We flew in to San Antonio to pick up our new RV at Kerrville RV Sales which is a user friendly, family owned dealership and very easy to work with. They put us up in the RV park for the night so we don't know the cost. We arrived late, picked up our information went to our site and plugged in. This beautiful park is on the river and is something special. A lot of thought and imagination want in to building this park. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

You're in the hill country. Don't miss the War in the Pacific Museum in Adm Nimitz hometown of Fredericksburg. Ditto the donut shop and Mexican restaurant in Kerrville.

Coming in from the east of Kerrville, the park seems like it is halfway to Junction. It is a good ways out of Kerrville or any services. Park it self is first class and is one of few parks calling itself a resort that is a resort. In June the park was very empty. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is an excellent campground with paved roads and concrete pads. Our long pull-through site had a concrete patio with table and grass between sites. It's a large campground and some sites appear to have nice casitas. The wifi worked well, and we had no tree issues for satellite. One big attraction is its easy access to I-10, but no road noise. We were here only 2 days, but will definitely plan to stay longer in the future. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Park successfully hosted yet another Texas Ramblin' Roses RV rally, with 22 rigs and 3 cabins. Wonderful staff, wide and long pull-thru sites, great cable, wi-fi, and full hookups. They even have pickle-ball courts and a putting green. Curbside trash pickup by 10am. Just outside of Kerrville and easy access off IH-10. A great location for rallies, or just family getaways. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Don't forget Gibson's for all shopping needs and Billy Genes restaurant for down-home cooking. Also, book through the office for great wash/wax rates with John Solis.

We only had a quick night's stop here, but what a beautiful park. Clean doesn't come close to describing this place. And although we arrived at dusk, we could see that the resort offers many wonderful amenities! Level, concrete spaces. I only gave it a 9 since good wifi is important to us, and we didn't get great signals, but perhaps that was the location we were in. I wish we'd had more time, but we're on a long family road trip. Glad we found this gem and definitely plan to return! We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an RV park Resort and it has many lovely amenities. We stayed here for 8 days to visit with friends and tour the Texas Hill Country. When we checked in we explained that we were a 40' RV towing a full size pick up and needed parking room. We were put in site 6031, backed up against the maintenance shed. We backed into the space...no problem...but had little room to park our pickup. In fact, we had to encroach on our neighbor's site. The garbage trucks came twice a week at 5:30 AM to pick up the garbage. Very noisily. I don't think the park should put anyone along this south corridor unless absolutely necessary and then the price should be reduced. We would stay here again but will be very specific in our reservations to ask for the adult section with a water view. Be aware that electricity Is Not included in the site fee. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This is one of the top RV parks we have ever been to. We arrived during the rains from hell but the park was spotless. Check in was a piece of cake. Nice fitness centre. We had a site on the river. It rained and I mean rained. Great park, nice staff picked up your trash every day. Will stay here again. Great little town with some wonderful restaurants and several golf courses. We love this park! We have stayed here 5 or 6 times in the past and have never been disappointed. It is truly a 10 10 10. We stayed 9 times this time, staying over due to big rains. It was very crowded when we arrived due to the winter Texas who had not left yet, and we were given a choice of a back in site near the maintenance shed or one of the lovely drive in motorhome sites, which we have had before and love them. I do not understand a previous comment about electricity not being included. Our fee of $44 included everything. Everything is paved, and sites are spacious, but many have no shade. Lovely exercise room overlooking the creek, great wi fi and cable, two pools and two hot tubs, one each for adults only. It does fill up and you need to make your reservation early, especially for week ends until mid April when the long term residents start to leave. Lovely barn for socializing, such as a Saturday morning breakfast; great lending library and of course excellent bathrooms and showers. This is our park of choice for the hill country. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We always make a trip to Gibsons Discount Center; it's said to be the only one still in existence today. It's a fun place to wander through; sometimes you can find things that you can't get elsewhere. Mamacitas is great for Tex Mex. Hill Country Cafe on Main St. in old downtown Kerrville is a good place for breakfast, as is Del Nortes. Snowflake Donuts, next to Billy Genes (another good place to eat) has the best, flakiest croissants and kolaches. We always go there at least twice.

This is one of our favorites park and we stay here whenever we pass through the area. It is a resort with beautiful, spacious sites. The park is excellently maintained, office staff are efficient and professional. We also use several local repair people, ie, oil change, while staying at the park because they come right to your site to do the work. The park is very easy to access from the freeway and the town of Kerrville is nearby for shopping, etc. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This place is your normal upscale RV resort. Nice, clean, spacious paved roads and flat cement pads. The spaces are not super close and separated by a grassy strip. This is a pretty large park but a large amount of it is private and only allowed use by it's members. Not cheap for just a 1 night pass through stay but a nice park. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. The facilities are top notch. They organize many social events that are reasonably priced, well-attended, and a lot of fun! The dog park is a must at 4:30 each day. The only negatives I could note is their pools are not heated and you do hear the I-10 traffic noise. The people are so nice and they have awesome pickleball! We've stopped at Buckhorn Lake a number of times and have never had an unpleasant stay. The sites are paved and level with plenty of room between you and your neighbor. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Town is not too far for dining out or shopping. Easy on and off the highway. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This by far is one of the best RV parks I have been to. This park is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country about an hour outside of San Antonio. Has all the amenities one would look for in an RV resort. Pool & hot Tub (2, one open to all one for adults only) fitness room, concert hall, outdoor bar, 9 hole putting green, cottages. Park also has sites in a area reserved for Adults only that includes its own pool/hot tub and restrooms and showers.

This park also has a section called THE CLUB, that consist of Privately owned Casitas. Staff was very friendly, park offers a good social calendar to mingle with other residents. I highly recommend this park.

I did a short video highlighting the park

Very nice grounds and large sites, but for price and "resort", Wi-Fi almost nonexistent even though they have 6 access points. Also, the cable TV channels are fuzzy and not just at the site we were in; I talked to a few others. They pay $20 a month for a faster internet connection and they went to DirecTV or Dish Network satellite. So for $44 not worth it with so many other parks in the area.
