This is one of the nicest "RV Resorts" we have visited (we usually look for state parks, but it was booked). Easy access off US 281. We got started a little late today and were on track to arrive after 6pm. The office called us at about 4:45 and stated they would leave our information on the front of the office. No problems at all.

Park is very clean and there is plenty of room between sites (one full site width between each site). We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful setting and a very well designed and cared for park that is clean and maintained. Spaces are wide enough with good access to hookups. Our space had a tree that needed trimming and if you have a dish, you could have problems unless you can move it around due to the trees. We did have some problems with the wifi. It started working finally several days into our stay but they said they were working on it. The issues were with so many people watching movies. All spots were level. Although it's on a major highway, I was far enough back so noise was never a factor. I will stay here again. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

located between Johnson City and Blanco. Short ride to LBJ Ranch or day trip to Fredricksburg. Do check out the Hye Market in Hye...about 5 miles west of Johnson City. About an hour from Austin or San Marcos....not that far from downtown San Antonio.

Attractive campground sitting on beautiful landscape. There is a creek that runs behind the campgrounds that is crystal clear and slow moving, don't think "Texas Tubing" here but rather lazy sunbathing in cool, clear water. Restroom and shower facilities are only handicapped by the shear lack of number, only a couple of showers available, but are otherwise clean and stocked. Spent a weekend here, visited a couple of breweries, Perdernales Falls State Park, ate at Pecan Brewery and Old 300 BBQ. Great hitching post to park your RV and explore the area. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park! Stayed overnight. Everyone was friendly, even invited us to park potluck that evening. Grounds clean and everything looked well taken care of! Sites level and hookups in great condition. Lot spacing was spacious with some shade. Site surface was a concrete pad and features a picnic table and patio. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a surprise to find such a nice park and such helpful staff. The pad sites are spacious and have shade. There are so many things to do and see near the park, including Texas wineries. The beautiful creek and the "watering hole" are nice touches to this park. I will stay here again. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We choose this park because it was in the center of the Hill Country and about the same distance from S.A and Austin. It made for some long drives but was worth it not to move. It sits on a pretty little river and if you can get a back in site the views are beautiful. The interior sites and roads are rock (the only reason it did not score higher) with grass between the sites. The hook-ups where well placed and convent. Some shade trees but not enough to block satellite tv. The front staff is wonderful and if in the area will stay again. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like bourbon Garrison Brothers is worth the trip nice tasting for $12. Hondo's in Fredericksburg had gospel on Sunday afternoon that was very good. Enjoyed Luckenbach and they also had great live entertainment and well over $500,000 in Harley's. Branco also has lots of music options. Of the wineries we enjoyed Becker's the most and on Sunday they also had live entertainment. There is plenty to do in this area, would be hard to get bored.

Visiting family in Austin, but with SXSW (South by Southwest annual music, media and film festival), this was as close as we could get. With that said, we liked this park a lot and would stay here again. Park has lots of long term stays (winter Texans). Clean and well kept.

Lot spacing was nearby with some shade. Site surface was gravel. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Lovely park on Miller Creek. spots are spacious. Wood provided for firepits at no charge. Two meeting rooms one with fire pit. Impeccably clean restrooms and showers. Office sells beer and wine and Lavender products grown locally.Very accomodating. Park owners could learn a lot from management. Only minor complaint would be trash is not picked up. Receptacle provided at entrance. No big deal. Areas are watered using waste water from reverse osmosis. In-between Johnson City and Blanco. Excellent meat market in Blanco. Can't wait to go back. We stayed for two weeks and couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. A well groomed campground with clean facilities. The only thing missing is a swing set or something for children. Highly recommended for a stay in the hill country. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A real gem in the Texas Hill Country and great location for exploring the sights of the best Texas has to offer. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and everything, with the exception of WiFi, works well. Only real complaint is one restroom for such a large park! We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited over Memorial Day weekend and they had historic flash floods in the Hill Country. The resort is on Miller Creek and it rose dramatically but the park did not flood. The park is exceptional in layout and landscaping. Everything is well maintained. There were some long term residents but they were well kept. Management must have strict rules to keep long term residents sites looking very nice. After the flooding a crew was immediately cleaning up debris on creek bank. Sites and roads are gravel but in perfect condition. One of the best parks we have stayed in and we do a lot of traveling. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is in good location for wine tours and in a central location for visits to Lukenbach, Fredricksburg and state and National Historical Park. Parks near Fredricksburg were full due to the holiday weekend. They had spots available all weekend as Johnson City is not a big tourist location. The park was not in the city, but a rural location several miles from town.

Very sorry to downgrade our rating (last time we stayed here we loved it), but we were assigned a gravel parking spot in the storage unit area. No grass, no picnic table, no vegetation of any kind, and worst of all, no warning. I understand that it's a holiday weekend (but we did book over a month ago) and they said we wouldn't be "on the river." However, when one books a site at a "resort," one does not expect to be in a parking lot. The office staff is very nice, but I do think it'd behoove them to prepare folks in advance. All the other sites are very nice, although there is a fair amount of highway noise toward the front of the park. Our dog enjoyed the smallish but off leash dog run. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our pull-through site was long enough to accommodate our motorhome and toad, but tight side to side. Park staff trimmed a tree on one side so we could fully extend our slide, but a tree on the door-side prevented us from fully extending our awning. The sites and roads are crushed stone, which are watered to keep the dust down. The park is being expanded across Miller Creek, but there is no direct access from the overflow to the main park, only by car via a very busy divided highway. The cabins are cute and quite comfortable. There is a great indoor firepit and the winter Texans know the secrets for starting the fire and making it draft. The regular guests we met were all really nice fun people. We enjoyed a live band booked at the rec room. We will stay again. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Miller Creek RV, located between Johnson City and Blanco, is a great base for exploring these two towns. We enjoyed the Garrison Bros. Distillery tour, hiking Pedernales Falls State Park, touring LBJ Park and the Pedernales Electric Coop Christmas lights display.

Nice park located between Johnson City and Blanco. Gravel sites and roads but not dusty or muddy in rain. Nice fire pit room and nice clubhouse for rallies. Restrooms were clean but only one shower each for men and women. Could use more places for trash, as only one container in the very front of the park. Rate shown is rally rate.
