFW airport. This was the case on our first night and it can be a pretty constant rumble. Not deafening, but you will certainly notice it. All in all, this was a very nice campground that met our specific needs. Generally, we don't need or want to camp this close to a city, but it was a nice place when we needed it. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

We visited Grapevine in April, and the Vineyards Campground was still closed due to record rainfalls and flooding of the park. While there is still ongoing work at the park, it looks amazing. The bathrooms are new and squeaky clean. Shower areas are large with ample dressing area including benches. Only complaint would be the water was lukewarm, and there were no soap dishes. The laundry has 3 high efficiency top-loading washers ($1.50) and 3 dryers ($1.25/60 minutes) and accept credit cards for payment. There is a campstore on site, along with kayak, bike, and golf cart rentals. Campsite are long, and all are cement or asphalt and level. There is a 3 tiered pricing system--gold, silver, and bronze. Bronze sites are back-in, silver are pull-through (many are parallel to the road), and gold are lake front. The price goes up $10 with each level. We had a bronze site and did have good site lines to the lake. The cable TV had ample channels, and the wifi was adequate. In a metropolitan area of 7 million people, this campground is truly a gem. The planes going into DFW are the only reminder that you are in an urban area. Downtown Grapevine is about 1 1/2 miles away and has a very quaint, old style downtown main street with eateries and gift shops. The surround area has all the stores and restaurant needed and more. We have friends in the area and will definitely stay here again. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.
