Wow! I believe that the park is only a couple of years old. Brand new concrete, double wide roads, spacious concrete spots, great WiFi, good selection of cable, pretty pool, beautiful community room with free coffee, hot water, and popcorn, immaculate laundry room with front loading washing machines, $2.50, and dryers, $2.00, clean large showers and dressing rooms, and a pond (that was being drained while we were there to work on it). Each site had a nice size patio, a bit of lawn, and a tree. Our tree had a bird's nest with 2 baby birds and mom. One of the reviews I read stated that it was a glorified parking lot and gave a poor review. I will take this glorified parking lot any time. The managers were warm and friendly. We only spent the night as we are headed back home, but I would definitely stay more than one night if I were visiting Houston. I would have given the park a 10, but it was a bit of a walk to the restrooms from our site. And we will definitely stay again as we are passing through. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One of the less expensive parks on the west side of Houston. Easy access to very busy freeways. Our first ever resort. Clean. Quiet. Lots of rules. Laundry is on a card system. The "lake" is small and man-made, but the city park across the street is lovely. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

What a difference a year makes. Construction all done except for a couple culverts or bridges needed at two of three dog walk gates, and need a keypad at gate so you can walk or bike to the stores. Hwy 6 now qualifies as a resort.

It is really hard to find fault with anything except maybe prices. But then, the park is in a major city and a great location. What makes a difference: email package notice, fresh coffee popcorn and donuts with local paper, free fax machine in great well equipped office, quality exercise equipment, heated pool, WIDE streets, rental storage sheds, tire inflation station, propane, two outdoor kitchens, good park security, quiet neighborhood, five mile paved jogging and bike trail across the street and walk to an Aldi grocery store on the corner.

I saved the best news of all for last: Internet that works. AM PM no slow periods: amazing. Our monthly rate for a 40 foot space by the lake was $789.00. Price depends on length of RV, so you only pay for what you need. Our space was just right length for our 38 footer and room to park toad next to coach. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A good spot in west Houston. New. Clean. TV so-so. Wifi good, but slow during peak usage times. Concrete patio for car or car can go in front of rig. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent new park with smooth, level concrete drives and pads encircling a gorgeous pond and fountain. Equally good clubhouse and pool area with exceptional laundry facilities, gym, and showers. Extremely dog friendly with multiple access points to a dog walk. There's also a dog cleaning station which is fantastic! We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We made reservations and paid for site for 2 weeks February 15 through February 28, 2017. Paid $636.00 although attempted to negotiate for a monthly rate as it would have been less even though we were not planning on staying a full month, we may have stayed longer than we did. Apparently they count days in a week instead of nights. They came to our site about 5:45 pm on the 28th and told my husband that we had to leave as we had reserved the site only through the 28th which meant we had to leave the 28th. They had also given us a notice on the 27th that the monthly rate was going up March 1. The temporary manager called me but did not leave a message. When I returned her call she told me we had to leave and she didn't have time to talk to me as they were closing the office. Very rude to both me and my husband. Incredibly poor management. Will not stay at one of their Quality RV Resorts in the Houston area again.

Closest park to where my family is and easy access in all directions. Make sure that you know you are paying for days not nights. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Good Sams Discount. As previous reviews have noted this is a new park that opened this past fall. It is immaculately clean, all concrete / ashphalt paved roads and sites. We had a pull through, and it was fairly narrow, but plenty of room for our motorhome and slides. Many longer term residents, but absolutely no trash or items stored outside their RV's. It appears that the Park is enforcing their rules. Great heated pool. When we entered the park we were a bit confused as there no signs as to where to park to register. However you can pull to either left or right of the office and will not have any issues getting to your site. Interior roads are wide and easy to navigate. WiFi worked quite well even though the park was essentially full. See it can be done! We inquired about directions to the park well before arrival and got a useless answer via email. However, if east/west bound on I-10, get off at Highway 6 exit west side of Houston, and go south with a light to make access into the park just east of Highway 6 very easy. It is often hard to find a decent park within easy reach of most urban areas. This park certainly defies a paradigm that we had held, but not so with this park. The park hosts advised that the same builder has already built several of these parks around the Houston area, and at this count, one in San Antonio. We would certainly stay at this park again when passing through the Houston area. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Brand new RV park. Coming from south on Hwy 6, it's difficult to make a right turn if vehicles are on Schiller making a turn onto hwy 6. Nice large and level spots. Appears to be lots of full timers. Lots of rules, but many are not followed, ie. keeping your space clean and clutter free. Very quiet though. Very nice people in the office and very accommodating. We didn't use facilities so can't comment on them. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

You are in the middle of west end Houston where you can navigate both north and south, east and west. Lots of traffic, however! But that's just Houston!

Rate was $392 plus electric for a monthly. This is the best place I've ever stayed in! I agree with everything the previous poster said, although she forgot to mention the dog WASH station and catch & release man-made lake in the middle of the campground. I don't recall if she mentioned the uniquely shaped pool and hot tub, which are kept at 87 and 101 degrees, respectively and are open all year. Also the clubhouse with a full exercise room (universal, rowing machine, bike, elliptical, and treadmill - all state of the art), plus a billiards and shuffleboard table (as well as really cozy couches and recliner in front of the tv). Laundry was more modern and cleaner than most commercial laundromats and the showers were impeccable. My only "complaint" is that all that seemed to be missing was a playground for the kids (not a problem for me as I have none), but for families with little ones, it would give them a bit more to do. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sugar Land, about 10 miles south, is a lovely place to visit. It's also very close to Houston's "Chinatown" and pretty much any and every kind of cuisine you want is within reach. Only warning is that there's always a lot of traffic in Houston and the drivers are crazy!!! It about 25 miles to the downtown (city) area and 35 miles to NASA.

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a brand new park with Grand Opening prices - our 40 foot lake front space is $451 plus electric per month. We were one of the first to check-in. Some of the more unique things I saw and experienced during our visit: fresh popcorn and coffee all day long, tire inflation station on the way out, cell phone charging station, no coins or bills needed for laundry, storage sheds for rent, very wide park roads - backing our 38 foot in was done with ease on the first try, various sized sites and pricing so you pay only for what you need, we had enough of room to put all three slides out, park toad next to coach and still have plenty of room to walk around. We have been here a week now and the quiet is very noticeable - no trains - no planes and no highway noise. So quiet in fact that only real noise is the pond aerator pump if your space is around the water - it is on a timer and does not run at night. All park access and egress points are code lock controlled and that was one of the few problems. The main entry gate keypad is located close to gate so it is necessary to get out of vehicle to use it. If staying very long you will want to get a remote - deposit required. I ended up carrying our remote on bike rides as my bike would not trip gate opener on the way out and there is no keypad for exiting, also some of the facilities are undergoing last minute construction but nothing that bothered us in any way - lots going on and it looks like everything will be finished in short order, dog walk gates on the south side of park lead to a hike and bike trail around a lake. Aldi supermarket within walking distance from park entrance, major regional mall just north of park on hwy 6, Westpark toll RD just minutes to the south from park entrance and very convent access to highway 59 or I-10. As fulltimers, Houston is our home base for annual family, friends and doc visits and Highway 6 RV resort will be home Houston home for years to come. We camped at Highway 6 RV Resort in a Motorhome.
