We stayed here in a 45' MH pulling a Ram 1500. There was lots of room to negotiate into the site without unhooking. Was very convenient to I-10. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that on most nights they serve dinner (set menu) in the red barn. Our night they were serving salad and pasta for $10. The roads and sites are paved. The only downside is the park is not close to anything. The town is several miles away. Overall it was a beautiful park, friendly staff and I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

The stone entrance to the park is very cool, and there's a roundabout with a large windmill and wagon wheels, giving it a very Texas-like feel. They have a small store with a few supplies, and the girl who checked us in was very sweet. I asked her if they sold trash bags, as we were out, and she said they didn't, but she gave me 2 bags until we could get to the store. This place has one of the nicest dog parks we've seen! It's grassy, fenced in, and very large! We just stayed for one night, on our way to Arizona, but we plan to visit again, and stay longer, so we can enjoy the many activities the Texas hill country has to offer. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Camping and recreation facilities were impeccable. The grounds are decorated for the Holidays and look spectacular. This is a benchmark facility to measure others against. Part time Workampers were engaged and very helpful throughout our stay.

Only knocks were that ---front desk personnel were not welcoming, I felt I was putting them out whenever I spoke to them, ---and the WIFI is not at a level I would expect at a park of this price and reputation. When I asked at the front desk, they rolled their eyes and gave me the "we know, there is an upgraded coming" response. I will be interested in following this forum in the near future to see if the upgrade gets implemented. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. Close to I-10 but road noise wasn't bad. A little pricey but good service, full cement pad and patio, pretty good free wifi and 36 channels of free cable. Cell was 2-3 bars LTE on VZW. Place was very nicely decorated for Christmas. Good water pressure and 2 water hookups was nice. Rented a DSL modem so wife could work for a $2/day (just in case wifi clogged up). worked well. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Plenty of shopping and eateries nearby. We took a day trip to Fredericksburg and went to the Nimitz/Pacific War Museum which was great. Also great German food there too!

Love this RV resort! This is a beautifully laid out RV resort in the Hill Country of TX. There are two RV campgrounds, of which one is adults only, and each has a hot tub, pool, showers. There is a third part which is a class A motor home community with porthomes done in limestone style with varying water features throughout. If you want to visit Hill Country this is an excellent place to make home base while exploring. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is beautiful, level, and paved, but not worth the extra cost in my opinion. Wifi is worse than usual rv park experiences and highway noise is horrible. All Windows closed, farthest from the road and with white noise fan and still loud. Service wasn't bad, but wasn't great either, just kind of curt and to the point only...no niceties. Space is short and narrow. Could barely park vehicle at a slant under hitch nose in order to fit in space. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rally rate of $36 per night. This is one of top 5 Rv resorts in Texas. Wide asphalt drive ways, concrete sites, picnic table, manicured grass at every spot, gracious check in staff and total updated looking facility. There is a adult only area with pool plus a private ownership Club across a bridge, get a for sale list from management. Facilities are wonderful. Located off I-10, easy access; park is surrounded by low hills, trees, nice landscaping so makes for a nice setting. About 7-10 miles from center of town. We have stayed here many times, gets HOT in summer. Wondering creek winds through property. Some full timers live here. Some sites have trees. Strong wifi and 50 amp power. Office has some planned activities. Trash pick up at curb. Many nice on site rec buildings. This is one of our favorite spots. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed in this park for a week during Thanksgiving holiday. I have stayed at camp grounds and RV resorts all over the country, and this is maybe the best I have ever stayed at. The grounds and the park itself are immaculate, the staff are friendly and professional. We have visited the Kerrville area many times but this is our first time in this park. I will definitely not be our last. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

There are many things to see and do around Kerrville, as well as the surrounding area. If time permits, make a trip to Comfort, Tx. It's about 20 miles outside of Kerrville. Neat little town with some good restaurants and friendly folks.

Our favorite park in the US so far. Huge sites, gorgeous landscaping, friendly owners and neighbors, good off-leash dog park. Nice dinners and shows in Red Barn. Nearby Kerrville is a great town with restaurants, 2 HEBs and Walmart. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful, well maintained and super friendly staff. Sites are spacious, daily trash pick up and amenities galore. Love the adult only areas including pool! Plenty of fishing, wildlife and even a doggie park for our little pup to play off leash. We will definitely be back! We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is on of my favorite campground in the US.
Wide asphalt streets, wide concrete sides with nice golf grass on each side.
They have 2 pools (each with a whirlpool), one pool area is for adult only which is good for relaxing.
They also have plenty of green area with trees for walking with the dog near a creek and also a very big faced dog area.
Only the wifi isn't fast enough for modern web surfing, so we used our smart phone as a hotspot, the AT&T signal was with 4 to 5 bars LTE very strong.
On thing which I didn't like is that they have air dryers in the restrooms instead of paper towels. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Like others have said this is a true resort. They have an adult swimming pool combination shower room/bathroom facilities and another one for families with children. The only drawback for us was the distance to the dog park since we have two dogs. However, they let you walk your pets on any of the grassy areas as long as you pick up after them. So it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, a lot of the activities were not going on in August. This is a wonderful park with great views and great employees. I am sure you need reservations in the winter months. The interstate is pretty close so there is some noise from that. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
