Nice little park on beautiful small lake on Highway 80 East out of Dallas. It's a county park, some sites are newer than others. They actually encourage campers to let their grey water run onto the ground, say it's good for the grass. Midway between the small East Texas towns of Mineola and Hawkins, right off Highway 80. Tall pine trees, nice little lake with lots of fish! Man-made sandy beach right on lake, nice for the kids. Be sure and go during the week, however, as it seemed to get quite crowded from Friday evening through Sunday morning with local tenters. Boat ramp, with plenty of parking for your boat trailer too. We camped at Lake Hawkins RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
