This place is OK if you just need a a place to spend the night driving by, but not worth driving out of your way to get to. Most of the park is filled with permanent residents and the overall look of the place is a little rough. Having said that those that we talked to were nice and you do feel safe because a Highway Patrol person lives there and thus parks their patrol car there. The sites are unlevel gravel. The hookups worked, as well as the cable and Wi-Fi. We camped at Fort Parker RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Wi-Fi was great, that is where the nice things I can say end. The spaces are rough gravel and very uneven, add to that the pull throughs put you so close to the next unit as to leave a foot of space between the slides if you both have them and we did. Although they are pet friendly if your pet gets off the gravel driveways they will be covered with grass burrs. We found this out to late and had a major job picking them from our dogs fur. The people there were friendly and there is a Texas Highway Patrol man living on site to make you feel safe. We would only stay here again as a last resort though.
