Great resort. Pull through sites, wide, level, concrete. Friendly staff. Beautiful area in the hill country. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

50 minutes to San Antonio.

We stayed in the executive/adult section. Large concrete pads and patios, with lots of room between sites. Our site was a pull-in facing the river. It was beautiful and very peaceful. Adult pool is heated and very clean, with few people using it. Staff was great, and the grounds are wonderful. We took advantage of the RV wash/wax at the site and was very happy with it. We will be back! We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The City of Fredricksburg is about 30 minutes away...lots of stores and restaurants.. Kerrville is about 4 miles away and has a super Walmart, HEB grocery stores, liquor stores and everything else you may want, including good dining spots. San Antonio is about an hour away.

This is one of our favorite parks. It has just about everything, except shade. Everything is immaculate and works well. Excellent WiFi and cable. Sites are spacious--some noise from interstate but it doesn't bother us. Showers and laundry are great. Beautiful exercise facility looking out onto a little creek. A little too cool to use the pool, but I did get into the Jacuzzi; heavy rains kept it from being used much, as there was no roof over it. That was the only thing I could see to improve. Not much park activity going 0n in May, as it was between seasons when the winter Texans had left, and the summer season hadn't started. Excellent library. Friendly staff. We'll definitely come back here. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For good Tex Mex, we highly recommend Mamacitas in town. We also recommend Del Norte for breakfast and Billy Gene's for dining on the river.

Beautiful park - serene - nestled among a lot of trees. Just off I-10 but no road noise. The buildings - from the office, club house, and other buildings are really nice. The pads are concrete and very level - large spacious sites. This was our first time staying here and we were here only for one night - but we plan to go back and stay longer. The grounds are immaculate! Check in was easy and lady on phone and in office was very courteous. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the Executive section of the park and it is was great. Long level, concrete pull-in sites with room in between spaces. We overlooked the water from our patio with table & chairs. Location is out of town and quiet. Verizon service is almost nonexistent. We did not use any of the facilities. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fredericksburg is only 25 miles away and filled with restaurants & shops. We did not find much to do in Kerrville other than basic shopping (Walmart, groceries, etc.).

Good value for the price. If you don't need to be on the river this is a great place - nice landscaping, well laid out, good roads, good facilities. Sites are level concrete pads - our back-in held the motorhome and toad but I would have liked a few more feet to spare. Then again, if it had been a big deal I'm sure we could have changed sites - they weren't crowded. Width-wise there was ok separation between sites. Wifi also ok - near as I could tell (remember the not crowded part). Good thing - Verizon data was marginal. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at several other parks before, including this one; however, it is far superior to any others we checked out. Some would be ok during normal Kerrville weather but the area is having deluges of rain the entire time--which is sorely needed by the area; however, this is the only park in the area with adequate drainage. The water runs off very quickly and the pads are concrete, with rocks and grass. There are fishing ponds, meeting areas, workout areas, etc. Almost anything one would need at a resort can be found here. Everything is extremely well maintained. We will definitely return. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We use Goat Creek Road to go into Kerrville. TR when you exit, go under I-10 and continue straight into town. When you see a sign, spur 98; tr and that will take you to HWY 27 and to Walmart, Starbucks, HEB, MANY RESTAURANTS, FUEL, ETC AND DOWNTOWN KERRVILLE. If we are going to Lowes or Home Depot, we head south on I-10 to Hwy 16 exit and tr for those stores and shopping and restaurants as well. Hwy 16 and tl will take one to Fredericksburg, TX.

Very nice place to stay. Stayed overlooking the small stream. Sites are cement with grass. Nice spacing. If we stay again will stay in the adult only section where there is less freeway noise from I-10. Large expansive grass areas for walks with your pets. Easy on/off I-10 located on a dead end road which is good for walks. Easy check in, trash pickup at site each day, propane delivery on Fridays, if you need it. The park puts on lots of functions for snowbirds and those who are staying only a few days. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fredericksburg is a must!! Kayaking on the Guadeloupe River, fun. Lots of country roads to ride bikes. 1011 Bistro a great place on the river to eat!! Near by is the High Country Distillery along with a couple of winery. Lots of fun.

This is an outstanding Resort. Great for Big Rigs. Easy in, easy out. Hook-ups are well laid out. We stay here every chance we get. Close to Fredricksburg and other places of interest. We camped here in a motor home. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Great Park! New, well laid out...lots of big rigs. We have a back in space with a greenway behind us and nice space between RVs. Concrete pads, picnic tables, small shade tree and view of the stream to the side. The dogs love it. Nice dog park but its a bit remote from camp so not suitable for my old dog but there is so much lawn around it doesn't matter. There's plenty to see and do in this area. Its an easy off and on on I-10 but you will want to do more than overnight once you get here...as we did. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Price above reflects weekly rate. This was our first stay at Buckhorn Lake Resort and we found it to be an excellent park. It is well laid-out, well maintained, and in a scenic location. In addition to being a great park for touring nearby Kerrville, Bandera, and Fredericksburg, we could see why many stay for extended periods of time - because they offer many social activities for those who seek social activities. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Especially beautiful scenic drives are Highway 39 along the Guadalupe River from Ingram through and beyond Hunt. Also exceptional is State Highway 16 between Kerrville and Medina - this is a beautiful curvy road with river crossings and scenery all along the way. If you enjoy hiking, Enchanted Rock state park located about 20 minutes north of Fredericksburg is a must - just remember to pack water.

Beautiful park even in the slush and cold. They had a spaghetti supper that was just awesome. Home made sauce and all. They had a country music jam afterwards that was fun. Very clean and wonderful. Nice retreat from the ice and sleet. We will return many times as our travels cross paths. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Weather permitting there is plenty to do in the area and at the park. It was cold and rainy when we were there and still had a g00d time. Kerrville area has so much to do we will return. This includes RV repair to Movie theaters, shopping and places to eat. Their brochure covers it all.

Nice well maintained park with convenient access to/from Interstate and to Kerrville. This is a combination rental and ownership park. The ownership portion is very remarkable, the rental portion sites are OK but nothing special - concrete pad, some grass and a picnic table. Very nice workout room. WiFi was horrible - could not get email's most of the time and forget trying to stream video. Upscale park like this needs better WiFi for me to return. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

It deserves the 10-10-10 rating by Woodall's!! Everything works including cable and wifi - super nice staff. Nice extra touch of rock areas where water would accumulate in heavy rain - to eliminate any mud. When it's raining we search for concrete pad sites!! We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.
