People were very nice here, pool was clean and nice, restroom relatively clean, large laundry facilities. That's the good things. The bad things - lots are very small and close together, lots of permanent people here with trashy sites that need to be cleaned up. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park was attached to a huge fleamarket that runs on weekends, and it was probably 70% filled with long term residents. The roads were paved and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. Our site had grass, which is more important if you have dogs. There was no cable TV connection, but about a dozen OTA TV stations. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was sufficient. The RV parking pad was concrete and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was good, and the internet bandwidth was an 8 out of 10. Verizon cell signal was 3 out of 5 bars. We don't use restrooms or showers (and there was no pool), so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was no dog park (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). We did not notice any significant road noise, but noise like that doesn't bother us anyway. The price was reasonable for the services received, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would likely stay here again. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rally rate. Very nice office staff. Concrete pull thru sites a bit too close. Many full timers loaded with junk, kids on bikes and skate boards, extra cars parked everywhere. No cable but strong wifi, direct tv signal, clean park in general. Grounds in excellent condition. Next door to huge flea market- many Spanish speaking vendors- I saw no bargains, lots of cheap stuff and garage sale items - but worth a stroll on Sat. & Sun. No table or patio area. My 38' motorhome plus a jeep fit in pull thru. Lots of shopping within 10 miles.. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wide open park connected to a major swap meet. Sites are readily accessible but somewhat small and close together. Wi-Fi and antenna TV worked well. Office staff were friendly and professional. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Large RV park part of Flea Market on week ends which draws a large crowd. Mostly concrete pads with little strips of grass. Back of park is mostly permanent units like a mobile home park. Front part near entrance gate are mostly short term. Water hookup is close to sewer dump when it works that is the sewer.. No tables are provided. Rates are excessive( &205/wk & $595/mt) for a non resort type of park. Only stay due to relative closeness to family. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

My husband and I stayed here for some down time and to go the the flea market. The park is more of a large parking lot with some grass. The girl at the office was nice but terrible at directions. The easiest way to get here is to get off at exit 753A from I-10 and go north on Eldridge for about 5 miles. Park is on left. The laundry room and recreation building were closed due to remodeling which this place needs. The pool was closed and no one was using the mini golf or shuffleboard. They both looked closed. The sites are pull throughs and the roads are good but the sites are very close together and there are no picnic tables. There are big garbage pails throughout the park which was convenient. Our sewer overflowed at our site. The hole in the ground was full.

This is mostly a live in park and they actually have very few empty sites. I would not stay here again. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are staying here for the flea market, don't bother. The flea market and buildings were really nice and clean sadly there were hardly any vendors. THis was the worst flea market I have ever been to. It must have been great at one time but not the weekend I was there.

Large campground adjacent to a weekend flea market. Follow the directions of the other reviewer and you will have no trouble getting into the campground. Easy access to highways. Sites are fine for a few days. Due to rains park was wet and partially flooded in many spots. The pull through sites at the front of the campground and closest to the flea market auto entrance are best for easy in and out with tow cars. No wifi. No picnic tables. We would stay here again in our motorhome due to location and easy highway access. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hard to rate as the rains were awful many roads were closed having said that the staff other then the manager were clueless we called several times to get directions and they could not give us correct directions, they have the flea market which make getting into the park on the weekends dam near impossible, the office is not clearly marked, the electric hook ups are very low to the ground and if you use a surge protector you have a difficult time plugging your power cord in it hits the ground. not a great idea when every thing is sitting in water. The office needs some adults not teenagers who when they answer the phone have a little knowledge about how to get there when the freeway is closed, getting wrong directions several times just does not cut it. The site was large but the whole park is nothing more than a giant parking lot. if you want to go to a flea market then it may be the place for you other than that I will pass you also have the toll roads which some are pass only does not take cash and no pay by mail . Would not stay here again if you are just staying the night there are a few parks right off the 10 without having to travel all over the place to get there and. This is a nice campground. They have some pull thru sites.
They have 50 Amp FHU available. The park is clean and tidy.
ATT & Verizon work well. Plenty of clear sky for satellite set up. Restrooms are clean individual cubicles. No train or Hwy noise. Good free WiFi. Internal roads are concrete and pads are concrete but are close together. There is a large swap meet on the site at weekends. We will stay again. We stayed 2 months this time. We have been in the park several times since 2004. Pads are concrete. Some are pull-thru in long term area. In the area set aside for the guest coming for a night or a few weeks, all sites are pull-thru. Good water pressure and Verizon. All sites are 30/50 amp with good power running about 116-118-volts. If you are arriving, take the right gate with RV clearance. RVers in and out of the park, they don't charge a parking fee. They have just changed the park WiFi and it is excellent. Will return again the end of 2016. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great site for an overnight, but call ahead to be sure they have availability -- we came in at 4:00pm and got the last pull-thru on a weekday. Events evidently keep this place busy. Concrete pad was level, all utilities easy to reach, no problem positioning the dish for satellite service and everything we saw was clean and well maintained. Biggest problem was pulling into the park; we sat through four green lights at the two-lane entrance signalling our turn while a long line of cars improperly exited here instead of going one block further to the clearly marked exit. After incurring the road rage of those trapped behind us for 10 minutes, we finally lost patience and simply began our wide turn, blocking their way and causing several to hastily back-up or pull right. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

All roads are concrete and the pads are concrete. All sites seem to have full hookups. We used our satellite so I am not sure if the cable TV worked or not. The laundry room (the one that is open) is clean and the washers worked well. When you use the dryers put in a dollar and let it run. Using less lengthens the time it takes to dry your clothes. If you are there on the weekend and have children along, you can buy them a wrist band for $9.75/day that gives them unlimited rides on 11 different attractions in the "flea market". The rate is great; $30 per night. This park should be considered as having no internet access. Another reviewer pointed out that they were working on it in December. It is still not functional in June. The sites are close together so you are forced to walk on the narrow lawn areas between the rigs which are hilly and awkward or walk around on an empty pad (if it exists). The sewers do not have a positive lock (you cannot screw in a retainer ring) so you have to put a weight on the end of the line to make sure it stays in the drain. You are just sitting on a concrete slab which gets a bit warm this time of year and all the trees are in the back where the shorter rigs and full-time residents live. But, if you are not staying long this is not a big issue. The park is located on the north-western corner of Houston which turns out to be quite a way from attractions like the Houston Space Center. You just need to factor this into consideration for the gas you will use to get to the attractions. Things that were different for us versus other reviews: We followed the directions given by the park on their website about how to get there and did not have any problems finding the sign and finding the correct entrance. There is a clear separation between the RV Park and the flea market. We never noticed any flea market personnel near any of the RVs in the park. The lot closest to the RVs is typically used by vendors who are far too busy with their setup to be of any nuisance to RVers. I only mention this since we were concerned about this issue given an earlier review on the subject. We found it a non-issue. We would stay in this park again if we were in this area again. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is right next to a "flea market". You need to go thru a toll booth to get into the market and the campground. There are signs directing you to the proper gate to get into the park, but are not ready noticeable. My spot overlooked the parking lot of the flea market and there was a lot of foot traffic going by at all hours of the day and early evening. I would not stay here again. I camped in a motor home. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. The park is on the NW side of Houston. It is a very safe park to stay in if you need to be in that area. The park is attached to Traders Village which appears to be a huge flea market in very nice buildings. Park has concrete pads and roads in excellent condition. Excellent hook ups; pad was perfectly level. Grounds were well maintained. The only draw back we could see is with all slides open (including your neighbor's) you are about 6 ft apart from the others slide. Some sites are shaded and some sun. We were in the area visiting a friend - not for the flea market. But the park met our requirements. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.
