This is an excellent park, well laid out, wide paved roads, paved, concrete pads, and grass, with patio, and extra long. Ample pull-throughs and back in sights as well. Number of sites are waterfront sites, and as a plus they have an Executive Adults Only section with its own pool, hot tub, bath and shower house. Friendly staff with well stocked store. 4 pickle ball courts and 1 tennis court. Two pools with hot tubs (one adult only). Good WiFi (most of the time), convenient to I-10, easy on/off, though can be noisy, but not too bad. Convenient to Kerrville, Comfort and Fredericksburg (nice to be here W/O the traffic of Fburg). We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The resort is conveniently located off of I-10 and appears nice from the road. The staff was less than thrilled to see me, I didnt appreciate the way they greet new guests. The sites are nice but it was too much like a concrete neighborhood for me. I prefer alittle more nature and less highway. The breaker tripped multiple times (which hasn't happened in any other campground I've been). The WIFI is a complete joke and unreliable. The highest speed result i got was 0.98mbps! Rude people were all around popping fireworks in the street (July 4th) and I didn't really feel welcome. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Still the best in Texas. Asphalt interior roads, level concrete pads. This park is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Lots of amenities. Great adult section with it's own shower/laundry building and pool. Great park for rallys. Easy access to interstate 10. One hour drive to San Antonio. Local town has good shopping for basic needs. Super Walmart 10 minutes away. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

One of my favorite RV resorts in Texas, if they would clean the showers and restrooms every day (not every second day) I would give this resort a 10! Big concrete sides and wide paved streets make it easy to navigate and hook up the RV. There is also a nice fanced dog run and a very quiet area for adults only with a extra pool, restrooms and showers. The internet is good but the wifi signal is not very strong but for around $25 per month you can rent your own Internet box and with your wifi router you enjoy your own strong internet connection. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

We were last here 4 years ago and gave this park one of its less than glowing reviews. This time was similar. This park would be a "Great place to stay for a few days" as long as you are the kind of customer they prefer. Having a "glory suit" would help you fit right in. The sites are FHU, but ours was not level. The cable was OK, but the Wi-Fi was useless. Once again, we (and my 50ish, very professional, mixed niece who visited us from Dallas) felt very uncomfortable in this atmosphere. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Here for a rally. Great park. Loved the wide open areas behind our site, 6111. Great for the dogs. Nice maintenance man who loaned me tool to fix a slide. Clean park with excellent facilities. About a 10 min. drive to town. Close to I-10 very convenient but some road noise. Would definitely go back. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here in 42 foot fifth wheel. Very large concrete pads. Room for the largest rv and tow. Nice patio. wide paved streets. True resort. The down side was very poor WiFi and the person who checked us in was not very friendly. Seemed like we were a bother. Would not stay again for that reason. While we are not usually resort people, the campground is an easy on/off from I-10. They have a lot of activities for those wishing to stay longer than the one night we stayed. They have a nice store with the expected high prices. Streets were paved and the sites were concrete. We had a pull-thru which allowed us to stay hooked-up for the over-night. I was surprised though that the site had a right to left lean. I'd have expected it to be more level. The utilities were well placed and worked as expected. A limited number of cable TV channels were offered. This was a good choice for an over-night stop. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, concrete pads, good TV, no electrical service problems along with sewer, water, etc. Good activities for campers - clean pool, nice personnel running the campground. They charge for electricity usage as a surcharge, even though there were no meters at the site. We have never had this happen anywhere before. I think this is a rip off We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Large spots. Nicely kept. Ourselves and our friends made a reservation 7 months in advance for specific spots. However, when we arrived, the folks in those spots decided to extend their stay so we got slots at the back of the park with views of the maintenance shed and dumpsters. Awesome! At most parks when you extend your stay, they move you to a slot that someone did not reserve in advance. So beware when making your reservations if you are picking a spot in advance, it won't mean much when you arrive. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a well maintained campground with long level concrete pull throughs, back ins and front facing sites. While we didn't use them, it has a good sized pool, clubhouse, pickleball courts and exercise room. The outdoor cafe/patio area is decorated with old Texas artifacts and signage. There are pet cleanup stations throughout the park.

The pull through sites are plenty long for our 43-foot coach and tow. Some of the front facing sites face the creek and look out on the ownership section which offer a really nice view and many water features. Next time we may opt for one of those for the view. They have a very well stocked store. This would also be a great location for a rally with there various facilities for groups.

We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Resort is easy access from I-10 with pretty good access through the park. We have a 45ft MH and were in the park for three days during a fifth wheel rally. I think this limited the spaces available and our site was a really tight pull in and tight car parking. Almost everything hung out a bit into the road. That said, we got into and out of our spot with some careful driving. When walking around the resort, there were larger pull-throughs and pull-ins that looked larger. There are a few trees and the one on our site had not been trimmed recently. We scraped the coach getting in but called the office and they sent someone right away to trim the tree. Utilities worked fine and well placed. The sprinklers around our site dripped constantly so there was a bit of a puddle all around. Nice walking area along the water in the middle of the resort. Was not able to connect to the wifi so relied on the hotspot. The park was nice enough but does not fit our personal taste so we would not make a point of going there in the future. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This has always been one of our favorite parks, but this time we were not so thrilled. Wi fi was terrible; probably it was our location, which was down by the flagpoles. There are towers all around the campground, and we have always had good wi fi, but not this time. We have been coming here in April for a number of years, but this was the only site we could get to stay a week. The site was ok but evidently not the wi fi range. The man behind us was also having trouble with wi fi. Campground is beautiful; exercise room terrific; great cable TV, and many activities. Everything is sparkling clean. We were surprised when we were told we had to pay extra for our electricity; we were told that it was policy if you stayed a week or more. We stayed 9 days last year, and nothing was mentioned or charged about electricity; many campgrounds give you a free night if you stay a week. When I made the reservation on the phone, I was given a price, and nothing was mentioned about electricity. Sometimes I wonder if it's who checked you in. At any rate, we had a good time and love the park. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.
