Nice, well maintained little park. Great rate at $15/night for 20/30/50 and water. Large, level, back in site fit both truck and trailer with no need to disconnect. Unfortunately, contrary to what other reviewers said, my stay was not quiet at all, even with the park empty. Locals were cruising the adjacent street with music turned way up all night long. A few drove through the campground and left when they saw the camper. Barking dog at one of the neighboring homes and several trains throughout the night. Might be different during the week, but I would not return on a Saturday night. And probably would not return at all. Just too loud. We camped at Harris St RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, well maintained, clean and quiet. No working 50 amp at any of the sites the night we stayed there, but 30 amp was fine with the use of an adaptor. There is no sewer hookup at the sites but there is a dump station. As other reviewer wrote: "The RV park entrance is on the west side at South Commerce street between Harris Street and West Woodlawn (Hwy 42)." We will stay there again when in the area. We camped at Harris St RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a great find. Elec and water. Has dump station on the way out. Very quiet. Nice park connected with children's playground and tennis court. Nice walking path. If you're between Dallas and Shreveport on I-20, check it out. Probably not a good park if your RV is longer than 34 ft. We camped at Harris St RV Park in a Motorhome.

The other reviewer provided a good description of the RV park, but as he indicated it is difficult to find. I spent over a half hour at dusk looking for it, finally getting correct directions from someone walking his dog. It is in Driller Park, a very large park. Correct GPS coordinates are listed in the new version of rvparkreviews.com, but for those people who do not have a GPS.... The RV park entrance is on the west side at South Commerce street between Harris Street and West Woodlawn (hwy 42). There is a RV park sign at the entrance, which includes a location that is only close on my GPS. I could not rate service, since nobody was there. I did not have time to go to City Hall and look for the correct office the next morning. I'll telephone them and mail a check when I return home. We would stay there again. We camped at Harris St RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

While in Kilgore, I suggest visiting the East Texal Oil Museum at the intersection of Ross street and Henderson blvd, also known as Highway 42 and 259. Look for an oil derrick at the entrance. Listing highway 42, but different local street names is correct. Highway 42 has a right angle turn and the street name changes.

This is a city campground. There is no web site I could find. The phone number is Kilgore City Hall. You can call for reservations or to pay for the site, but there is someone who comes around in the morning to collect. There is not a particular time as the person collecting money has other jobs to do. You can pay for multiple nights and there is a 7 night limit unless you get permission for longer. I stayed 3 nights and there were no more than 3 rigs during that time. No one seems to know this place is here. There is electric 20/30/50 AMP at each site along with water, a picnic table and grill. There is one dump station, also with water, none at the sites. The RV park is located on the south end of Driller Park, past the two ball stadiums. There is also a small playground and two tennis courts. The nets were not too good, but the surface was fine. All the sites are back in and only have concrete pads a little over 30 feet long. You can overhang the pads as long as your entry door is not too far back. This park did not seem to be designed by someone familiar with RVs. Downtown Kilgore and a couple museums are approximately 2 miles from the park. We camped at Harris St RV Park in a Motorhome.
