We were here for the weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cable and wifi were both good (we were close to the office). I saw plenty of evidence of TLC and elbow grease throughout the park. The staff was very helpful and professional, having a propane tank filled was a simple matter of setting it out by the road and letting the office know. We found La Grange to be a very interesting little town. We will definitely return. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

It is a nice park and very nice staff. This had been a mobile home park, so the sites are a good size and angled well to back in. The interior roads are good and wide. The WiFi was iffy at first, but now it's perfect. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here overnight passing through. It was easy in, easy out for our long fifth wheel. The park was flooded during Hurricane Harvey, and they are still repairing things, but it was fine for overnight. I'm sure once it's cleaned up it will be great. It's right next to the river. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

This looks like it was a fairly nice park until hurricane Harvey came through. They had a lot of damage and it is still apparent. Most of the sites were back in service and level. There is a lot of trash and debris all around perimeter and along the river. Check in folks were very nice and they said they were working hard to clean up the place. It was fine for an overnight stop. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly stay in a 40ft. motorhome. Medium sized nicely landscaped park. Has a mix of long term residents and shorter stays. Pull-thru sites were for short term stays only. Most sites were gravel and mostly level. Wifi was only good if close to office. Electrical charges seemed excessive. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Motorhome.

Agree with both previous reviews. Main part of park is an 8, the back section is probably a 6 or 7. We were in main section and quite pleased. Huge site with some shade. Our site was level back in, all utilities good. We were in area for the Blue Bonnet festival at Chappell Hill, lots of fun. Also the "Painted Church" driving tour was enjoyable. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

First the good. The sites are huge both in length and width. We had a back in site. Grass was well maintained and mature shade trees throughout. Folks were very friendly and helpful. Park is incredibly quite. Every site has its own trash can which is emptied regularly. Roads are concrete and sites were gravel. We didn't use the cable but water pressure was good and utilities all were good. Watching the deer was fun. The deer are so tame you can get very close without them running off. They also graze with the cattle next door. Both were very fun to watch. The bad. Our site (site 36) was tough to level because the rear jacks would just sink into the gravel about 3 inches or better. looking around at the other sites and this seemed to be a problem only with our site. Cats.... Our site was between two mobile homes. Apparently while they have strong rules about dogs on leashes and picked up after not is true with cats. Our neighbor had (at best count) 5 cats all were left outdoors most of the day. I found them under our slide, in our chairs and pooping in the gravel next to our MH. I mentioned the problem to the office and they said they'd talk to the owner but nothing was done. Internet is only at the community center. In fairness they told me we would not get internet at our site when I booked the reservation. Still, Internet is something we have come to expect. Over all we really liked the town of La Grange and the park. We would absolutely come back but I'd ask to be parked further away from the Cat House. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were very disappointed to see that this park has declined in the last few years, but even more disappointed to find that we had been given a space that was in the back away from the main park. This area is very run down and backs up to mobile homes. There are old RVs and trailers sitting about, moist. Children from the mobile homes, and permanent residents. It is dusty, dirty, and not at all appealing. And forget wifi. It is non-existant. The park network does not even pop up under your network connection. It's not a slow connection, there is NO connection. When I called the front office to inquire about the situation, I was told that there is a hotspot at the community center, which in the weather, is not within walking distance of the back area. Talk about an inconvenience. Cable was so-so. When a park advertises feared wifi, it shouldn't work for ALL spaces. Another problem was loose dogs. We encountered several stray or loose dogs in the park and several "packages" left behind to step in. If you can get a spot in the main area, you may be ok, but it looks like most of those are taken by regulars. I would NOT stay in the back loop. All in all, we probably will not return. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was a great place for our overnight stay. We had a nice pull thru site with plenty of room in the park for maneuvering a big rig. The person in the office was very friendly and helpful about the area. The campground was well maintained and quiet at night. Verizon cell and wifi worked good. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, wide spaces, we were in a back in, no problem for us, they do have pull throughs. Cable tv is good, Like a previous reviewer, we only got 10 or 12 snowy channels then I remembered to turn my antenna booster off. We got all the channels. We have no complaints, We would stay here again. Main office people very helpful. wifi is good. We camp in an Airstream and always ask for a spot close to the wifi tower. Most camps accomodate our requests. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here many weekends while boating at Fayette lake over the summer. The staff was helpful and professional. We were able to store our boat and camper on site at reasonable rates. The grounds were well kept, nicely landscaped, clean pool, large pet friendly areas, safe and very quiet. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

The roads within the park were wide and paved. The sites were well maintained, spacious, shady, and level. There was plenty of gravel plus there was a cement pad under the picnic table with our site. The owners were very nice and helpful. The park did have restrooms and showers, but there were only two and they were inside the clubhouse. Of course this will not be a problem for travelers with facilities of their own. We were not charged for the ice which was a pleasant surprise. Each site has it's own trash can with a decorative cover. There is a huge offset barbecue unit for anyone who wants to use it. The path along the river is nice. A dozen deer grazed right outside our site each evening. We were very relaxed at this quiet, beautiful park. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

This primarily a long term park with 15 daily rental puu-throughs and several backins. WiFi and cable are acceptable/good. Park is always clean. Sites are packed gravel and fairly level and most have some to lots of shade. Only blocks from good Mexican Food restuarant and downtown. Swimming pool is very small. The Colorado River is adjacent but almost invisiable from the part because of trees and bluffs. We stay here freqeuntly. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very clean and very well maintained. The office personal were extremely helpful as we needed to extend our stay several times. It is a quiet, peaceful park with deer visiting frequently. We used the pool once and found it very clean and refreshing (in the Texas heat). Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Motorhome.

La Grange is a great small Texas town. Many good places to eat including a Mexican restaurant less than 1/4 mile away. Walmart and HEB are close by. Local ER is 3 miles away and well staffed. Austin is only 1 hour away!
