Came for a large rally (60 +/- rigs) and spent 5 nights. Sites are concrete, long enough for rigs and vehicles. Grounds relatively clean except for all the deer poop (you'd find new on your site every morning). Laundry facility was clean and in working order. Western Town Rally Hall was interesting, lots of antique decorations in one room, a kitchen in the next and a dance hall in the 3rd. One would think plenty of room for a rally group, but with over 100 people in attendance, we couldn't all fit in 1 room and trying to hear announcements or what not was difficult as speaker would have to go room to room. They need a larger, more open area in my book. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Truck Camper.

This park is a well kept 'secret'. Set in a beautiful Pecan Orchard we stayed here 3 nights using this as a base to see lovely Kerrville and also go across to Fredericksburg. The park does have long concrete sites with FHU although we used a back-in site with still plenty of space. Picnic table in generous space between sites. Deer come in the morning and evening and ponies are in the adjacent field. Phone reception good with OK antenna reception. Lovely owner and staff. We stayed 2 nights using Passport America ($26) and 1 more night using Good Sam ($40). So quiet and yet only 6 mile to Ingram and then into Kerrville. Highly recommend this park for convenience and using as a base to visit Fredericksburg. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kerrville is a beautiful town and then go to Fredericksburg where it is a must do to tour the National Museum of the Pacific War - home of Admiral Nimitz Museum. Entry ticket give access for 2 days and if you really wanted to take everything in, you will need 2 days. Unfortunately we could not but we very much enjoyed the time we spent there.

The rate was monthly including electricity. We have been here several times for rallies and the campground continues to be impressive. All utilities worked well, Verizon hotspot was reliable, campground WiFi worked most of the time, facilities were clean and well taken care of, and no trees blocked our rooftop dish in site 14. We enjoyed watching their small horses and the creek overlook. Our cement pad was broken up so we had to watch it when we walked and the site next to us was much closer than at other sites. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This a small, family owned RV Park cut into the beautiful hills of Ingram. It is located 5 miles NW outside of Ingram on Johnson Creek. The roads are paved and the RV spots are concrete. They do ask that you use pads under your jacks. RV spots are nestled in a pecan grove w/ birds singing and deer at dusk. There is a nice clubhouse along w/ a gazebo and patio. They have nice, clean showers and bathrooms that have their own door for privacy. The laundry room is coin operated. Note, clothes lines are not allowed. You have cell phone coverage here and there is WiFi. This is not a "campground". There are no fire pits, due to the high fire danger. There are a lot of rental buildings/apartments here and it would be a great place for a rally or a wedding, etc. The owners and the people who work here are very nice. I am glad to learn the Owners are going to add an Activities Coordinator to plan and execute activities for the Winter Texans. That will be advantageous for their business and elevate this place to more of a "resort" type facility. Some spots are spacious and others are small. The exercise room is really not an exercise room, if that is important to you. Keep in mind, there is no such thing as a "perfect RV park/resort/campground", etc. You need to do your research and pick which one suits you best. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The $15/night rate is with a monthly stay. This is great place for a "home base" w/ lots of activities to do in the Hill Country. Wineries, restaurants. State Parks Fredericksburg is good for a whole day. Make sure to go to the Pioneer Museum. Go too Bandera, Boerne, & Comfort. Encore Restaurant in Ingram has great food and overlooks Guadalupe River.

Looks like they keep this park up to date. All the interior roads were nicely paved, as were the parking pads. Lots of trees. Sites are a little close, but decent. Saw a herd (20 or more) of deer grazing nearby until a dog barked and they slowly moved on. There's a bunch of Shetland or mini ponies on site that you can give carrots or celery to. Overall a nice park. Would definitely stay again. Price reflects P.A. discount. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Johnson Creek RV Park was the destination for the maiden voyage in out travel trailer. We chose this park after visiting this and other parks in the Kerrville area. The park is located outside of Ingram in a quiet Hill Country setting. Although rustic in appearance, it is well maintained. The concrete slab was level and the space between sites is generous, leaving ample room for outdoor furniture and a small grill. The park is located in a pecan orchard (the pecans are small and and have a slightly sweet taste). Apart from the full hook ups and cable connection there is free WiFi in the park. Most of the sites were occupied, many by long term campers. Everyone we met was friendly and the staff very helpful. Most of the sites are pull throughs with plenty of room for tow vehicles. Restrooms and showers are clean. We will visit again. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 3rd winter here. This is a beautiful park: good location, i.e. quiet, remote; great atmosphere, i.e. horses, located in a pecan orchard, plus nightly visits from axis deer; includes a clubhouse, a chapel, and western town [no description possible, you just gotta see it for yourself]; the owners and employees are friendly, helpful and conducive to a family atmosphere. There is a great activity schedule including activities, potlucks, and lunches out. If we didn't have other obligations we would return. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here with a RV Club for three days and could not have been happier. The park was clean, long pull through sites with cement slabs, lots of pecan trees, three meeting rooms, had propane available, and nice staff. We are planning to return next spring with another RV Club to see the flowers bloom. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed three days over the weekend. Park is nine miles west of Kerrville on an easy to travel highway. Park is very clean and quiet. Lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. She will only be there in 2017. All sites are concrete, with concrete or paved roads. Lots of trees. You can request a site at "The Grove", a little extra cost, but in a dense tree canopy. Lots of deer on or close to the camp. They grow miniature horses. You can hand feed over the fence. A good walk is out the back gate to the main highway. Our site backed up to the dog run. We could put our dog in there and let her run in an enclosed pen. Did I say very quiet and peaceful. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Travel Trailer.

We paid the monthly rate plus electricity. Roads and sites are cement. Many tree throughout the CG but our site allowed the rooftop dish to work well. The 50a power & utilities all worked well. Their WiFI also worked well as did our Verizon cell phone and hotspot. CG is very well maintained. Church services held in Western Town. Two nice clubhouses available for the rally. Nice park situated in a pecan orchard, lots of dear. Many winter Texans return every year. This was our first time there and we stayed a month at $425 plus electricity. Family of 4 came to stay a week in a cabin - they an out of hot water after one shower. Shower facility was not clean, and when reported, excuses were made. Owners seem very focused on their status as award winning RV park, and encourage guests to like them on Facebook. We were not impressed with customer service. We winter at this park, from Nov to March; our rate was based on our monthly rate. This is a very clean, quiet park located in a pecan grove. Axis deer are seen every evening in the grove. The park is home to some miniature horses; fun to watch.

Interior roads and pads are paved. The park offers two clubhouses. Both are very nice. Propane is available on site, trash is picked up daily at your site. Wifi is pretty decent. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice shady park in the country. Trees are messy, but shade is welcome!

Pool closes in September, wish it was open when we were there! Roads are cement, but worn and broken and rough in spots. Sites are concrete, no patio, just grass and dirt. Hook ups were good and sites were roomy. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects combined SKP and Passport America Discounts (we stayed 4 days total.... we used PA discount for 2 days, and SKP discount for 2 days). This park is very clean, and well laid-out. The sites are long, level and concrete. There are treed sites, which is great for shade, but not so much for satellite. (We have a portable dish that we use for situations like this, so no worries!). Utilities worked well, and we had a great Verizon signal. Highly recommend, and would stay here again. We camped at Johnson Creek RV Resort & Park in a Motorhome.
