This by far is one of the best RV parks I have been to. This park is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country about an hour outside of San Antonio. Has all the amenities one would look for in an RV resort. Pool & hot Tub (2, one open to all one for adults only) fitness room, concert hall, outdoor bar, 9 hole putting green, cottages. Park also has sites in a area reserved for Adults only that includes its own pool/hot tub and restrooms and showers.

This park also has a section called THE CLUB, that consist of Privately owned Casitas. Staff was very friendly, park offers a good social calendar to mingle with other residents. I highly recommend this park.

I did a short video highlighting the park

More services than we needed for an overnight but we paid for them. Having RESORT in name says it all. Would likely be nice place to spend some extended time but to much for a one nighter. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Small on sight store, many amenities and activities for those staying longer that over night.

Very nice grounds and large sites, but for price and "resort", Wi-Fi almost nonexistent even though they have 6 access points. Also, the cable TV channels are fuzzy and not just at the site we were in; I talked to a few others. They pay $20 a month for a faster internet connection and they went to DirecTV or Dish Network satellite. So for $44 not worth it with so many other parks in the area. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty of nice towns within 30 minutes.

The rate reflects the monthly rate. We had made reservations for the month of December and before we finished setting up, we added a second month. This is probably one of the nicest and finest RV resorts we have found in our 5 years of fulltiming. Sites are large and well laid out for easy hookups. The facility is extremely well maintained and clean. Roads are paved and parking pads are level concrete with a generous patio space for the provided picnic table. Water pressure is high, so use a regulator. All of the utilities are easily accessible and in excellent condition. We have no negative comments about Buckhorn Lake. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lunch at Camp Verde
Pinnacle Grill has good food and outstanding views of the Hill Country
Bella Serra, good Italian lunch prices
Hastings is a great book store and movie rental
Gibson's Hardware, everything you could want and more

Level concrete pads bordered by small stone areas and well-tended grass. We had several days of heavy rain prior to and during our stay, but the sites were so well-graded and maintained that there was no mud anywhere we walked or drove in the park. The first site (6018) we were assigned had a voltage problem at the pedestal so we were moved to another site that was fine. Trash is picked up each morning. Staff was pleasant and facilities were clean. Some sites have patios. There was a home cooked breakfast on Saturday for a nominal charge. Each shower had a seat. Our only quibble on behalf of those using the showers is that the attachment for the handheld shower head was broken on two of three showers, so it was only possible to use these as handheld showers and not fixed-spray heads since you can't adjust the head to stand under the spray. Overall a very nice place. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This is it! This is the perfect RV resort. The staff is friendly and efficient. The park is nicely maintained and everything is spotlessly clean. We especially love the adults only pool and hot tub. The showers are excellent. This is our favorite park. We stop here every winter because we can have maintenance work, including an oil change on our rig done at our site in the park. This saves us money and the hassle of having to take the rig into a shop. The service is always excellent. This park sets the standard for all other parks that call themselves a "resort". We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of shopping, including WalMart, and restaurants in nearby Kerrville.

We have had the pleasure of visiting here a few times through the years. Everything about the resort is excellent. If you have a large rally, the staff will cater the meals. They are always excellent. Verizon signal is a bit weak, but that is not a fault of the resort. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Absolutely loved this park. This is the nicest RV resort we've stayed at in a long time. Check in was very quick, office folks are very courteous and friendly, they have a very nice store with all kinds of things to buy including beer and wine and BBQ they cook themselves, very tasty! We stayed in the adults only section of the park and our site was very nice. It was fairly level concrete pad, all utilities worked good, had about 60 lbs of water pressure, 50 amp voltage was good. Sites are well spaced with plenty of room. There are a lot of amenities to take advantage of, very nice exercise gym, movie theater, 2 pools, lots of room for walking the dog plus a large fenced in doggie play ground, there are also some nice tennis courts. For what they charge I don't think you can beat this place, we stayed here 9 nights and were sad to leave. We will be back. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

A beautiful, well-maintained park with easy access to I-10. Lots to see and do in the surrounding Texas Hill Country. Wide concrete pads with ample patios. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Our favorite RV park, hands down. The park is so well laid out, and maintenence/upkeep is great. Sites are long and have plenty of room. Roads are in excellent shape, as is everything at this park. Cable TV was above average, very clear picture. I did not attempt to connect to the wifi. Water pressure 60 psi. Staff was pleasant. Many high dollar motorhomes in this park. This is one of the few places I would consider full timing in some day. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Buckhorn is such a great RV park. It's right next to Interstate 10 but we couldn't hear the highway at all. We stayed in one of the executive pull-thrus and it was not only spacious but well landscaped. Next time I'd take a back-up spot on the Cul de Sac as just about all front water and trees and such.

As we walked around the well maintained grounds we found ourselves in their private "Club" section. It was full of RV/Cassita lots there were all built in Texas limestone, with metal roofs, just beautiful settings. These aren't for rent and they are for Class A "lease owners" only.

We live only 60 miles away from Buckhorn and have driven by many times. Now, we plan to make several more trips here once the Texas heat cools down. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

While Kerrville is a neat little town, you'll like Fredricksburg, TX about 30 miles north of Buckhorn even better.

Yes, the layouts and park is superbly done, but it is very aggravating to come into an upscale park with bad Wi-Fi! It was not crowded. We were in the adult section. I tried at midnight and at 6 in the morning! Horrible. And Verizon difficult as well. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the executive/adult section. Large concrete pads and patios, with lots of room between sites. Our site was a pull-in facing the river. It was beautiful and very peaceful. Adult pool is heated and very clean, with few people using it. Staff was great, and the grounds are wonderful. We took advantage of the RV wash/wax at the site and was very happy with it. We will be back! We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The City of Fredricksburg is about 30 minutes away...lots of stores and restaurants.. Kerrville is about 4 miles away and has a super Walmart, HEB grocery stores, liquor stores and everything else you may want, including good dining spots. San Antonio is about an hour away.
