46 Parks near Houston, Texas
Apr 2016 - $55.00
We stayed 2 different nights, parked by the office in pull in site 124. Older park with many full time trailers, campers, with huge trees, so watch your Sat, but strong cable TV & WiFi service. Super nice and friendly office staff. We stayed here to be close to galleria area. Pool area looked spotless and park is well maintained. We will stay here again when in Houston. With highway construction on Beltway 8, if you are going north on Beltway 8,watch for your east feeder street to I-59. Park is located east of PPL RV sales lots and behind Sterling McCall auto dealership, on the south side of I-59 - RV park has a sign on 1-59( southwest freeway). If you are going south on Beltway 8 , exit at 1-59 feeder road and go east. - Oooooooo
Oct 2015 - $50.00
Sites are concrete ad, very narrow. We were here for only 1 nite & our site was right next to office, laundry & showers. Very convenient but no privacy. Entire complex is mostly concrete, narrow strips of grass. Landscaping was nice & well maintained. Laundry was superb. Dog walk area & dog wash facility! Nice rec room & heated pool. Located in a very congested area in back of several car dealerships. Would not stay here for an extended period bit one nite was fine. - Hulda
Jun 2015 - $22.00
We stayed here for 6 weeks while working the floods of Memorial Day 2015. Owners are consistently grooming and cleaning the sites. There are a lot of workers of various occupations, but it's very quiet, people are friendly but not in your business. The laundry is clean with several options of cycles so the $2.50 seems fair. We kept a clothesline between the trees in the back of our RV for line drying and that was readily acceptable. The pool was treated 3 X/day for bugs and the most I saw using it were 3, including me. An exercise room, a computer room, and pool table rounded out the community hall. They recently added TengoInternet, have cable, and Wi-Fi works great. Very close to the 59, the 8, the 610 easy to get to any place in Houston. Found it to be a utilitarian city but lots of wonderful places to eat. Close to La Porte, Galveston, and Beaumont. Would come again anytime. - Barbara Smith
Aug 2016 - $26.00
Very nice well kept park, mostly full-timers. Biggest problem is parking. Management allows residents to park just about anywhere. The space next to us had a boat, pickup truck, car and a 5th wheel. The car and the truck are parked in the street. At night the streets have cars parked everywhere. We chose this place to be close to the Medical Center. We haven't noticed any noise problem, our site has been nice and quiet. Our first site was terrible but they moved us to a better site. - 4jim
Apr 2016 - $55.00
Hands down the most beautiful RV park we have yet to visit. The well-manicured grass areas were golf course quality, flower beds, rose bushes and well maintained trees everywhere. Would be a disservice to call it a campground. It's a resort. Well-appointed clubhouse with pool tables, table tennis, shuffle board. Heated pool. No grill at the site, but there are community grills throughout the park. We were only here two days, but could easily see staying long term. The only downside I see is there is just one restroom (that I could tell) at the clubhouse and could be quite a hike if your at the back of the park. Other than that, this is a first class resort. - ajmurray
Mar 2016 - $57.00
Excellent park! Friendly Staff. Very clean. Heated pool. Gated. Great Wifi! Only here for one night. I would suggest it for long term too. Lovely place! - User3274
May 2016 - $54.00
It's kinda rare to find a 10 out there, but given the location to Houston and Spring, this is it. Pretty much everything most people have already said is accurate. However we did not experience all the noise people talked about. This was Memorial Day weekend as well. I kinda expected a thunderous speedway, or more plane/airport noise. I guess it could get noisy but I didn't really notice it. We spent most of our time out in Houston and some time in Spring, both are really close. Our evenings were spent in the park, which is taken manicured and cleaned to the point you can go barefooted almost anywhere. We used the pool which has nice feature, starting at 8:00 p.m. adults only. The park is mosquito controlled, which is nice. Houston can have elephant sized mosquitoes. I didn't notice mosquitoes anywhere in the mornings, however as night set in around 9:30-10:00 p.m. came around a got a few bites while sitting outside. Wifi worked well throughout our stay, cable TV has quite a few channels, and all facilities were clean. There is a man-made lake in the middle of the park, I did see a few people fishing, but we did not. There are sites surrounding the lake, I think I'd request one of those if we come back. We got a late site for the weekend and did really get a choice, but it wasn't a problem. - mikel
Mar 2016 - $60.00
Nice park in a busy area. Near Willowbrook Orthopedic Hospital and Bush Airport. It can get noisy with the trains and the park does have a fair number of long term guests. The park is clean and the long term guest keep their sites clean and neat. The wifi is among the best we have used. It is well placed for northwest Houston and the I-45 area. Sites are large and easy in and out. - peddy dick
Dec 2015 - $20.00
This is one of the best kept secrets in Texas. We loved this park. We stayed here multiple times over the past two years. Between 4 and 8 months at a time. The rate we paid was $450 plus electric for a pull through spot neat the gate that leads to the Potato Patch restaurant. Really nice dog run. The lake, pool, hot tub, gym, BBQ area all are clean and nice. They sell propane right on site. You can even rent golf carts!! - SGTABN82
Jul 2012 - $30.00
I stayed here in this RV / Mobile home park for 3 months. It's an OK place. It's MOSTLY quiet. I did have a few problems with it tho. Loose running dogs throughout the site would often attack. I walk my small dog on a leash and had been attacked by other loose dogs 9 times. There is a specific family in the park that like to have VERY LOUD live music with mariachi bands that run late into the night. The music was so loud, almost the whole park could hear it and had to deal with it. The manager is a complete space case. Aside from being illiterate, she flakes out on everything she says. She is hardly ever on site and goes on "vacation" often. The swimming pool was mostly filthy all the time. Once the swimming pool was closed due to feces being in the pool. They also inflate your electric bill that you pay directly to them. I've never in my life had such a large electric bill in an RV. The electric bill was about the same as when I lived in my 2500 square foot HOUSE. The only nice things I can say about the park is... it is pretty. A lot of shade trees. And is mostly clean. The laundry facility was working and clean also. - Forestwoman
Dec 2013 - $26.00
Overall first impression was the camground looked very old. Mostly Long termer here, which is not an issue. Assigned a site and found it was filled. On Duty Manager stated "well if they won't move, I'll shoot out their tires" Second site the electrical meter was broken and live power appeared to be exposed. Site was noting but an uneven hole. Third site more level but uneven ground. Slab was poured crooked which made t hard to back in. Went to hook up power at panel and found inside cover missing "EXPOSED BUSSES". Since I knew something about electricity, I was able to plug in, but a child or unsuspecting adult could get electrocuted very easily. Place needs a ton of work. basically bull doze and start over. Spaces are too tight, I was in a 23 ft Jayco 5th wheel and had problems. Not enough room. Will not return! Good Sam needs to re-evaluate this campground. The rating it gives are too high! - mark-frm-Ne
May 2005 - $22.00
This campground is in poor condition. No one available in office (even to take your money). Rough neighborhood and mostly occupied by permanent residents. Good Sam needs to go out and re-evaluate this campground. We stayed one night so we could visit friends in Houston and would never return to this campground. - jahiggins
Jan 2016 - $42.00
This is a gated facility within the Houston city limits. We had read that a lot of patients seeking extended medical care stayed here and found this is true. We read about road noise and were fortunate to get a site in the middle of the park that was not too loud. The person who greater us the office and her husband were very nice and helpful. However, they don't own the park and seemed to be hand tied by lack of funds. The restrooms should be closed! The access ramp is far too steep, clearly not up to code. Really not sure why Good Sam would rate them so highly. If you have another option, I would seriously consider staying somewhere else. - Ncw
Mar 2015 - $50.00
If you only need a convenient place close to the Houston Med center or NRG stadium complex, this facility is fine. But beware.....there are issues to mention. The roads are very tight. Large rigs will fit but only after a lot of maneuvering and stressful nail biting. The staff is very helpful assisting with this task.
The sites are level and there is a nice concrete patio and quite a bit of shade about the grounds. But beware...the hook-ups work fine but are located at the very back of the site. I had to use my electrical extension cord to reach the pedestal and 2 sections of sewer hose to reach the dump drop. Cable TV is available but half of the channels were fuzzy.
Speed bumps...UNBELIEVABLE...they are everywhere and way too close to each other. Total Overkill. It's not like you can get up to any speed on the narrow tight roads that are also lined with tow vehicles. They could easily eliminate half (or more) of these and still be effective with controlling the non-existent hot-roders
And the Noise. If extreme noise is a problem pick another facility. This park is inches from a very busy Main Street. The noise is 24/7. Loud trucks, fast obnoxious cars, and sirens at 3am.
This facility was satisfactory for what we needed, but certainly not a pristine experience. - Tcamper
Jan 2015 - $38.00
Most people in this park seem to be here for weeks or months for medical treatment so if you are only here for a few nights they put you on sites that are right by Main Rd which is busy and noisy 24/7. We were on site 72 and I think this is mainly used for storage as there wasn't even a cable hook up. Staff was very helpful putting us on site but when I asked about a quieter site he said there weren't any. We booked ahead so if this was the case I feel we should have been informed of the close proximity to the road. Access to the park is also confusing as you enter by a sharp right turn and are confronted by locked gates, we carried on up the road looking for another entrance and ended up having to work our way back round - another thing it would have been helpful to have been told when we phoned. We would not stay here again and would not recommend the park for tourists. - 2onthemove
Dec 2015 - $50.00
Aside from the narrow one lane road to get to the park, the park staff and grounds are great. We have a shorter site than we like but then, it was the last monthly site for December. We had to leave another location and this was the closest to our family so we could spend Christmas with her.
Park is smaller than expected but great for walking. They have a dog walk for our critters but the code for the gate is a hassle but understandable since the park is in Houston (Pearland area). Dog pickup bags are located throughout the park in several areas. WiFi is free and through Tengo. It looks like there are a lot of people who full time in the park, but check with the office EARLY to get a prime spot. The staff is great to work with.
We will be back. - PatJ3
Apr 2015 - $50.00
Park is kept clean and manicured. Sites are level. Access road is very narrow, and is very difficult at times to turn onto connecting road, as traffic is constant. Park is very crowded, neighbors very close, not allowing much privacy, which some long- term residents tend to invade. Dog area is outside the park, unmowed, and not fenced. Many do not pick up after their dogs inside the park. Very expensive park, fees are the same as sister parks that do have pools. Power outages whenever it storms, were without electricity for two days at a time. Not many reasons to refer to it as a resort. No plans to return. Not a destination park. - Ron910
Apr 2015 - $50.00
Clean, Quiet, Safe, Convenient, excellent staff! All roads, sites, and patios are paved. Each Site has table. Beautiful fishing lake with deck. Main building houses office, great rec room with tread mills and weight machine. Really nice laundry room. Enjoy sitting in their rocking chairs overlooking lake in afternoon and watching people fish. - Motorhome rv'r
Apr 2016 - $35.00
Hard to rate as the rains were awful many roads were closed having said that the staff other then the manager were clueless we called several times to get directions and they could not give us correct directions, they have the flea market which make getting into the park on the weekends dam near impossible, the office is not clearly marked, the electric hook ups are very low to the ground and if you use a surge protector you have a difficult time plugging your power cord in it hits the ground. not a great idea when every thing is sitting in water. The office needs some adults not teenagers who when they answer the phone have a little knowledge about how to get there when the freeway is closed, getting wrong directions several times just does not cut it. The site was large but the whole park is nothing more than a giant parking lot. if you want to go to a flea market then it may be the place for you other than that I will pass you also have the toll roads which some are pass only does not take cash and no pay by mail . Would not stay here again if you are just staying the night there are a few parks right off the 10 without having to travel all over the place to get there and. - tazman1953
Apr 2016 - $30.00
Excellent access to all highways. Great office staff. - Zoni Jay
Mar 2016 - $31.00
This is a nice campground. They have some pull thru sites.
They have 50 Amp FHU available. The park is clean and tidy.
ATT & Verizon work well. Plenty of clear sky for satellite set up. Restrooms are clean individual cubicles. No train or Hwy noise. Good free WiFi. Internal roads are concrete and pads are concrete but are close together. There is a large swap meet on the site at weekends. We will stay again. - TedandJan
Jan 2005 - $36.00
This is a mobile home park that will rent spaces to R.V. campers. The park is fairly dated, but kept clean and the staff is excellent. Located beside Hobby Airport, its a short drive to downtown Houston and all its attractions. Will visit again. - txtransplants
Mar 2016 - $57.00
Gated, hot tub, heated pool, free coffee, free popcorn, free air to air up tires, dog walk, dog wash station. Park is well kept and quiet. Rented a pull-through site. No extra charge for trailer, pets (2 dogs) or third person. Managers are very congenial, helpful and on top of everything. Definitely recommend and will be staying again. - Allgood
Mar 2016 - $39.00
The park has level concrete spaces with grass and a picnic table, including FHU for 30/50A. Paved roadways throughout. The office staff are very pleasant and efficient. Good Sam discount brings fee to the amount displayed. My 40' Class A and 18' enclosed trailer fit into a pull thru site with room to park your vehicle.
Has a heated pool and jacuzzi with showers rooms available next to the pool area. Secured gate entrance provides security which is always a plus!!
I would certainly stay here again when in the area. Close to shopping for groceries, shops and restaurants. - kihei7
Jan 2016 - $50.00
All concrete roads and pads. Pretty landscaped near office. All fenced with security gate. Road construction on N. Lake and Lockwood Rd. could still make it thru to rv park. No Shade all small trees. Stayed overnite on way to southern Texas. This park is off Texas service road. Will stay here again for overnite, but didnt like being in Houston traffic. - Get ready
